5. Connect the USB Cable / Cradle
and Charge the Main Battery
Connect the USB connector to an
available USB port on the back of your
PC.
The cable on the power supply connects
to the rear of the USB connector or cradle.
Plug one end of the power cable into the
black power supply box. Plug the other
end of the power cable into an AC outlet.
Plug the other end of the USB cable into
the bottom of the WPA206 unit. It will only
fit into the slot one way. If it does not go in
easily, turn the cable over and try again.
After connecting all the cables, the unit will
begin charging. The battery is charged
when the red LED on the top front of the
unit turns green. You may use the unit
while plugged in but charge the unit for at
least 16 hours before mobile use.
(The LED on the power supply is always
green when powered.)
6. Power on the WPA206
After powering on the unit, follow the
WPA206 onscreen prompts to set up the
unit and set the time zone. The correct
time zone is very important. Based on the
time zone you set, the date and time will
be synced with the PC each time the unit
is connected and synced.
7. Install ActiveSync software
WPA206
Using the included Microsoft ActiveSync
CD, install ActiveSync. Follow the
onscreen prompts in the installer.
If you purchased any integrated Wasp
software, you should install that software
after ActiveSync is installed.
8. Other Accessories and Parts
Other accessories and parts that come with
this unit include an extra stylus, PCMCIA
pull tape, and a CF card holder.
The PCMCIA slot is in the top compartment
on the back of the unit. Before inserting a
PCMCIA card, attach a strip of the pull tape
to the end of the card so that it will stick out
of the slot. This will allow you to remove the
card by pulling the tape.
The CF card slot is in the battery
compartment. The battery and a small snap
on cover behind the battery must be
removed to access the slot. Attach the CF
card to the supplied holder and slide it into
the memory slot. The holder will allow you
to properly install and remove the card.

Steps for getting started
with your WPA206 mobile
device
1. Unpack
Open the box and remove all the pieces from
their protective packaging.
Parts included: WPA206 unit, a bag with
extra parts including an extra stylus, a power
cable, a power supply, a battery, a USB
cable, and at least one CD.
2. Remove the Protective Film
Remove the protective film from the LCD
display on the WPA206 unit and discard.
3. Open the Battery Compartment
Take the stylus out of the back of the unit
or from the extra parts bag. Pull off the tip
of the stylus to reveal a screwdriver.
Turn the WPA206 over and place it on a
solid flat surface. At the bottom of the back
of the unit there are two large screws
below the lock and unlock images.
Gently turn both screws counterclockwise
with the screwdriver. They will only turn
one quarter turn, and then the screws will
pop up. When both screws have popped
up, use the strap to gently pull up on the
bottom of the door. The door is hinged to
the unit at the top of the compartment.
Take the door completely off.
