IMPORTANTI AVVERTENZE ED ISTRUZIONI DI SICUREZZA

1) Leggere attentamente tutte le istruzioni e seguirle fedelmente.

2) Conservare queste istruzioni per consultazioni future.

3) Attenersi alle avvertenze.

4) Non usare questo apparecchio vicino all’acqua.

5) Pulire solo con un panno asciutto.

6) Non si devono ostruire le aperture per la ventilazione. Installare secondo le istruzioni del costruttore.

Prestare particolare attenzione ai cavi e alle spine che fuoriescono direttamente dall’apparecchio.

10) Utilizzare solo prolunghe/accessori specificati dal costruttore.

11) Utilizzare solo carrelli o supporti consigliati dal fabbricante oppure venduti con l’apparecchio. Se si
usa un rack o un carrello diversi essere molto cauti nello spostamento: un’eventuale rovesciamento
potrebbe causare lesioni a persone e danni all’apparecchio stesso.

12) Per ulteriore protezione estrarre la spina dalla presa durante temporali o lunghi periodi di inattività.

13) Per ogni intervento rivolgersi ad un centro di assistenza autorizzato. E’ necessario un intervento
quando l’apparecchio è stato danneggiato in un modo qualsiasi, compresi ma non limitati ai seguenti
casi: quando il cavo di alimentazione o la spina risultano danneggiati, quando liquidi oppure oggetti
sono entrati nell’apparecchio, quando l’apparecchio è stato esposto a pioggia o ad umidità, quando
non funziona secondo le normali regole oppure quando è caduto.

14) ATTENZIONE: queste istruzioni di assistenza sono solo per personale autorizzati. Per ridurre i
pericolo di shock elettrici non tentate di effettuare alcun intervento che non sia specificato in questo
manuale a meno che siate autorizzati a farlo. Inoltre l’apertura del cabinet invaliderebbe la garanzia.

15) Non installare l’apparecchio in un mobile chiuso come una libreria o simile, è necessario garantire
una ventilazione adeguata intorno al cabinet e quindi bisogna lasciare libere le aperture di
ventilazione.

16) AVVERTENZA: per evitare rischi di shock elettrici o principi di incendio non esporre l’apparecchio a
possibili travasi di acqua e quindi non appoggiarvi sopra dei contenitori di liquidi come vasi o altro.

17) AVVERTENZA: la presa principale serve per scollegare l’apparecchio e quindi deve essere
facilmente accessibile.

18) La figura del lampo in un triangolo evidenzia la presenza di corrente non isolata e quindi

pericolo di shock elettrici o principi d’incendio e quindi il divieto di aprire sia il coperchio
superiore che quello posteriore dell’apparecchio.

La figura del punto esclamativo vuole allertare l’utente sulla presenza di istruzioni
importanti per l’utilizzo o la manutenzione dell’apparecchio.

19) Questo apparecchio è in Classe II, cioè a doppio isolamento elettrico ed è stato progettato per non
richiedere necessariamente del collegamento alla massa.

20) Eliminazione corretta del prodotto. Il marchio che si vede sull’imballo indica che deve essere
considerato un rifiuto speciale, per cui è necessario attenersi alle regole del proprio paese nel caso
lo si debba eliminare. Una buona norma è di riciclarlo attraverso il proprio rivenditore.

Congratulazioni per l’acquisto del vostro mixer della serie Connect che sono il risultato di molti anni di
esperienza nell’utilizzo, nella progettazione e nella fabbricazione di apparecchiature professionali audio.
Da quando Gilbert Briggs costruì il suo primo altoparlante nel 1932 ad oggi Warfedale ha sempre mantenuto
lo stesso standard di qualità nei componenti, nella mano d’opera e nelle prestazioni.
Si prega di leggere tutto il presente manuale per essere in grado di ricavare il meglio dal vostro mixer della
serie Connect.

A PROPOSITO DELLA SERIE CONNECT

La serie Connect della Warfedale Pro sono mixer compatti di alta qualità ideali per una vasta gamma di
applicazioni.
Caratteristiche molto importanti per un mixer professionale come l’alimentazione phantom, gli ingressi del
microfono bilanciati XLR vi offrono una completa funzionalità ed un suono notevole in un apparecchio
ultracompatto e dal giusto valore che si rivela perfetto nei vari campi, dalle rappresentazioni dal vivo alle
registrazioni in studio ed in discoteca. I preampificatori del microfono utilizzano gli stessi componenti di alta
qualità ed i metodi di costruzione che trovate nei nostri mixer più rappresentativi.

INTERFACCIA USB – pag. 5 del manuale

Il connettore USB prevede che computer con collegament o USB si possano interfacciare direttamente con i
mixer della serie Connect per consentire complete riproduzioni e registrazioni in duplex. Recentemente
l’introduzione dei collegamenti in USB sta facendo apprezzare le positività dell’audio computerizzato
favorendo la fusione tra il digitale e l’analogico ed aprendo verso infinite possibilità per chi registra.

I convertitori interni AD (analogico a digitale) e DA (digitale ad analogico) sono da 16-bit/48kHz consentendo
di registrare e riprodurre CD di qualità superiore, garantendo che le registrazioni fatte con un mixer Connect
siano di una qualità eccellente.

I mixer Connect sono completamente conformi alla classe e non necessitano di drivers quando utilizzati con
gli attuali sistemi operativi come Mac OSX, Windows Xp, Vista e 7 che non richiedono ulteriori driver di
software.

Installazione di Windows XP

Scegliere semplicemente un dispositivo nella seguente posizione: Start/Settings/Control Panel/Sounds and
Audio Devices/Audio.

Installazione di Mac OSX

Selezionare semplicemente un dispositivo di ingresso ed uscita usando la pagina “Audio MIDI Setup” e
potete trovarla facilmente usando la funzione spotlight.

UTILIZZO DEL CANALE MONO: a pag. 7 riferirsi all’immagine confrontando la numerazione.

1. Ingresso bilanciato XLR per il collegamento di microfoni.

2. Ingresso di linea bilanciato/sbilanciato: questa presa TRS serve per il collegamento a sorgenti di

linea bilanciate o sbilanciate.

3. Controllo del guadagno: per ottenere il miglior rapporto segnale/rumore ed una gamma dinamica

adeguata.

4. LED del Clipping: l’indicatore luminoso segnala la presenza di clipping.

5. Sezione EQ: il controllo HI EQ è centrato a 12 Hz.

6. Sezione EQ: il controllo Mid

EQ è centrato a 1kHz (solo per il modello Connect 802)

7. Sezione EQ: il controllo Low EQ è centrato a 80Hz.

8. Manopola Pan: regola il bilanciamento del segnale inviato ai canali destro e sinistro.

9. Manopola Level: consente di regolare il livello di segnale che si invia all’uscita principale

UTILIZZO DEI CANALI STEREO

1. Ingresso bilanciato/sbilanciato TRS per il canale sinistro o per sorgenti di linea mono.

2. Ingresso bilanciato/sbilanciato TRS per il canale destro di sorgenti di linea stereo.

3. Controllo del guadagno: per ottenere il miglior rapporto segnale/rumore ed una gamma dinamica

adeguata (solo per il modello Connect 802).

4. Sezione EQ: il controllo HI EQ è centrato a 12 Hz (solo per il modello Connect 802).

5. Sezione EQ: il controllo Mid EQ è centrato a 1kHz (solo per il modello Connect 802).

6. Sezione EQ: il controllo Low EQ è centrato a 80Hz(solo per il modello Connect 802).

7. Manopola Pan: regola il bilanciamento del segnale inviato ai canali destro e sinistro.

UTILIZZO DELLA SEZIONE MASTER – riferirsi all’immagine e numerazione a pag. 8 del manuale

1. Uscite principali bilanciate/sbilanciate TRS.

2. Phones: per il collegamento di cuffie.

3. 2 TK IN: le prese di ingresso 2 track servono per il collegamento di apparecchi per la riproduzione (la

presa da 1/8” ha la priorità su altre).

4. 2 TK OUT: le prese di uscita 2 track servono per il collegamento di dispositivi di registrazione (la presa

da 1/8” ha la priorità su altre).

5. Led +48 acceso: indica che l’alimentazione phantom è attivata.

6. Led POWER acceso : indica che il mixer è collegato all’alimentazione domestica.

7. Manopola 2TK In: controlla il volume del segnale in entrata agli ingressi 2 Track.

8. Pulsante 2 TK to Phones: premendo questo pulsante si indirizza l’ingresso 2 track all’uscita cuffie.

9. Pulsante 2 TK to Mains: premendo questo pulsante si indirizza l’ingresso 2 track alla porta Main Mix.

10. Il Led che chiude la fila indica il tempo reale presente alla porta dell’uscita principale.

11. La manopola Phones controlla il volume delle uscite della cuffia.

12. La manopola MAIN MIX controlla il livello del volume globale della porta del main mix.

UTILIZZO DEL PANNELLO POSTERIORE – riferirsi ad immagini e numerazione a pag. 9 del manuale

1. Connettore per il collegamento del cavo di alimentazione, utilizzare solo l’alimentatore autorizzato in

dotazione della Warfedale Pro.

2. On/Off – commutatore per l’accensione/spegnimento del Mixer Connect.

3. On/Off Phantom – commutatore per accensione/spegnimento dell’alimentazione Phantom +48V.

Lo schema è prettamente visivo e quindi facilmente comprensibile seguendo il pecorso dei cavi : quello nero

9. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarised or grounding plug. A polarised plug has two

blades with one wider than the other. A grounding plug has two blades and a third grounding

prong. The wide blade or the third prong is provided for your safety. If the provided plug does

not t into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.

10. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at the plugs, convenience

receptacles, and at the point where they exit from the apparatus.

11. Only use attachments/accessories specied by the manufacturer.

your Connect Series mixer.

INTRODUCTION

The Connect Series from Wharfedale Pro are high quality compact mixers that are suitable for a

wide range of applications.

Professional big mixer features such as Phantom powered, balanced XLR microphone inputs give

you full functionality and great sound in an ultra compact and cost effective package that is ideal for

live sound, home studio recording and xed installations. The Microphone pre-ampliers use the

same high quality components and construction methods that are employed in our agship mixers.

All Connect Series models feature an intuitive, ergonomically designed user interface that is

excellent for beginners and professionals alike. Comprehensive connectivity ensures that a Connect

mixer will t into any situation you need.

The USB connector enables computers with USB connectivity to interface directly with
the Connect mixer for full duplex recording and playback. In recent years the introduction
of USB connectivity has ushered a new appreciation of the capabilities of computer
audio, helping to fuse both digital and analogue and open up endless possibilities for the
recording musician.

The internal AD (Analogue to Digital) and DA (Digital to Analogue) converters are 16-bit/

48KHz enabling recording and playback above CD quality, ensuring that recordings that
you make with a Connect Mixer have outstanding quality.

The Connect Mixer is fully class compliant and requires no drivers when used with
modern operating systems. Mac OSX, Windows XP, Vista and 7 will require no additional
driver software.

Simply choose the device in the following location: Start/Settings/Control Panel/Sounds
and Audio Devices/Audio

Mac OSX Installation

Simply select as an input and output device using the "Audio MIDI Setup" page, you can
