POWER SOURCES (1) AC OPERATION

Plug one end of the AC adapter into the DC input jack (11), then plug the other end into AC wall outlet.

PRECAUTIONS ON USING THE AC ADAPTER

1. Do not touch the AC adapter with wet hands. Doing so is dangerous, as this could

result in an electrical shock.

2. If the AC adapter is connected when the batteries are installed, the power supply

automatically switches to the AC power and the batteries are disconnected.

ALKALINE BATTERY INSTALLATION (NOT SUPPLIED)

Insert two AA batteries (not supplied) into the battery compartment on the bottom of the unit. Be sure to observe the proper polarity (the “+” and “” signs) as indicat ed inside the battery compartment.

NOTE ON ALKALINE BATTERIES

1. When replacing the alkaline batteries, use two new batteries of the same type. Do

not mix a used battery with a new one or mix different types of batteries.

2. When inserting the batteries, mistakenly inserting even one with improper polar

ity will cause leakage.

3. Never charge, heat, disassemble, or throw batteries into a fire.

REMEMBER

1. If the symbol flashes in the display, your batteries are weak, replace them or use the AC adapter.

Фирма VITEK выражает благодарность за Ваш выбор и гарантирует высокое качество и безупречное функционирование приобретенного Вами изделия при соблюдении правил его эксплуатации.

Срок гарантии на все изделия - 12 месяцев со дня покупки. Данным гарантийным талоном VITEK подтверждает исправность данного изделия и берет на себя обязательство по бесплатному устранению всех неисправностей, возникших по вине производителя.

Гарантийный ремонт может быть произведен в авторизированном сервис-центре на территории России.

Условия гарантии:

1. Настоящая гарантия имеет силу при соблюдении следующих условий:

- правильное и четкое заполнение гарантийного талона с указанием

наименования модели, ее серийного номера, даты продажи и печати

фирмы-продавца в гарантийном талоне и отрывных купонах;

- наличие оригинала квитанции (чека), содержащего дату покупки.

2. VITEK оставляет за собой право на отказ в гарантийном обслуживании

в случае непредоставления вышеуказанных документов, или если

информация в них будет неполной, неразборчивой, противоречивой.

3. Гарантия не включает в себя периодическое обслуживание, установку,

настройку изделия на дому у владельца.

4. Не подлежат гарантийному ремонту изделия с дефектами, возникшими

вследствие:

- механических повреждений;

- несоблюдения условий эксплуатации или ошибочных действий

владельца;

- неправильной установки, транспортировки;

- стихийных бедствий (молния, пожар, наводнение и т. п.), а также других

причин, находящихся вне контроля продавца и изготовителя;

- попадания внутрь изделия посторонних предметов, жидкостей,

насекомых;

- ремонта или внесения конструктивных изменений неуполномоченными

лицами;

- использования аппаратуры в профессиональных целях;

- отклонений от Государственных Технических Стандартов питающих,

телекоммуникационных и кабельных сетей;

- при выходе из строя деталей, обладающих ограниченным сроком

службы.

5. Настоящая гарантия не ущемляет законных прав потребителя,

предоставленных ему действующим законодательством.

2. If the display is blank  no number show when Play/Pause button (10) is pressed,

the batteries are dead. Replayce them, or use AC adapter, (Also, check if you inserted the batteries according to the + and  as shown on set).

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Spent or discharged batteries must be recycled or disposed of properly in compl ance with all applicable laws. For detailed information, contact your local country solid waste authority.

POWER SOURCES (2) CHARGING AND USE OF RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES

This unit can fully recharge the specified rechargeable batteries, in approximately 15 hours. The rechargeable batteries (NOT supplied) should be recharged before they are used for the first time because they are low in power or they have not been used for a long period (over 60 days).

1. Open the battery compartment cover and insert two of the recommended

rechargeable batteries (1,2 V 650 mA), matching polarity. ALL BATTERIES MUST BE OF RECHARGEABLE MICKELCADMIUM TYPE. OTHER WISE THE BATTERIES MAY EXPLODE OR LEAK. DURING CHARGING, THE CHARGE INDICATOR (15) KEEPS ON.

2. Plug in the AC adaptor and set the Charge switch (22) to the ON position to start

charging.

USE ONLY THE AC ADAPTOR SUPPLIED WITH THE SET FOR CHARGING.

3. After 15 hours, please unplug the AC adaptor and the Charge switch (22) must

be set to the OFF position. DO NOT CHARGE CONTINUOUSLY FOR 24 HOURS OR MORE. DOING SO CAN CAUSE THE PERFOMANCE OF THE RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES TO DETERIO RATE. NOTE: you may play DISC whilst charging the batteries.

4. If the operating time decreases drastically even when the rechargeable nickei

cadmium batteries are properly recharged, purchase a new set of rechargeable

nicelcadmium batteries.

5. When charging for the first time or after a long time, playing time may be reduced.
