The Vello Accelerator AF
Lens Adapter is for attaching
full-frame Canon EF lenses
to Sony’s E-mount. It allows
a nearly full-frame field of
view on APS-C crop sensor
cameras by magnifying the
angle of view by 0.7×. This
also provides an extra stop
of light without decreasing
image quality. For example,

mounting a 50mm f/.4 lens
to an APS-C sensor will
usually give you a 75mm
angle of view. By adding the
Accelerator, you eectively
keep it close to the original
focal length of 50mm with a
stepped-down f-stop of f/.0.
This is a great advantage
for the widely-accepted
APS-C crop format.

The Vello Accelerator
aords additional benefits
by maintaining autofocus
and auto exposure with
AF-compatible Canon
lenses. It has four lens
elements in four groups
to maintain image quality.
And the detachable tripod
foot will work with most
brands of ball heads.

When using the Accelerator
on Sony full-frame
cameras, you must switch
to crop (APS-C) mode
for compatibility. Refer to
your camera’s user manual
for information on APS-C
mode. Some cameras will
do this switch automatically.

Note: The LAG-NEX-CEF
autofocus and auto exposure
will not work with the Sony
PXW-FS7 XDCAM camcorder.

environments when using
this adapter.

• Handle the adapter with
care. Don’t drop it, and
avoid bumps and shocks.

• Clean the adapter by
wiping it with a soft,
dry cloth.

detergents to clean the
adapter.

• Be sure to read the
operating instructions for
your digital camera.

• Keep this unit away from
children.

water and flammable
gases or liquids.

MOUNTING THE LENS ADAPTER

Note: Place the lens and
camera on a stable, flat
surface when mounting or
removing the Accelerator Lens
Adapter.

. Turn the camera’s

power o.

2. Remove all caps before
mounting.

3. Line up the white
alignment dots on the
lens adapter and the
camera.

4. Carefully insert the
lens adapter into the
camera, and rotate the
Accelerator clockwise
until it locks into place.

5. Line up the red alignment
dot on the lens with the
red alignment dot on the
lens adapter.

6. Carefully insert the lens
into the lens adapter, and
rotate the lens assembly
clockwise until it locks
into place.

REMOVING THE LENS ADAPTER

. Turn the camera’s

2. Press and hold the lens
adapter's lens release.

3. Rotate the lens
counterclockwise to
release, and carefully
detach the lens from the
lens adapter.

4. Reattach the front lens
cap to the lens adapter.

5. Press and hold the lens
release button on the
camera.

6. Rotate the lens adapter
counterclockwise to
release, and carefully
detach the lens adapter
from the camera.

7. Reattach the rear lens
cap to the lens adapter.



MOUNTING THE TRIPOD COLLAR

. Align the tripod collar’s

mounting screw with
the mounting hole on
the bottom of the lens
adapter.

2. Carefully rotate the
mounting wheel on
the tripod collar
counterclockwise until
the tripod collar is
securely attached to the
lens adapter.

REMOVING THE TRIPOD COLLAR

. To remove the

tripod collar, rotate
the mounting wheel
clockwise until the
collar is loose enough
to remove from the lens
adapter.

Note: If your lens has a built-in
tripod collar, use the collar on
the lens to mount the assembly
to the tripod.

This VELLO product is warranted to the original
purchaser to be free from defects in materials and
workmanship under normal consumer use for a
period of one () year from the original purchase
date or thirty (30) days after replacement, whichever
occurs later. The warranty provider’s responsibility
with respect to this limited warranty shall be limited
solely to repair or replacement, at the provider’s
discretion, of any product that fails during normal
use of this product in its intended manner and in its
intended environment. Inoperability of the product
or part(s) shall be determined by the warranty
provider. If the product has been discontinued, the
warranty provider reserves the right to replace it
with a model of equivalent quality and function.

This warranty does not cover damage or defect
caused by misuse, neglect, accident, alteration, abuse,
improper installation or maintenance. EXCEPT AS
PROVIDED HEREIN, THE WARRANTY PROVIDER
MAKES NEITHER ANY EXPRESS WARRANTIES
NOR ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING

PARTICULAR PURPOSE. This warranty provides
you with specific legal rights, and you may also have
additional rights that vary from state to state.
To obtain warranty coverage, contact the Vello
Customer Service Department to obtain a
return merchandise authorization (“RMA”)
number, and return the defective product to
Vello along with the RMA number and proof of
purchase. Shipment of the defective product is
at the purchaser’s own risk and expense.
