IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
This electrical appliance must always be used according to the following safety instructions. Save these instructions as this manual contains important safety and operating information.
When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS APPLIANCE
1. Read all instructions before using this Heater.
2. This Heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Use grip handle when provided.
3. Keep combustible materials such as drapes, furniture, pillows, bedding, paper, clothes, and curtains at least three (3) feet (0.9m) from the front of Heater and away from its sides and rear.
4. Extreme caution is necessary when any Heater is used by or near children, invalids or pets and whenever the Heater is left in operation and unattended.
5. Always unplug Heater when not in use. To disconnect the Heater, turn controls OFF first, then remove the plug from the outlet.
6. Do not operate any Heater with a damaged cord or plug, or after the Heater malfunctions, or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return Heater to manufacturer for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment, or repair. (See Warranty for information.)
7. Do not use outdoors.
8. This product is not to be used in bathrooms, laundry areas, or other similar indoor locations. Never locate Heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.
9. Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners or the like. Arrange cord away from area where it will not be tripped over.
10. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause electric shock or fire, or damage the Heater.
11. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked. Use the Heater on flat, dry surfaces only.
12. A Heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored.
13. Use this Heater only as directed in this manual, Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
14. Avoid the use of an extension cord because the extension cord may overheat and cause risk of fire. However, if you must use an extension cord, the cord shall be #14 AWG minimum size and rated not less than 1875 watts.
15. If the Heater will not operate: See specific instructions on Auto Safety Shut Off.
16. Do not place the Heater on an uneven or small surface which might allow it to tip or fall.
17. Do not operate the Heater with Heater Guards removed.
18. The Heater must be 12 inches (300mm) distance away from the wall or other objects.
19. This Heater includes a visual alarm to warn that parts of the Heater are getting excessively hot. If the alarm flashes, immediately turn the Heater OFF and inspect for any objects on or adjacent to the Heater that may cause high temperatures.
