our Verbatim Combo Hard Disk drive is a versatile external hard drive

featuring high-performance storage and a choice of either high-speed USB

.0 or FireWire interface. Once your drive is connected properly to your

computer, you will be able to use it as you would any hard drive

or storing

our data and for performing data back-up functions

Before you begin to use the drive there are a few important things to learn about your new product.

The front panel contains only the ON/OFF button, as illustrated below

ON/OFF Button. Once the AC Adapter has been properly connected to the drive and an AC outlet, you can press the ON/OFF button to power on the drive. The button’s green LED will come on to indicate the power

on state. The LED will ﬂ ash during data access. To turn off the drive, press the ON/OFF button again

DC Input Connector. Connect the DC cable of your included AC Adapter to the DC Input Connector.

USB Connector. Use this connector to attach the drive to your computer

on Your Desk

Place the Combo Hard Disk drive on a sturdy desk or table that is free from clutter that could block airﬂ ow around the unit. The drive is designed to lie ﬂ at on its rubber feet, or may stand upright using the included stand. In either orientation take care not to block an

Combo Hard Disk provides both FireWire and USB 2.0 connections. You can connect your Combo Hard Disk to a computer with either FireWire or USB, but not both at the same time

Connecting your Combo Hard Disk drive to a computer is extremely simple. Follow the steps below

Connect the included AC Adapter to the Combo Hard Disk drive, and t
