Subject/Symptom: Service notification for firmware update for (1) resolve issues with units with CMO or CPT panels and

Purpose:

Background:

Service notification for firmware update for (1) resolve issues with units with CMO or CPT panels and (2)

alternative power supply board and part for service use.

(1) Firmware update for those units utilizing the CPT LCD panel will change from firmware version VP07 to VP08.

Compatibility issue with ATI9800 video card found where response time takes over 3 seconds when the monitor is
shut off and turned on again. The windows pattern becomes white so the power on sequence will be modified to
correct this issue.

(2) Firmware update for those units utilizing the CMP LCD panel will change from firmware version VP03 to VP04.

Compatibility issue with ATI9800 video card found

(a) That the video will blank out intermittently,
(b) The mode 1024x768 @75Hz with PC will incorrectly display 1280x768 @75Hz,
(c) To fix the problem whereby unit still shows color after RGB all have been minimized.
