ELECTRIC DUPLEX™ COOKER
GENERAL INFORMATION: Vulcan duplex cookers combine a
flat griddle surface with a swing-down heated top platen to provide
two sided cooking. Griddles are available in 24", 36", 48", 60" and
72" widths. Top platens have a removable cooking shoe with a
non-stick cooking surface. Top platens may be specified over any
portion or all of the griddle plate.
STANDARD FEATURES
■ Stainless steel front, sides, back splashers and 4" legs.
■ Spatula width front grease trough feeds into two removable
side mounted stainless steel grease collectors.

⁄4" thick rolled steel griddle plate, machine ground and
polished.
■ 3.75 KW input for each 12" of griddle width.
■ One solid state temperature control for each 12" of griddle
width.
■ Top platens with removable non-stick cooking shoes available
in 2 KW (208 volt) or 2.67 KW (240 volt) input.
■ One solid state temperature control for each top platen.
■ Counter balanced lift assists hold each platen in the “UP”
position when raised.
■ Requires a 208 volt or 240 volt, 1 or 3 phase power supply.
■ 135 day warranty on the non-stick surface of the cooking shoe,
one year limited parts and labor warranty on the balance of
the unit.

SPECIFICATIONS:
Electric two sided duplex cooker, Vulcan-Hart model no. EDC
_________. Base griddle unit has stainless steel front, sides,
back splashers and 4" legs. (24")(36")(48")(60")(72") wide 3⁄4"

IMPORTANT:
1. An adequate ventilation system is required for commercial
cooking equipment. Information may be obtained by writing
to the National Fire Protection Association, Batterymarch
Park, Quincy, MA 02269.
When writing refer to NFPA No. 96.
2. All models require a 6" clearance at both sides and rear
adjacent to combustible construction.
NOTE:
Floor models are shipped with 4" adjustable casters. Please
specify if adjustable bullet style legs are desired in place of
casters.
Counter models are shipped with adjustable 6" legs. Counter
models are designed to be used on either a refrigerated base or
a stand. Counter models must be installed with legs in place to
firmly hold the griddle in order to give easy upper platen movement.
