INTRODUCTION

Thank you for choosi ng a Vello Lens Ad apter. Vello len s adapter s allow you to use lenses fro m

manuf acturer s other than the maker of your camer a body, so you ca n mount a len s on a camera

body wi th which it would other wise be incompatible. Vello Lens Adapter s fit securel y to the

lens, but not so tightly that they are dicult to remove . Please fo llow these in struct ions to

mount a nd remove your Vel lo Lens Ada pter.

Alth ough the lens will fit phy sicall y, automat ic diaphra gm (AE meter ing) and other funct ions depe ndent

on comm unicati on betwee n the camer a body and le ns will be di srupted by a lens adapte r. You will need

to set exposures ma nually or me ter in aper ture prio rity (sto p-dow n) mode. If the lens does n ot have a

manual a pertur e collar, the a pertur e will be sto pped to it s mallest f /stop. Foc using to in finity is r etained .

TO MOUNT THE LENS ADAPTER

Note: P lace the lens on a stable , flat surf ace when mou nting or re moving your Vello Lens Ad apter.

1. Line up the red a lignment d ot on the len s
adapt er with the a lignment line or dot on
the lens.

2. Rotate th e lens adap ter counte rclock wise
until it locks int o place.

3. Line up t he alignme nt dots on th e lens
adapt er and the ca mera. Rot ate the len s
assembly clockwise until it locks into place.

TO ADJUST THE APERTURE RING

(NEX-NG ONLY)

1. Rotate the aperture ring counterclockwise
to open t he apert ure.

2. Rotate the a perture ring clock wise to
close the aperture.

Note: For Sony E-m ount (NEX) camera s,
enable the “Rele ase with out Lens” fu nction
in the me nu of the cam era. For Panasonic
Micro Four-Third s (MFT) ca meras, en able the
“Shoot without Lens” func tion in th e menu of
the camera.

TO REMOVE THE LENS ADAPTER

1. Press the len s release b utton on th e
camera.

2. Rotate the lens assembly counterclockwise
to release.

3. Lift a nd hold the re lease pin on the lens
ad ap ter.

4. Rotat e the lens adapter cloc kwise to
release.

ONE-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

This VELLO product is warranted to the original purchaser to be free from defects in materials and workmanship
under normal consumer use for a period of one (1) year from the original purchase date or thirty (30) days after
replacement, whichever occurs later. The warranty provider’s responsibility with respect to this limited warranty
shall be limited solely to repair or replacement, at the provider’s discretion, of any product that fails during nor­mal use of this product in its intended manner and in its intended environment. Inoperability of the product or
part(s) shall be determined by the warranty provider. If the product has been discontinued, the warranty provider
reserves the right to replace it with a model of equivalent quality and function.
This warranty does not cover damage or defect caused by misuse, neglect, accident, alteration, abuse, improper
installation or maintenance. EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HEREIN, THE WARRANTY PROVIDER MAKES NEITHER
ANY EXPRESS WARRANTIES NOR ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO
ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. This war­ranty provides you with specific legal rights, and you may also have additional rights that vary from state to state.
To obtain warranty coverage, contact the Vello Customer Service Department to obtain a return merchandise
authorization (“RMA”) number, and return the defective product to Vello along with the RMA number and proof
of purchase. Shipment of the defective product is at the purchaser’s own risk and expense.
