SAFETY MEASURES

Before using the unit, read this manual carefully and keep it for future reference.

Use the unit for intended purposes only, as specified in this manual.

Mishandling the unit may cause its failure and inflict damage on the user or his/her property.

•• Before using the unit for the first time, make sure that the voltage in your mains corresponds to unit operating voltage.

•• The power cord is equipped with a Europlug; insert it into a socket that has a reliable grounding connection.

•• To avoid fire, do not use adapters for connecting the unit to the mains

•• Do not use the unit outdoors or in bathrooms.

•• Place the unit vertically on an even, dry, mois- ture-resistant surface, do not place it horizontally and do not turn it over.

•• Do not use the garment steamer near heat sources or open fire.

•• Before using the unit, examine the power cord closely and make sure that it is not damaged. If you find any damages of the power cord, do not use the garment steamer.

•• Make sure that the power cord does not contact with hot surfaces and sharp furniture edges. Avoid damaging the isolation of the power cord.

•• Use only the attachments supplied.

•• Before using the unit, make sure that the attachment has been set properly.

•• Do not switch the unit on if the water tank is empty. Switch the unit off once the water tank runs out of water.

•• During operation, hold the garment steamer vertically and do not turn it over.

•• Use only clean water to fill the tank. We recommend using water additionally purified with a domestic filter. Do not use sparkling water or any scent additives.

•• Keep the water level in the garment steamer over the minimal mark «MIN» and under the maximal mark «MAX» at all times. If the water level exceeds the maximal mark, hot water may splash out of the garment steamer. Always unplug the garment steamer from the mains before cleaning, installing/removing the attachments, filling the water tank or emptying it. Unplug the unit if you do not use it.

•• Do not cover the steam release openings and do not insert any objects in them.

•• To avoid burns, hold the garment steamer with your hand near the steam delivery button, since the upper part of the garment steamer body becomes very hot during operation.

•• During garment steamer operation, avoid getting burnt by hot steam that goes out from the steam release openings.

•• Use the unit only as intended. Never steam clothes on a person, since the steam is very hot. Always use a hanger.

•• Never direct the steamer onto people, animals and plants as well as onto furniture, electric appliances, books and any other objects that can be damaged by hot steam. Garment steamer should be at least 20 cm away from any such objects.

•• Do not immerse the unit, the power plug or the power cord into water or other liquids.

•• Do not touch the unit body and the power plug with wet hands.

•• Never leave the unit connected to the mains unattended.

•• Clean the garment steamer regularly.

•• Do not let children play with the unit and do not allow them to touch the unit body and the power cord during the steamer operation.

•• This unit is not intended for usage by children under 8.

•• Children whose age is 8 or over, as well as disabled persons, may use this unit only when supervised by a person who ensures their

safety and only upon receiving and understanding all necessary instructions concerning safe usage of the unit and concerning dangers that may arise from an improper usage.

•• For children’s safety, do not leave plastic packaging unattended.

Attention! Do not let children play with polyethylene bags or packaging film. Danger of suffocation!

•• Install and remove the attachments only after the unit has cooled down completely.

•• Before cleaning the garment steamer, pull the power plug out of the mains socket and let the unit cool down.

•• Never pull the power cord when disconnecting the unit from the mains. Hold the power plug and carefully remove it from the mains socket.

•• Do not attempt to repair the unit. Do not disassemble the unit. Should any failure occur or should the unit be dropped, unplug the unit and contact an authorized service center out of the list of contact data included in your warranty certificate and posted on the website www.vitek.ru.

•• Transport the unit in the original package only.

•• Before putting the garment steamer away for storage, remove any remaining water from the water tank.

•• Keep the unit out of reach of children and disabled persons.

THIS UNIT IS INTENDED FOR HOUSEHOLD USAGE ONLY

Application

The garment steamer can be used on all types of fabrics for smoothing folds on clothes and for creasing trousers and shirts. If you are unsure about steaming a certain type of fabric or clothes, please follow the recommendations on the product label.

If no such information is available, try to steam the fabric on the reverse side.

When steaming such fabrics as silk or corduroy, keep the garment steamer at some distance from the fabric.

Use the nozzle brush (5) to remove lint or threads from the fabric and use the attachment (6) to make creases on shirts and trousers.

Before the first use

After unit transportation or storage at low temperature keep it for at least three hours at room temperature before switching on.

–Unpack the unit, remove any stickers that may disturb operation.

–Make sure that the unit operating voltage corresponds to the voltage of your mains.

–Wipe the garment steamer body with a slightly damp cloth and then wipe it dry.

–Press the buttons (3) and remove the water tank (4).

–Open the water inlet (10) by pulling the plug flag (9). Fill the water tank (4) with water. Do not let water go over the MAX mark. Close the water inlet (10) tightly. Wipe water drops on the unit body with a dry cloth.

–Reinstall the water tank (4).

–Insert the power cord plug into the socket,

press the on button (8). The pilot lamp (7) will be flashing. Wait until the pilot lamp (7) lights continuously.

–Take the garment steamer with your hand and hold it near the steam delivery button (2).

–Press the steam delivery button (1) to begin steam delivery.

Note: You may lock the steam delivery button (2) in pressed position for easy operation. To do this, press the steam delivery button (2) and move the lock to the lower position. To unlock the steam delivery button (2), move the lock to the upper position.

–To clean the steam compartment, direct the steam flow onto a kitchen towel, for instance.

–After the unit operation, unplug the garment steamer and let it cool down.

Note: When the garment steamer is switched on for the first time, the heating element burns and may issue smell and a small amount of smoke. This is normal.

Water selection

Use tap water to fill the water tank (4). If tap water is hard, we recommend mixing it with distilled water in proportion 1:1. If tap water is too hard, mix it with distilled water in proportion 1:2 or use distilled water only.

Steamer operation

–Set the nozzle brush (5) or the crease attachment (6) on the garment steamer (fig. 1).

Note: If you use the steamer without attachments, the distance between the steamer and the steamed item should be at least 5 cm.

Attention!

–Do not plug the garment steamer in if the water tank (4) is empty.

–Unplug the unit and wait until it cools down before installing or removing the nozzle brush (5).

–Press the buttons (3) and remove the water tank (4).

–Open the water inlet (10) by pulling the plug flag (9). Fill the water tank (4) with water. Do not let water go over the MAX mark. Close the water inlet (10) tightly.

–Reinstall the water tank (4).

Attention!

–Before removing the water tank (4) make sure that the unit is unplugged.

–Make sure that water drops do not get onto the garment steamer body, onto the power cord or the power plug.

–Do not let water go over the «max» mark when filling the water tank (4).

–Do not fill the water tank (4) with sparkling water, scent additives, vinegar, chemical agents etc.

–If you need to refill water during operation, switch the garment steamer off by unplugging it.

–Hang the clothes on a hanger.

Note:

–Never steam clothes on a person, since the steam is very hot. Use a hanger at all times.

–For a stable steam delivery, keep the water level above the minimal mark.

–Do not direct steam flow onto metal elements. Be careful when steaming clothes with metal elements.

–Insert the power plug into the mains socket,

press the on button (8). The pilot lamp (7)

will start flashing. Wait until the pilot lamp (7) lights continuously.

–Take the garment steamer with your hand and hold it near the steam delivery button (2).

–To begin steam delivery, press the button (2).

–Slowly move the garment steamer along the fabric in upward direction. Smooth out the fabric with your other hand.

–To stop steam delivery, release the button (2).

Notes:

–Hold the garment steamer vertically and do not turn it over.

–During the steamer operation, the upper part of the unit body Becomes very hot. Be careful and do not touch the hot parts of the unit body!

–After steaming, the clothes should cool down and dry up. This may take some time.

–After the unit operation, unplug the garment steamer and let it cool down.

–To remove the attachments (5), pull the lock (fig. 2).

–Press the buttons (3) and remove the water tank (4).

–Open the water inlet (10) by pulling the plug flag (9). Drain the remaining water from the water tank (4) и close the water inlet (10) tightly.

–Reinstall the water tank (4).

Dry switch protection

–If you accidentally switch the garment steamer on when the water tank is empty or the water level is below the minimal mark, the automatic thermal switch will turn the garment steamer off. If that happens, let the garment steamer cool down for 15 minutes, then fill the water tank with water and switch the unit on. It will operate normally.

Automatic switch-off function

–If you do not press the steam delivery button for more than 8 minutes, the unit will be auto-

matically switched off and the pilot lamp (7) will start flashing. To resume the operation, press the steam delivery button (2) once, wait

until the pilot lamp (7) lights continuously again. Now the unit may be used normally.

CLEANING AND CARE

–Pull the power plug out of the mains socket and let the garment steamer cool down completely.

–Press the buttons (3) and remove the water tank (4).

–Open the water inlet (10) by pulling the plug flag (9). Drain the remaining water from the water tank (4) and close the water inlet (10) tightly.

–Reinstall the water tank (4).

–Wipe the garment steamer body and the surface with the steam release openings (1) with a slightly damp cloth, and then wipe dry.

–Scaling on the surface that contains steam release openings (1) may be removed with a cloth soaked in vinegar-water solution.

–Remove the attachments from the steamer (fig. 2) and wash them in running water.

–Do not use solvents or abrasives for cleaning the garment steamer.

Attention! Do not immerse the garment steamer, the power cord or the power plug of the unit into water or other liquids.

STORAGE

–Unplug the unit and wait until it cools down completely.

–Clean the unit

–Keep the unit away from children in a dry cool place.

SICHERHEITSMAßNAHMEN

Vor der ersten Inbetriebnahme des Elektrogeräts lesen Sie diese Bedienungsanleitung aufmerksam durch und bewahren Sie diese für weitere Referenz auf.

Benutzen Sie das Gerät nur bestimmungsmäßig und laut dieser Bedienungsanleitung.

Nicht ordnungsgemäße Gerätenutzung kann zu seiner Störung führen, einen gesundheitlichen oder materiellen Schaden beim Nutzer hervorrufen.

•• Vor dem ersten Einschalten des Geräts vergewissern Sie sich, dass die Netzspannung und die Betriebsspannung des Geräts übereinstimmen.

•• Das Netzkabel ist mit einem «Eurostecker“ ausgestattet; stecken Sie diesen in eine Steckdose mit sicherer Erdung ein.

•• Verwenden Sie keine Adapterstecker beim Anschließen des Geräts an die elektrische Steckdose, um das Brandrisiko zu vermeiden.

•• Es ist nicht gestattet, das Gerät draußen oder im Badezimmer zu benutzen.

•• Stellen Sie das Gerät senkrecht auf einer ebenen, trockenen und feuchtigkeitsfesten Oberfläche auf, legen Sie es horizontal nicht und kippen Sie es nicht um.

•• Benutzen Sie die Kleiderdampfbürste in direkter Nähe von Wärmequellen oder offenem Feuer nicht.

•• Vor der Gerätenutzung prüfen Sie das Netzkabel aufmerksam und vergewissern Sie sich, dass es nicht beschädigt ist. Bei der Feststellung von Beschädigung des Netzkabels benutzen Sie die Kleiderdampfbürste nicht.

•• Vermeiden Sie die Berührung des Netzkabels mit heißen Oberflächen und scharfen Möbelkanten. Vermeiden Sie die Beschädigung der Netzkabelisolierung.

•• Benutzen Sie nur die mitgelieferten Aufsätze.

•• Vergewissern Sie sich vor der Inbetriebnahme des Geräts, dass der Aufsatz richtig aufgestellt ist.

•• Schalten Sie das Gerät ohne Wasser nicht ein!

	Sobald der Behälter leer ist, schalten Sie das
	Gerät sofort aus.
••	Halten Sie die Kleiderdampfbürste während
	des Betriebs senkrecht und kippen Sie sie
	nicht um.
••	Gießen Sie nur sauberes Wasser in den
	Behälter ein, es ist empfohlen, das mit
	Haushaltsfiltern zusätzlich gereinigte Wasser
	zu benutzen. Benutzen Sie Gaswasser und
	Parfumzusätze nicht.
••	Achten Sie darauf, dass der Wasserstand
	in	der Kleiderdampfbürste		nicht		unter
	der «MIN»-Wasserstandsmarke und nicht
	über der «MAX»-Wasserstandsmarke liegt.
	Falls der Wasserstand über der maxima-
	len Marke ist, kann sich Heißwasser aus der
	Kleiderdampfbürste		ausgießen.		Trennen
	Sie die Kleiderdampfbürste vom Stromnetz
	immer ab, bevor Sie die Gerätereinigung vor-
	nehmen, den Aufsatz abnehmen/aufstellen,
	den Behälter mit Wasser einfüllen oder ihn
	leeren, und auch wenn Sie das Gerät nicht
	benutzen.
••	Sperren Sie die Dampfablasslöcher nicht
	ab und stecken Sie darin keine fremden
	Gegenstände.
••	Um	Verbrennungen	zu vermeiden,			hal-
	ten Sie die Kleiderdampfbürste in der Hand
	im Bereich der Taste der Dampfzufuhr,
	weil sich der obere Teil des Gehäuses der
	Kleiderdampfbürste		während	des	Betriebs
	stark erhitzt.

•• Während des Betriebs der Kleiderdampfbürste hüten Sie sich vor Verbrühungen durch den aus den Dampfablasslöchern austretenden heißen Dampf.

•• Benutzen Sie das Gerät nur bestimmungsgemäß. Es ist nicht gestattet, die an einem

Menschen angezogene Kleidung abzudämpfen, weil die Temperatur des austretenden Dampfs sehr hoch ist. Hängen Sie die Kleidung nur an einen Kleiderbügel.

•• Es ist nicht gestattet, die Kleiderdampfbürste auf Menschen, Tiere, Pflanzen, sowie auf Möbel, Elektrogeräte, Bücher und jegliche Gegenstände, die durch den heißen Dampf beschädigt werden können, zu richten. Der Abstand zwischen der Kleiderdampfbürste und solchen Gegenständen soll nicht weniger als 20 cm betragen.

•• Tauchen Sie das Gerätegehäuse, das Netzkabel oder den Netzstecker ins Wasser oder jegliche andere Flüssigkeiten nicht ein.

•• Berühren Sie das Gerätegehäuse und den Netzstecker mit nassen Händen nicht.

•• Lassen Sie das ans Stromnetz angeschlossene Gerät nie unbeaufsichtigt.

•• Reinigen Sie das Gerät regelmäßig.

•• Es ist nicht gestattet, Kindern das Gerät als Spielzeug zu geben, lassen Sie Kinder das Gerätegehäuse und das Netzkabel während des Betriebs der Kleiderdampfbürste nicht berühren.

•• Dieses Gerät ist nicht für den Gebrauch von Kindern unter 8 Jahren geeignet.

•• Dieses Gerät darf von Kindern ab 8 Jahren und behinderten Personen nur dann genutzt werden, wenn sie sich unter Aufsicht der für ihre Sicherheit verantwortlichen Person befinden, und wenn ihnen entsprechende und verständliche Anweisungen über sichere Nutzung des Geräts und die Gefahren bei seiner falschen Nutzung gegeben wurden.

•• Aus Kindersicherheitsgründen lassen Sie die Plastiktüten, die als Verpackung verwendet werden, nie ohne Aufsicht.

Achtung! Lassen Sie Kinder mit Plastiktüten oder Verpackungsfolien nicht spielen. Erstickungsgefahr!

•• Sie dürfen die Aufsätze erst nach der vollständigen Abkühlung des Geräts aufstellen und abnehmen.

•• Bevor die Kleiderdampfbürste zu reinigen, ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose heraus und warten Sie ab, bis das Gerät abkühlt.

•• Es ist nicht gestattet, das Gerät beim Abtrennen vom Stromnetz am Netzkabel zu ziehen, halten Sie den Netzstecker und zie-

hen Sie diesen aus der Steckdose vorsichtig heraus.

•• Es ist nicht gestattet, das Gerät selbständig zu reparieren. Es ist nicht gestattet, die Kleiderdampfbürste selbständig auseinanderzunehmen, bei der Feststellung von Beschädigung oder im Sturzfall trennen Sie das Gerät vom Stromnetz ab und wenden Sie sich an einen nächstliegenden autorisierten (bevollmächtigten) Kundendienst unter Kontaktadressen im Garantieschein oder auf der Website www.vitek.ru.

•• Transportieren Sie das Gerät nur in der Fabrikverpackung.

•• Bevor Sie die Kleiderdampfbürste zur Aufbewahrung wegnehmen, gießen Sie Wasser aus dem Wasserbehälter ab.

•• Bewahren Sie das Gerät an einem für Kinder und behinderte Personen unzugänglichen Ort auf.

DAS GERÄT IST NUR FÜR DEN GEBRAUCH IM HAUSHALT GEEIGNET

Gerätebestimmung

Die Kleiderdampfbürste kann für jeden beliebigen Stofftyp zum Glatten der Falten auf Kleidung und Bügeln der Bügelfalten auf Hemden und Hosen genutzt werden. Falls Sie Zweifel haben, ob man die Kleiderdampfbürste zum Dämpfen des bestimmtem Stoffoder Kleidungstyps verwenden kann, befolgen Sie die Anweisungen auf dem Erzeugnisetikett.

Wenn solche Informationen fehlen, versuchen Sie den Stoff von der Innenseite abzudämpfen. Beim Dämpfen solcher Stoffe wie Seide oder Kordstoff halten Sie die Kleiderdampfbürste auf einem gewissen Abstand vom Erzeugnis. Benutzen Sie die Aufsatzbürste (5) zur Entfernung von Fasern und Fäden vom Stoff und den Aufsatz (6) zum Bügeln der Bügelfalten auf Hemden und Hosen.

Vor der ersten Inbetriebnahme

Falls das Gerät unter niedrigen Temperaturen transportiert oder aufbewahrt wurde, lassen Sie es bei der Raumtemperatur nicht weniger als drei Stunden bleiben.

–Packen Sie das Gerät aus und entfernen Sie alle Aufkleber, die den Gerätebetrieb stören.

–Vergewissern Sie sich, dass die Betriebsspannung des Geräts und die Netzspannung übereinstimmen.
