TRANSFERRING YOUR PHOTOS FROM THE CAMERA TO AN IPAD
STEP 1: INSTALLING THE VIVITAR MOBILE EXPERIENCE APPLICATION TO YOUR
IPAD
1) Enter and sign in to the Apple ® App Store™ from either your iPad or iTunes on
your PC / MAC.
2) Search and locate the Vivitar Mobile Experience application.
3) Select “Install” to install the application to your iPad.
STEP 2: CONNECTING THE YOUR CAMERA TO THE IPAD
1) Make sure the SD card with your captured photo is inserted in your camera.
2) Connect your Vivitar camera to your iPad using the supplied iPad connector
cable.
NOTE: Do not disconnect the cable during transfer. Doing so will cancel the
transfer of any files on their way to your iPad.
3) The camera auto powers on and the ‘USB Mode’ menu appears on the camera
screen.
4) Select iPad from the menu and press the Set button on the Vivitar camera to
connect it.
5) Select Allow from the Vivitar Mobile window that appears on your iPad. The
Vivitar Mobile Experience application automatically launches on your iPad.

STEP 3: TRANSFERRING IMAGES FROM YOUR CAMERA TO THE IPAD
Make sure the SD card with your captured photos is inserted in your camera.
Do not disconnect during transfer. Doing so will cancel the transfer of any files on
their way to your iPad.
Your photos can be easily transferred from your Vivitar camera to your iPad.
1) Connect your camera to the iPad as described in Step 2.
2) The Vivitar Mobile Experience application automatically launches.
NOTE: You can also launch the Vivitar Mobile Experience by touching the
application icon on your iPad.
3) The ‘Camera is connected’ window appears on the iPad. Touch Yes to import
photos.
4) Your captured images from your camera appear on the iPad in thumbnail view.
Select the photos to download by following these steps:
a. Touch the photo(s) you would like to select.
b. A plus sign appears on the selected image.
c. To deselect a photo, touch the selected image again and the plus sign is
removed.
5) Save copies to Photos Camera roll album:
Touch the Save to Camera Roll On or OFF to save copies of the selected pictures
to the Photos Camera Roll album.

6) Erase photos from the Vivitar camera:
Touch Erase photos after download ON or OFF to remove the photos from the
camera.
7) Touch Continue to begin downloading.
NOTE: If you decide not to download the images, touch Cancel.
8) As each photo is being transferred, it appears on the screen.
A status bar shows the transfer progress.
9) When all the images have been transferred touch Continue to go to the Main
Gallery.
10) The imported photos appear in an album with the current date and in the My
photos album.
NOTE: Touch Show gallery if you disconnected the Vivitar camera and you are
prompted to connect your camera again.

View albums with all the photos that you imported from your Vivitar camera.

Upload photos to Facebook, Twitter and Google+.
Effects
Add special effects to your photos.

VIEWING THE TIMELINE:
Touch Timeline in the left pane to open the Timeline mode.
View Photos Sorted by Years:
Select a year and touch it to see albums of photos sorted by months.
View the thumbnails of the selected year in the media view area.
View Photos Sorted by Months:
Select a year then select a month and touch it to view the thumbnails in the media
view area.
Full Screen View:
Touch a thumbnail to see the photo in full screen.
Touch Back to return to the MainGallery.
VIEWING ALBUMS:
Touch Albums in the left pane to open the Albums mode.
Viewing Photos in Albums:
Vivitar Mobile Experience lets you view photos in:
My Photos album- all the photos you ever imported from your Vivitar camera or
photos that you edited in the app and saved.
Imported photos from Vivitar camera- all photos you import from your Vivitar
camera on a specific date get saved in an album with the date.
Regular albums- all photos saved in an album that you created.
View Photos:
Touch Albums in the left pane to open the Albums mode.

Touch one of the albums to view the thumbnails in the media view area.
Touch a thumbnail to see the photo in full screen.
Add New Album:
Touch the Add New Album button.
Name the album and touch Done. The new album appears in the Albums list.
Rename Album:
Touch the Edit button to open the Edit Albums mode.
Touch an album to select it.
Select the Rename option, rename the album and touch Done.
Delete Album:
Touch the Edit button to open the Edit albums mode.
Touch an album.
Select the Delete option.
To confirm that you are sure you want to delete the selected album touch Yes.
Touch Back to exit Albums and return to the Main Gallery.
NOTE: The application only displays photos imported from your Vivitar camera.
VIEWING SLIDESHOWS:
Touch Slideshows in the left pane to open the Slideshow mode.
Create a Slideshow
Touch the Select Photos button to view the photo thumbnails.
Select photos and touch theCreate Slideshow button.
The Slideshow Options window appears:
- Touch Name to enter a slideshow name and then touchOK to save the name.

- Touch Interval to select the intervals in seconds between each photo. The
interval options are between 1 to 60 seconds.
- Touch Transitions to select one of the following transitions: dissolve, wipe or
flip.
- Touch Play Music to turn the music optionOn orOff.
When music option is on, you can touch Music to select a song and touch.
- Touch the Start slideshow button to begin the slideshow.
Play a Slideshow:
Touch Slideshow in the left pane to open the Slideshow mode.
Touch one of the slideshows in the list to select a slideshow.
The slideshow begins playing.
Stop a Slideshow:
Touch the screen while the slideshow is playing.
Touch theCancel button to exit the slideshow and return to the Slideshows mode.
Touch Back to return to the Main Gallery.
SHARING PHOTOS:
Send a Photo in an Email:
Touch the Select Photos button from the MainGallery to view the photo
thumbnails.
Touch a photo thumbnail to select it.
When you have finished selecting your photos, touch Share Photos then select
the Email option.
Enter a recipient and a subject and touch Send.
NOTE: Select Cancel if you decide not to send the email.
When you select to cancel the email you will see two options:
Delete Draft - deletes the mail.
Save Draft - saves a draft in your email app.

Print Photos:
Touch the Select Photos button from the MainGallery to view the photo
thumbnails.
Touch a photo thumbnail to select it.
When you have finished selecting your photos, touch Share Photos then select
the Print option.
Select a printer, configure the printer options and then touch Print.
NOTE: The application prints wirelessly to AirPrint enabled printers. If you are not
sure whether your printer is AirPrint enabled, refer to its documentation.
NOTE: To cancel and exit the Print options, touch the Share Photos button.
Save to Camera Roll:
Touch the Select Photos button from the MainGallery to view the photo
thumbnails.
Touch a photo thumbnail to select it.
When you have finished selecting your photos, touch Share Photos then select
the Save to Camera Roll option.
The copies of the selected pictures are saved to your iPad’s Photos Camera
Roll album.
Send Photos to Social Networks - Facebook, Twitter or Google+:
Touch the Select Photos button from the MainGallery to view the photo
thumbnails.
Touch a photo thumbnail to select it.
When you have finished selecting your photos, touch Share Photos then select
the Social Networks option.
Select one of the social networks by touching ON.
NOTE: The other social networks must be OFF.
Touch Share, then log into the selected social network to upload the photos.

ADDING EFFECTS TO PHOTOS:
While viewing thumbnails in the MainGallery, touch a photo to open it in full screen.
The Effects list appears in the left pane.
Touch on one of the effects and alter the photo.
When you have finished altering your photo, touch the Done button to return to
the Effects list.
Touch the Cancel button to exit without changing the photo.
Touch the Copy button to save a copy of the photo with the effects you made and
return to the Main Gallery. Your new photo with the saved effect appears as a
new thumbnail.
From the Effects mode, the following options are also available: Share Photo:
Touch the Share Photo button to share your selected photo via these options:
Email, Print, Save to Camera Roll, Social Networks
Rename:
Touch the Rename button to enter a new name for your selected photo then
touch Done to save the name.
Delete:
Touch the Delete button to delete the selected photo then touch Yes to confirm.
Effects Options:
Color Controls
Touch Color controls.
Brightness: Move theBrightness slider to the right to lighten the image or move
slider to the left to darken the image.
Contrast: Move the Contrast slider to the left to reduce the contrast in the image
or to the right to increase the contrast.
Saturation: Move the Saturation slider to adjust the saturation or the intensity of
color in a picture. Move slider to the left to reduce the saturation density and to
the right to increase it.

Color Invert
Touch Color invert.
The Color Invert effect inverts colors in an image, giving an image a look similar to a
negative, but without the orange cast that a color film negative has.
Color Monochrome
Touch Color Monochrome.
TheColor Monochrome effect remaps colors so they fall within shades of a single
color.
Specify the color: Touch theInput Color.
Select a color then touchDone.
Intensity: Move the Intensity sliderto the right to increase the color tones. Move
slider to the left to reduce the tones.
Exposure
Touch Exposure.
The Exposure effect adjusts the exposure setting for an image by mimicking a
camera’s F-stop adjustment.
Exposure value: Move the Exposure value slider to the right to brighten the photo
by F-stops (exposure values). Move the slider to the left to darken the photo by Fstops (exposure values).
Gamma Adjust
Touch Gamma Adjust.
The Gamma Adjust effect changes midtone brightness. The gamma value of a
computer monitor affects how light or dark an image looks in a web browser.
Adjusting the gamma effectively changes the slope of the transition between black
and white.
Power: Move the Power slider to the right to darken the photo. Move the slider to
the left to lighten the photo.

Highlights and Shadows
Touch Highlights and Shadows.
The Highlight and Shadows effect brightens shadowed subjects in an image and
reduces the highlights in an image.
Highlight: Move the Highlight slider to the right to reduce the highlights and to the
left to increase the highlights.
Shadows: Move the Shadows slider to the right to lighten shadowed subjects in an
image and to the right to darken them.
Hue Adjust
Touch Hue Adjust.
The Hue Adjust effect changes the overall hue, or tint, of the source pixels. Angle: Move the Angle slider right or left to shift all image colors (in the color
spectrum).
Sepia Tone
Touch Sepia Tone.
The Sepia Tone effect maps the colors of an image to various shades of brown. Intensity: Move the Intensity slider to the right to increase the reddish brown
monochrome tint (sepia tone). Move the slider to the left to decrease the sepia
tone effect.
Rotate
Touch Rotate.
The Rotate effect rotates and straightens a crooked photo. Angle: Move the Angle slider to the right to rotate the photo to the right. Move
the slider to the left to rotate the picture to the left.
Vibrance
Touch Vibrance.
The Vibrance effect adjusts saturation and makes the photo more vibrant. Amount: Move the Amount slider to the right to make the photo more vibrant.
Move the slider to the left to reduce the vibrance.

Vignette
Touch Vignette.
The Vignette effect is a decorated border that softly fades at the edges of a picture so
that the viewer’s attention is drawn to the center of the image.
Intensity: Move the slider to the right to increase the intensity of the vignette.
Move the slider to the left to reduce the intensity of the vignette.
Radius: Move the Radius slider to the right to darken the vignette. Move the slider
to the left to brighten the vignette.
White Point Adjust
Touch WhitePoint Adjust.
The WhitePoint Adjust effect adjusts the reference white point for an image and
maps all colors in the source using the new reference.
Input Color: Touch InputColor and select the color value that should be used as
the white point reference to change the photo.
Black and White
Touch Black and White to convert your color photo to a black and white image.
Film Scratch
Touch Film Scratch to add a film scratch effect to your photo.
Pop Art
Touch Pop Art to add a pop art effect to your photo.
Old Photo
Touch Old Photo to transform your photo into a vintage picture.
Sepia Intensity: Move the Sepia Intensity slider to the right to increase the
sepia intensity. Move the slider to the left to reduce the sepia intensity.

ORGANIZING PHOTOS:
View Photo: While viewing thumbnails, tap a photo to open it in full screen.
Copy Photo: While viewing thumbnails, touch the Select Photos button.
Touch a photo(s) to select.
Touch the Copy button then touch on an album in the Copy toAlbum list.
DeletePhoto: While viewing thumbnails, touch the Delete button and confirm
deletion by selecting Yes.

INITIAL CAMERA SETUP
INSTALLING THE BATTERIES
Make sure the batteries have been inserted properly into your digital camera,
according to the polarity shown inside the battery compartment.
See illustration above.
Use 3x AAA (1.5v) batteries. Alkaline batteries are recommended.
Batteries not included.
NOTE:
Remove the batteries from the camera when not in use for an extended period.
Do not mix alkaline and non-alkaline batteries.
Rechargeable batteries not recommended.
Some features, such as Flash, will not work if the battery power level is low.
When the battery power is low the battery icon turns red and the camera will
automatically turn off a few seconds later.
The energy status of the power is displayed on LCD as shown below:

INSTALLING THE MICRO SD MEMORY CARD
An SD Memory card (up to 32GB) is needed for normal use.
Important: After installing, your must format the SD Memory Card before first use by
selecting the “Format Memory Card” camera menu option.
Make sure an SD card has been properly inserted into your camera.
SD Memory card not included.
To properly insert the SD Card:
Push the SD card into the slot in the direction shown on the camera (see SD icon by
the SD card slot). Push the SD card until you hear a slight clicking sound. This indicates
the SD card has been inserted correctly.

NOTE:
After the camera is powered on, an SD icon will appear on the LCD display. If
you do not see the SD icon on the display, please check if the card was
inserted properly.
Make sure the SD card is not locked (check the lock switch on the side of the SD
card). If the SD card is locked this will prevent the camera from saving captured
photos to the SD card.
TURNING ON THE CAMERA
Press the Power button to turn on the camera.

USING THE CAMERA
When powering the camera ON for the first time the camera will take you through
the INITIAL CAMERA SETUP.
Setting the Camera Language
1) You will first be prompted to select a language for the camera. The Language
selection menu will appear. Select the language of your choice by pressing the
UP and DOWN direction control buttons. Then press the SET button to confirm
the selection.
2) After selecting a language, you will be asked if you would like to continue with
the initial camera setup. A message will appear: “Continue with Camera Setup?”
Select “Yes” to continue or “No” to exit the setup.
NOTE:If you select “No” and decide to leave the camera setup, the camera will be set
to its default settings. These settings can be adjusted at any time manually through
the menus in the camera.

Setting the Date and Time
The next step in the initial camera setup is to set the date and time on the camera.
Set the Date and Time as desired by pressing the RIGHT and LEFT direction control
buttons to choose the specific setting and the UP and DOWN buttons to change each
setting.
Once you have completed setting the time and date, press the SET button to confirm
the selection and move to the next part of the camera setup.
Setting the ViviLink Default Option
Once the Date and Time have been set, you will be asked to set the default ViviLink
destination for photos and videos taken with your camera.
The ViviLink technology allows you to quickly and easily upload your camera’s photos
and videos to the social networks of your choice with the accompanying software
application.
1) First you will be asked to choose the default ViviLink social network for Photos.
Highlight the desired default social network and press the SET button to confirm
the selection.
2) Next you will be asked to choose the default ViviLink social network for Videos.
Highlight the desired default social network and press the SET button to confirm
the selection.
3) After the ViviLink Video option is confirmed the camera is now ready to use.
