INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing the VTech® Record & Learn Photo AlbumTM. The VTech® Record & Learn Photo AlbumTM provides a unique
combination of learning and family fun! Place seven of your favorite family photos in the textured pages, and record your own message for each photo. The album also teaches colors while baby explores. Music mode features more than 20 melodies. The handy carry handle flips to convert the album into a stand-up frame.

WARNING:
1. All packing materials, such as tape, plastic sheets, wire ties and tags are not part of this toy, and should be discarded for your child’s safety.
2. Photos can contain harmful substances. Please do not remove plastic sleeve in case your child tries to touch or place the photo in his or her mouth.
Demo strip removal: When the product is taken out of the packaging, please remove the demo strip from the unit to activate normal play mode.
NOTE: Please keep user’s manual as it contains important information.
GETTING STARTED
BATTERY INSTALLATION
1. Make sure the unit is turned OFF.
2. Locate the battery cover on the back of the
unit. Use a coin to loosen the screw.
3. Install 2 new ‘AA’ (AM-3/LR6) batteries
following the diagram inside the battery box.
4. Replace and tighten the screw to secure the battery cover.
BATTERY NOTICE
The use of new alkaline batteries is recommended for maximum
performance.

Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before
being charged.
Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult
supervision.
Do not mix old and new batteries.
Do not mix batteries of different types: alkaline, standard
(carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium).
Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended
are to be used.
Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity.
Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy.
The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
The toy is not to be connected to more than the recommended
number of power supplies.
Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THE USE OF RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION: TO ENSURE YOUR CHILD’S SAFETY, THIS PRODUCT MUST
BE ASSEMBLED BY AN ADULT.
1. Pull the tab on the right hand side of the page down, toward the back of the unit, to allow a gap between the back and front pages.

2. Pull the plastic sleeve out of the gap and place your image/images into the plastic sleeve, then seal with the supplied warning label (we recommend you don’t remove the warning label).
3. Repeat step 1 and replace the sleeve with your photos in it.
4. To insert an image into the back page of the album, turn the unit over and push down the orange button on the back. This will release the plastic sleeve in the back of the frame, allowing you to place your photo into the sleeve of plastic. Once inserted, replace it into the back page.

1. MODE SELECTOR
To turn the unit ON, slide the Mode Selector to the Message Mode [ ], Learning Mode [ ] or the Music Mode [ ] position. To turn the unit OFF, slide the Mode Selector to the OFF [ ] position.

2. VOLUME CONTROL SWITCH
To adjust the volume, slide the VOLUME CONTROL SWITCH, on the back of the unit, to the LOW VOLUME [ ] or the HIGH VOLUME [ ] position.
3. TWO WAYS TO PLAY
The VTech® Record & Learn Photo AlbumTM can be used as a photo album or a standing frame. To use the album as a frame, fold the handle toward the back of the unit and use this as a stand.
4. SECURING THE PAGES
Pull out the string, located above the Mode Selector, and pull it over the knob on the first page to secure the pages for carrying.
5. AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF
To preserve battery life, the VTech® Record & Learn Photo
Album
TM
will automatically power-down after approximately one minute without input. The unit can be turned on again by pressing any button.
ACTIVITIES
1. Slide the Mode Selector to one of the modes to turn the unit on. You will hear an entertaining sing-along song, amusing phrase and fun melodies. The lights will flash with the sound.

2. Message Mode Message Mode allows you to record a personal message for
each photo. To record a message, turn to the page/photo for which you wish to record a message. Press and hold the Sound Effects Button until you hear a beep (approximately 2 seconds). The Arrow Buttons will begin to blink. Release the Sound Effects Button, and press and hold the Arrow Button that corresponds to your photo. You will hear another beep that signals you to begin recording. Record your message while continuing to hold the Arrow Button.
When you are finished recording your message, release the Arrow Button. There are about seven seconds allowed for each message.
Once your message is recorded, press the corresponding Arrow Button to hear your message, along with a short tune.
Note: If there is no message recorded, you will only hear a short tune when pressing an Arrow Button.

Learning Mode Press the Arrow Buttons to learn the color of each page. Press the Sound Effects Button to be asked to find each page by color.
4. Music Mode Press the Arrow Buttons to hear 28 different melodies. Press the Sound Effects Button to hear sound effects over the music.

Sound Effects Button
Press the Sound Effects Button to hear fun sound effects.
6. If there is no input after approximately 10 seconds, you will hear a fun sound or melodies and a phrase. After another 20 seconds without input, a cheerful sing-along song or melody will be played. If there continues to be no input after another 30 seconds, you will hear “Bye bye” and the unit will power down. The unit can be turned on again by pressing any button.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
1. Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
2. Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct
heat source.
3. Remove the batteries when the unit is not in use for an extended
period of time.
4. Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces and do not expose the unit
to moisture or water.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If for some reason the program/activity stops working or malfunctions, please follow these steps:
1. Please turn the unit OFF.
2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
3. Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
4. Turn the unit ON. The unit should now be ready to play again.
5. If the product still does not work, replace with a new set of
batteries.
