Intended Use
The pocket scale is intended to be used for accurately weighing objects up to a total weight of
200 grams. The minimum load is 0.4 grams. A tare and adjustment function are built in.
The scale is only designed for short, direct weighing. Dynamic weighing (e.g. pouring material)
is not feasible and will result in erroneous measurements.
The pocket scale is powered by batteries. Power is supplied via two Lithium coin cells, which
are included in the delivery.
Do not operate the scale where there is a risk of explosions. Do not use the scale for humans
or animals, for medical purposes, or in commercial trade for determining prices.

The maximum weighing range of 200 g must not
be exceeded. Avoid thermal fluctuations during weighing; this may lead to
erroneous measurements.
Inserting/Replacing the Batteries
The pocket scale is powered by batteries. When using for the first time, the plastic strip must be
removed from the battery compartment. Open the cover of the battery compartment and
remove the plastic strip from the battery compartment.
If the symbol „Lo“ appears in the measuring mode, and the scale then turns off, new batteries
need to be inserted.
To insert and replace the batteries, proceed as follows:
Close the flap lid (7) and remove the battery compartment lid on
the rear. Slide the cover sideways, off the device.
Pry the two batteries on the side openings out of the support, using
a sharp tool.
Insert two new Lithium coin cells of the type CR2032 in the compartment, paying attention to the correct polarity. The positive pole of
both coin cells is to point outwards. Slide the coin cells diagonally into
the housing, and press them carefully into the fixture until the plastic
clip locks the battery. Take note of the polarity information in the battery compartment.
Close the battery compartment carefully.
☞
Do not mix old and new batteries. Always replace all the
batteries at the same time, otherwise the batteries discharge each other. Always use
batteries of the same type and brand.
Do not leave flat batteries in the appliance. Even batteries protected against
leaking can corrode and thus release chemicals that could be detrimental to
your health or damage the appliance.
Remove the batteries, if the appliance is not to be used for long while, to prevent leaking.
Leaking or damaged batteries might cause severe burns if the come into contact with the skin. Therefore, use suitable protective gloves.
Do not leave batteries lying around carelessly. They might be swallowed by
children or pets. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
Make sure that the batteries are not short-circuited. Do not throw batteries into
a fire.
Batteries (non-rechargeable) must not be recharged. There is danger of explosion.

Weighing
Preparation
Place the pocket scale on a stable, level surface and open the flap lid.
Press the „ON/OFF“ button (3), to switch on the scale. After a short check and zero-setting
phase (Display „ZEro“), the scale is ready for use. Avoid vibrations and loading of the the weighing plate during this phase. When the check has been completed successfully, a circle appears,
in the lower left corner (-> o <-) indicating stable measuring conditions, as well as the reading
„0.00“ or „0.000“.
If the display „out“ is shown after a short while, the automatic zeroing has failed. Remove any
weights that might be placed on the weighing plate and make sure it is on an even surface. Turn
the device off and then on again.
Press the „ON/OFF“ button to turn off. „OFF“ will appear on the display and the device will
turn off.
When the measuring range is exceeded, „- - - - -“ is shown. In this case, immediately remove the item to be weighed from the pocket scale, as it may be damaged otherwise.
