INTRODUCTION
Thank you for choosing a Vello Lens Adapter. Vello lens ad apters al low you to use lenses from
manuf acturer s other than t he maker of you r camera body, so you can mou nt a lens on a ca mera
body wi th which it wo uld other wise be incompatible. Vello Lens Ada pters fit securely to the
lens, but not so tigh tly that the y are dicul t to remove. Pl ease follow t hese instr uctions t o
mount a nd remove your Vello Lens Adap ter.
Alth ough the len s will fit physically, au tomatic d iaphragm (A E metering ), and other functions de pendent
on comm unication between t he camera body and lens , will be dis rupted by a le ns adapter. You wi ll need
to set exposures manually or met er in apert ure priori ty (stop -down) mode . If the lens does not have a
manual a perture c ollar, the ap erture will be stop ped to its la rgest f/st op. Focusi ng to infini ty is retai ned.
Note: t he LA- NEX- CEF will not work with t he Sony PXW- FS7 XDCA M Camcord er.

TO MOUNT THE LENS ADAPTER
Note: P lace the len s on a stable , flat surfac e when mount ing or remov ing your Vello L ens Adapter.
1. Line up the a lignment notch on the lens
adapt er with the alignment marking on
the len s. Canon EF le nses will have a red
alignment dot, a nd Canon EF-S lenses w ill
have a whi te alignment dot.
2. Rotate t he lens adap ter clock wise until i t
locks into place.

3. Lin e up the align ment dots on t he lens
adapt er and the cam era.
4. Rotate the lens as sembly clo ckwise un til it
locks into place.

TO REMOVE THE LENS ADAPTER
1. Press the l ens releas e button on t he
camera.
2. Rotate the lens assembly counterclockwise
to release.

For Sony E -mount (N EX) came ras, enable the “Rel ease without Lens” fun ction in t he menu of the
camer a. For Micro Four-Thirds (MFT) cam eras, enab le the “Shoot withou t Lens” func tion in the m enu
of the ca mera.
4. Rotate the lens adapter counterclock wise
to rele ase.

ONE-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
This VELLO product is warranted to the original purchaser to be free from defects in materials and workmanship
under normal consumer use for a period of one (1) year from the original purchase date or thirty (30) days after
replacement, whichever occurs later. The warranty provider’s responsibility with respect to this limited warranty
shall be limited solely to repair or replacement, at the provider’s discretion, of any product that fails during normal use of this product in its intended manner and in its intended environment. Inoperability of the product or
part(s) shall be determined by the warranty provider. If the product has been discontinued, the warranty provider
reserves the right to replace it with a model of equivalent quality and function.
This warranty does not cover damage or defect caused by misuse, neglect, accident, alteration, abuse, improper
installation or maintenance. EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HEREIN, THE WARRANTY PROVIDER MAKES NEITHER
ANY EXPRESS WARRANTIES NOR ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO
ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. This warranty provides you with specific legal rights, and you may also have additional rights that vary from state to state.
To obtain warranty coverage, contact the Vello Customer Service Department to obtain a return merchandise
authorization (“RMA”) number, and return the defective product to Vello along with the RMA number and proof
of purchase. Shipment of the defective product is at the purchaser’s own risk and expense.
