Required for the Panasonic “576” DBS System

1. Cut one end of resistor “R4” as shown in the diagram above and stand it up.

2. Replace resistor “R10”, as shown in the diagram above, with a 2K ohm resistor (included - Radio Shack equivalent #

271-1325).

3. Replace resistor “R15”, as shown in the diagram above, with a 220K ohm resistor (included - Radio Shack equivalent #
271-1350).

4. Remove existing “Z3” chip, as shown in the diagram

above, and carefully replace with the included “E16V-

P576” software chip.

5. Install the PS-2R to boost the DC Loop current on the

Panasonic’s analog extension as shown to the right.

The “576 DBS MOD“ kit is available to modify E-30 Phones and 1600A Series Emergency Phones to
be compatible with the Panasonic 576 DBS system. The “576 DBS MOD“ kit is available from Viking
Electronics for $50.00. Alternatively, Viking’s Technical Support will modify the unit for $75.00. For
