Important Safety Instructions

5. Do not use this unit near water.
6. Clean only with dry cloth.
7. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instruc-
tions.
8. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other devices (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
9. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
10. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs. Convenience receptacles and the point where they exit from the unit. Be sure that the power outlet is located near the unit so that it is easily accessible.
11. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
12. Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with
the unit. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/unit combination to avoid injury from tip-over

Congratulations on your purchase of a ViewSonic® LCD display.
Important! Save the original box and all packing material for future shipping needs.
NOTE: The word “Windows” refers to Microsoft Windows 95, 98, NT, XP, 2000 and Me (Millennium).

Your LCD display package includes:

NOTE:
The CD jacket contains the Quick Start Guide, and the CD includes User Guide PDF files and INF/ICM display optimization files. The INF files ensures compatibility with Windows operating systems, and the ICM file (Image Color Matching) ensures accurate on-screen colors. ViewSonic recommends that you install both files.
Precautions
• Sit at least 18" from your LCD display display.
Avoid touching the screen.

Never remove the rear cover.

• Avoid exposing your LCD display to direct sunlight or another heat source. Orient your LCD display away from direct sunlight to reduce glare.
• Always handle your LCD display with care when moving it.

• Place your LCD display in a well-ventilated area. Do not place anything on your LCD display that prevents heat dissipation.
• Ensure the area around the LCD display is clean and free of moisture.
• Do not place heavy objects on the LCD display, video cable, or power cord.
• If smoke, abnormal noise, or strange odor is present, immediately switch the LCD display off and call your dealer or ViewSonic. It is dangerous to continue using the LCD display.

Macintosh users: Models older than G3 require a Macintosh adapter. Attach the adapter to the computer and plug the video cable into the adapter.

Turn ON the LCD display, then turn ON the computer. This sequence (LCD display before computer) is important.

viewsonic.exe
