OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed.
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS FOR VARIABLE SPEED BLENDER.
2. To protect against electrical hazards do not immerse motor unit in water or any liquid.
3. Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.
4. Avoid contacting any moving parts.
5. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions
or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the Waring Service Center for
examination, repair or electrical or mechanical adjustment.
6. Do not use outdoors.
7. Do not let cord hang over the edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
8. Keep hands and utensils out of container when blending to prevent the possibility of severe
personal injury and/or damage to the blender.
9. Always operate the blender with the cover in place.
OPERATION
1. Make sure that power switch is in the off position.
2. Turn knob counterclockwise to its minimum setting.
3. BEFORE CONTINUING MAKE SURE THAT THE BLENDER CONTAINER IS SECURELY ON
THE BASE UNIT.
4. Turn power switch on the unit to the on position.
5. Rotate speed control knob clockwise increasing the blender speed to the desired point.
NOTE: If you desire to start from a set speed follow the preceding steps 1-3 and then set the
desired speed before turning the blender power switch to the ON position.

Ship Blender for repair to the above address or to an Authorized Service Center.
Do not ship to a Waring Sales Office.
NOTE: If your application involves the processing of biologically active materials, we
request that any items returned for service be sterilized before being shipped.
Such items must be clearly identified as having been sterilized both by a tag
on the item itself and by a statement in the accompanying correspondence.
Waring will not accept delivery of any returns unless they are so identified.
Replacement parts for your own “Out of Warranty” repairs are obtainable at the
above address.
GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
• For your protection, Waring Commercial Blenders are equipped with a 3-conductor
cordset.
• 120 Volt units are supplied with a molded 3-prong grounding-type plug, and should be
used in combination with a properly connected grounding-type outlet as shown in
Figure A.
If a grounding-type outlet in not available, an adapter, shown in Figure B, may be
obtained to enable a 2-slot wall outlet to be used with a 3-prong plug.
Referring to Figure C, the adapter must be grounded by attaching its grounding lug
under the screw of the outlet cover plate.
CAUTION: Before using an adapter, it must be determined that the outlet cover plate
screw is properly grounded. It in doubt, consult a licensed electrician.
Never use an adapter unless you are sure it is properly grounded.
NOTE: Use of an adapter is not permitted in Canada.
• 240 Volt units are supplied without a plug, and an appropriate one must be installed by
user in accordance with local electrical codes observing the following cordset
conductor color coding:
GREEN/YELLOW: EARTH GROUND BLUE: NEUTRAL BROWN: LIVE
