To reduce the risk of injury or damage to the equipment:
• Use only grounded electrical outlets matching the nameplate rated voltage.
• Have equipment installed by a qualified personnel in accordance with local codes and ordinances.
• Use equipment in a flat, level position.
• Do not use an extension cord with this equipment. Do not plug this equipment into a power strip or multi-outlet power cord.
• Unplug, turn off and let equipment cool before cleaning or moving.
• Do not spray controls or outside of equipment with liquids or cleaning agents.
• Do not clean the equipment with steel wool.
• Keep equipment and power cord away from open flames, electric burners or excessive heat.
• Do not operate unattended.
• Do not operate equipment in public areas and/or around children.
• The equipment may be hot, even though the pilot light is not illuminated.
• Do not operate the equipment if it is damaged or is malfunctioning in any way.

INSTALLATION
WARNING
Fire, Injury, Death Hazard
This equipment must installed by a qualified installer in accordance with all federal, state and local codes. Failure to install this equipment properly can result in injury or death.
Unpack the Equipment
1. Remove all packing material and tape, as well as any protective plastic from the equipment.Save the original packaging. Use this packing to ship the product if repairs are needed.
2. Clean any glue residue left over from the plastic or tape.
Install the Included Legs

Vollrath recommends all commercial cooking equipment be provided with a ventilation system in compliance with NFPA96.
• Cooking equipment that uses or produces grease (e.g. fryer, griddle), must be provided with hoods that are designed to capture grease and provide fire protection.
• Equipment must be installed in accordance with the requirements and approval of the AHJ “Authority Having Jurisdiction.”
The included legs must be installed. Turn the feet to adjust the legs until the equipment is level.

Do not install or use without 4” legs. Use of this equipment without legs can cause the appliance to overheat and cause a fire.

A Temperature Control Dial. Sets or adjusts the temperature of
the heating surface. The numbers on the dial range from 0 to 6. The “0” position is off.
B Pilot Light. Indicates that the oven is heating. Once the set
temperature has been reached the light will go out. The light will cycle on and off as the equipment heats to maintain temperature. This is not a power indicator light.
C Crumb Tray. Collects crumbs and drips from the food product
and can be removed for cleaning.
D Grid/Tray Supports. Supports the food grid and crumb tray. E Back Panel. May be removed to create a pass through. F Food Grid. Supports the food product while grilling or warming. G Adjustable Leg. Supports the equipment. Used to level the

OPERATION
CLEANING
CAUTION

Hot surfaces and food can burn skin. Allow the hot surfaces to cool before handling. Do not drop or spill water onto the cooking surface as it can spray or splatter.
1. Place the food grid into the desired height of the grid/tray support. The food grid must be level and centered in the groove of the grid/ tray support.
2. Grasp and slide the food grid out using tongs, gloves, mitts or pot holders to protect hands.
3. Hold the food grid and evenly load food product onto the food grid.
4. Turn the temperature control to the desired number setting. Follow food manufactures instructions for correct preparation and safe serving guidelines.
5. Brown or melt the food products in desired manner.
6. Grasp and slide the food grid out using tongs, gloves, mitts or pot holders.
7. Use tongs or other specialized utensils to remove the food products.
WARNING
Electrical Shock Hazard
Keep water and other liquids from entering the inside of the equipment. Liquid inside the equipment could cause an electrical shock. Do not spray water or cleaning products. Liquid could contact the electrical components and cause a short circuit or an electrical shock.

To maintain the appearance and increase the service life, clean your equipment daily.
NOTICE: Do not clean the equipment with steel wool. NOTICE: Do not use cleaning products containing aggressive
chemicals, acids, or that contain chlorine.
NOTICE: Do not immerse the cord, plug or equipment in water or
any other liquid.
1. Turn off and unplug the equipment.
2. Allow the equipment to cool completely before cleaning.
3. Use a damp cloth or sponge dipped in soapy water to clean the outside of the equipment.
4. Remove, clean and dry the food grid and crumb tray.
TROUBLESHOOTING
