Thank you for your purchase of a state of the art Watts Premier Water Treatment system.
This lter pure system is equipped with a unique swivel valve in head push button assembly. This allows for a simple and sanitary push button lter change that does not require you to turn off the water source to the ltration system.
This two stage system is equipped with a sediment prelter and a high quality carbon block lter. The sediment lter reduces the sand, silt, sediment and rust particles that may be in your water. The high end carbon block lter reduces the chlorine tastes and odors that may be in your water,
providing you crisp clean great tasting water at your tap.
Watts Premier also has a series of replacement lters that t into this unique swivel head system.
These include:
Granular Activated Carbon lter for chlorine, taste and odor reduction with higher ow.
·
Ultra Filtration Membrane for greater particle reduction including cysts like Cryptosporidium,
·
Toxoplasma, Giardia and Entamoeba.
Lead and VOC lter block for the reduction of lead and harmful chemicals. It is estimated that
·
VOC’s are present in one-fth of the nation’s water supplies. These water contaminants can
enter ground water from a variety of sources including localized use of herbicides and pesticides,
gasoline or oil spills, leaking underground fuel tanks, septic system cleaners, and chemicals used
in the dry-cleaning industry.
System Maintenance
Just because you can not taste it, does not mean that it is not there. Many contaminants in the
drinking water are undetectable to the taste. Additionally, over time if you do not replace the lter elements, other bad tastes and odors will be apparent in your drinking water. This is why it is important to change your lters at the recommended intervals as indicated in this system
manual.
When replacing any of the lter elements, pay special attention to any cleaning instructions. Should
you have any further questions please refer to our web site at www.wattspremier.com or call our
customer service department at 1-800-752-5582.

Attach Tubing to System
Step 1 The two quick connect elbows are pre installed in to the back of the Filter-Pure
system. These elbows can be rotated in order to allow for the green and blue tube
Step 2
Step 3
Take the green tube and push in to the quick connect elbow that is by the red colored sediment lter on the left of the system. Make sure the tube is fully pushed in all the
way to the tube stop.
Take the blue tube and push in to the quick connect elbow that is by the yellow colored carbon lter on the right of the system. Make sure the tube is fully pushed
in all the way to the tube stop.
Mount the System Under the Sink
Step 4 Determine best location for the ltration system to be mounted near the cold water
supply angle stop valve to allow for future system maintenance.
Step 5
Using the mounting holes on the system bracket, mark the location for the mounting
screws on the cabinet wall. In the parts bag, locate the 2 self tapping screws. Using an electric drill with a Phillips bit, screw them into the cabinet wall.
Mount the ltration system.

Drill a Hole for the Faucet in a Porcelain Sink
Note:
Step 6
Step 7
Step 8
Most sinks are pre drilled with 1 ¼” diameter hole that you can use for your faucet. (If you are already using it for a sprayer or soap dispenser, see step 1)
Porcelain sinks are extremely hard and can crack or chip easily. Use extreme caution when drilling. Watts Premier accepts no responsibility for damage resulting from the installation of faucet. Diamond tip drill bit is recommended for drilling in porcelain.
Determine desired location for the faucet on your sink and place a piece of masking tape over where the hole is to be drilled. Mark the
center of the hole on the tape.
1
Using a variable speed drill set on the slowest speed, drill a
hole through both porcelain and metal casing of sink at the marked center of the desired location. Use lubricating oil or liquid soap to keep the drill bit cool (If drill bit gets hot it may cause the porcelain to crack or chip).
Using a 1/2” Drill Bit, proceed to drill the larger hole. Keep drill speed
on the slowest speed and use lubricating oil or liquid soap to keep the
hole saw cool during cutting.
/8“ pilot
Step 9
After drilling, remove all sharp edges and make sure the surroundings of the sink are cooled before mounting the faucet.
Punch a Hole for the Faucet in a Stainless Steel Sink
Note:
Step 10
If mounting faucet to a Stainless Steel Sink you will need a 1/2” Hole Punch. The faucet opening should be centered between the back splash and the edge of the sink, ideally on the same side as the vertical drain pipe.
Drill a 1/8“ pilot hole. Use a 1/2” Hole Punch and an adjustable wrench
to punch the hole in the sink.
The faucet can now be installed.

Faucet Installation
Choose the conguration that matches your faucet:
Connect Blue tube to Faucet
Step 11 In the faucet parts bag locate a brass compression nut, plastic
ferrule sleeve and a plastic tube insert. To assemble- place the compression nut on the open end of the blue tube attached
to the ltration system, then the plastic ferrule sleeve (small tapered end of sleeve pointing to the end of tube), nally push
the white plastic insert all the way into the end of blue tube. Insert the assembled blue tube into the faucet stem and tighten the brass compression nut with a wrench.
DO NOT overtighten.

Do not use Teon tape with the Adapt-a-Valve.WARNING:
Turn off the cold water supply to the faucet by turning the angle stop valve completely
off. Open cold water on the sink faucet to relieve pressure.
Choosing the conguration that ts your plumbing, attach the adapt-a-valve as
illustrated in the three photos above. *Do not forget to install the white compression washer for 3/8” conguration.
Locate the 1/4” green tube attached to the ltration system.
Insert the open end of the green 1/4” tube into the open 1/4”

System Start-up
Step 16
Step 17
Turn the faucet handle to the open position to start the ow of water through the ltration system. Run approximately 7 gallons of water through the ltration system to ush out the normal black carbon nes. The water may “sputter” until the
air is purged out from the system and the water may appear cloudy due to air purging out from the system.
(Your faucet may vary).
Check for leaks over the next 24 hours.
Once the ushing process is completed the water from the ltration system can be
used.

Changing The Filter Cartridges
Your system is equipped with valved heads which will automatically turn off the
water supply to each lter when the lter is released, thus you do not need to turn
off the incoming water supply at the Adapt-a-Valve. The faucet must be off when
lters are replaced. To make the removal of the lter cartridges easier, the heads
& cartridges may be swiveled up to 90 degrees as shown in the pictures below.
