This intercom system requires no wires, so there is no need for a link between this connected stations. All you need is a normal
plug socket (220
V/50
Hz) in each room where an intercom is to be installed.
Connection:
1.2.First connect the WI 2202 or WI 2602 intercom to the light circuit by inserting the Euro-plug into the plug socket Switch on the WI 2202 or WI 2602 using the ON/OFF-knob.
3.
Set both intercoms to the same channel using the channel switch.

Normal’operation: Alternate communication in both directions is possible.
Parallel operation: If the two intercoms each are set to channel A or B respectively two speaking connections are possible - but not simultaneously. If channel B is in use, channel A can hear nothing and vice versa,
One station serves as the
)>master(c,
while the other three are
set
to
different channels. In this way each sub-station can be called
seperately.
Selektive operation II (WI 2602 only): One station serves as the
)>master(c,
while the other three are set to different channels, In this way each sub-station can be called
seperately.
Continuous operation (supervision): One station is set permanently to
)&ansmitc(.
This means that a continous check can be called seperately.
Synchronous supervision: Intercom system with automatic switching allow the simultaneous supervision of several rooms, e.g. two children’s rooms. Any station switching automatically to transmission blocks the others.
Automatic two-way communication (WI 2602 only): Press the button marked
)>Autocc.
You can now speak consecutively without having to touch any more buttons. Please note that
the station requires approx.
l/2
a second to switch from
ntransmit(c
to
)lreceive<c
when changing direction.
Please note that unfavourable conditions can influence the quality of reception in the power supply. If this is the case, 2 or
3-
channel systems have the avantage that the reception can be optimised by switching to another frequency (channel).

Phase-coupler Should there be no connectiopn between the receiver and the transmitter, check both sets within the same room, i.e. on the same power circuit. If a connection is made you must assume that the different power circuits. In this case consult an electrician and have a
VIVANCO
PK 1 phase-coupler installed. This phase coupler ensures that the two power circuits are connected
to one another, allowing for connection via several phases.

Speak button:
By pressing the speak button contact can be made with the receiving statiofl. Important: You can only speak in one direction at once. When the speak button is pressed reception is not possible. Free-hand speaking is possible only using the automatic function (WI 2602 only).
Call bunon:
The call button sets off an electronic sound in the receiving station as long at it is pressed. It is not possible to speak while the call button is being pressed.

Information about
wireless intercoms
Possible interference causes
and how to solve them:
Short Function Test
Plug transmitter and receiver in a multiple-socket (as per drawing) Switch on both sets. In case both operate perfectly now, the mains may be the cause of the interference. In this case please address to your next after-sales service or electrical specialist for installation of interference suppresstons.
Do not return your intercoms to the manufacturers before not being sure whether the intercoms produce the interfering noises or the frequencies in the mains.
Interference: More or less heavy rustle or crackle noise influence the
quality of reception.
Cause:
One
connecte.d
electric equipment supplies the interfering
noise.
Remedy:
Unplug all electric equipments. Connect same again, one by one, till you get the interfering noise again. Now you discovered the “producer”. An adapter (for domestic appliances or TV) will solve this problem. Consider, however, a slight constant background noise during the transmission is normal as no mains works completely noiseless.
Interference: You hear heavy noise although all equipments are
unplugged despite the intercoms (eventually reception of
other Intercoms).
Cause:
Interferences from outside enter in your domestic electric
circuit.
Remedy:
A specialist has to install a carrier-frequency filter or has to
alter the phases. In case you operate with multi-way-sets first try to select another channel (frequency). This might be already sufficient.
I
Interference:
No communication at all between the various intercoms
Cause:
Both sets operate on different phases
Remedy:
A specialist must install a phase coupler (VIVANCO PK 1) to
bridge the different electric circuits.
