Thank you for purchasing the VTech® Push & Learn Pony™ learning toy!
Load up for learning with the VTech® Push & Learn Pony™! Colorful blocks teach letters, shapes, animals and more, all while strengthening motor skills. Cheerful songs and phrases encourage exploration and discovery. The optional pull cord stores away until baby is ready to pull the pony.

WARNING: All packing materials, such as tape, plastic sheets,
wire ties and tags are not part of this toy, and should be discarded for your child’s safety.
GETTING STARTED
BATTERY INSTALLATION
1. Make sure the unit is turned OFF.
2. Locate the battery cover on the bottom of the unit. Use a coin or a screwdriver to loosen the screw.
3. Install 2 new ‘AA’ (AM-3/LR6) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. (The use of new alkaline batteries is recommended for maximum performance.)
4. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure.
BATTERY NOTICE
Install batteries correctly observing the polarity (+, -) signs to avoid leakage.
Do not mix old and new batteries.

Do not mix batteries of different types: alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium).
Remove the batteries from the equipment when the unit will not be used for an extended period of time.
Always remove exhausted batteries from the equipment.
Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
Do not attempt to recharge ordinary batteries.
The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
Only batteries of the same and equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THE USE OF RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES.
PRODUCT FEATURES
1. MODE SELECTOR SWITCH
To turn the unit ON, slide the Mode
Selector Switch to the Learning
( ) or Music ( ) Mode position. To turn the unit OFF, slide the Mode Selector Switch to the
OFF ( ) position.
2. AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF
To preserve battery life, the VTech® Push & Learn Pony™ will
automatically power-down after approximately 24 seconds without input. The unit can be turned on again by pressing any button. Rolling the unit or taking out the blocks will not turn on the unit.

ACTIVITIES
1. Slide the Mode Selector Switch to Learning or Music Mode. You will hear fun sounds, a song and an encouraging phrase. The lights will flash with the sounds.
2. Press the Mane Button to hear a horse sound and a sung song in Learning Mode. In Music Mode, press the Mane Button to hear fun sounds, phrases and sung songs. The lights will flash with the sounds.
3. Press the Piano Keys to learn numbers and shapes in Learning Mode. In Music Mode, press the Piano Keys to hear notes. When a melody is playing in Music Mode, press the Piano Keys to play the melody one note at a time. The lights will flash with the sounds.
4. Press the Cart Button to hear fun sounds, phrases and sung songs in both modes. This button can only be activated when there are no blocks in the cart. The lights will flash with the sounds.

5. Insert the Blocks to learn letters, shapes, animals and objects in Learning Mode. In Music Mode, insert the blocks to hear related sound effects and short tunes. The lights will flash with the sounds.
6. When there are no other responses playing, push the pony to hear fun sounds and phrases. When a melody is playing in Music Mode, push the pony to speed up the melody. The lights will flash with the sounds.
7. If there is no input after approximately 8 seconds, you will hear fun sound effects and a phrase. If there is still no input about 8 seconds after that, a phrase and a song will play. If there is no input for another 8 seconds, you will hear “Bye-bye,” and the unit will go into sleep mode. The unit can be turned on again by pressing any button. Rolling the unit or taking out the blocks will not turn on the unit.

SUNG SONG 1 LYRICS (To tune of “Yankee Doodle”)
Pull the pony ‘round and ‘round, We’re carrying a full load. Load blocks up and pull them out, Then roll on down the road!
SUNG SONG 2 LYRICS (To tune of “Good Night Ladies”)
Pull the pony. Load all the blocks. Pull the pony. It’s fun to play and learn!
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
1. Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
2. Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat source.
3. Remove the batteries when the unit will not be in use for an extended period of time.
4. Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces and do not expose the unit to moisture or water.

Troubleshooting
TROUBLESHOOTING
If for some reason the program/activity stops working, please follow these steps:
1. Please turn the unit
OFF.
2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
3. Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
4. Turn the unit
ON. The unit should now be ready to play again.
5. If the product still does not work, replace with a new set of batteries.
