1. Introduction

be taken to a specialized company for recycling. This device should be returned to your distributor or to

2. Safety Instructions
The gas tank of the GASIRON2 should not make contact with alcohol or liquids containing alcohol.
Do not use water to cool down the soldering iron as this may damage it.
Keep the device out of reach of children and unauthorized users.
Do not use the GASIRON2 when it is damaged or leaking gas.
Allow the gas to stabilize before using the device after a refill.
Do not refill the soldering iron in the room where you are going to use it or in a room with ignition sources.
Do not put an ignited GASIRON2 down on any surface.
Do not tamper with the device; any modification could cause a potential hazard.
Be careful not to heat or burn the refill canisters or the device's gas tank.
Work only in a well-ventilated area and keep the working space tidy and free from combustible or greasy
materials.
Always wear eye protection and protective gloves when working with the GASIRON2.
WARNING: the flame is not easily visible in the sun.
Do not point the flame towards people or animals.
Treat the GASIRON2 as you would any fine tool or instrument. Do not drop or otherwise abuse it.
Do not store the device in a place where the temperature can exceed 40 °C (104 °F).
Warning! This tool must be placed on its stand when not in use; do not leave the tool unattended when
switched on.

6. Assembly
Always let the GASIRON2 cool down before adding or removing parts.
Keep a burning or hot GASIRON2 away from flammable materials and other people!

The soldering head (#1 to 4) can be screwed off by turning the locking ring (#4) counter clockwise.
When working with the soldering head installed, make sure the locking ring is well fastened and the exhaust
vent (#2) faces up; if the exhaust vent faces down, it may damage the surface underneath what you are
soldering.
The soldering tip itself (#1) can also be removed by screwing it off.
7. Operation
7.1 Soldering Iron
1. Make sure the exhaust vent (#2) faces up.
2. Set the on/off switch (#6) to the ON position to let the gas flow.
3. Pull the soldering head forward until you can see the nozzle (#10) through the ignition vent (#3). Then
light the gas by bringing an open flame to the ignition vent.
4. Release the soldering head; the flame will disappear inside the head and will generate heat there.
5. Set the on/off switch (#6) to OFF to extinguish the soldering iron.
7.2 Gas Torch
1. Remove the soldering head (#1 to 4).
2. Set the on/off switch (#6) to ON to let the gas flow and bring an open flame next to the nozzle (#10).
3. Set the on/off switch (#6) to OFF to extinguish the soldering iron.
7.3 Hot Blower
Screw the soldering tip (#1) off the soldering head by turning it counter clockwise. Ignition and extinguishing is
the same as for the soldering iron (§4a).
7.4 Flame / Heat Adjustment
Adjust the gas flow by means of the gas volume control (#7). Rotate it to the + or the - to increase or decrease
the gas flow.
7.5 Refilling the Gas Tank
1. Make sure the on/off switch (#6) is set to OFF and the GASIRON2 has cooled down completely.
2. Refill the device in a well-ventilated area away from any ignition source and away from other people. Do
not smoke while refilling the gas torch.
3. Refill with butane gas only.
4. Hold the GASIRON2 upside down, insert the nozzle of the butane canister into the gas refill valve and
press the canister down to let the gas flow from the canister into the gas tank of the soldering iron.
5. When the gas stops flowing, pull the canister out of the refill valve.

GEBRUIKERSHANDLEIDING
1. Inleiding

Belangrijke milieu-informatie betreffende dit product
Dit symbool op het toestel of de verpakking geeft aan dat, als het na zijn levenscyclus wordt
weggeworpen, dit toestel schade kan toebrengen aan het milieu. Gooi dit toestel (en eventuele
batterijen) niet bij het gewone huishoudelijke afval; het moet bij een gespecialiseerd bedrijf
terechtkomen voor recyclage. U moet dit toestel naar uw verdeler of naar een lokaal recyclagepunt
brengen. Respecteer de plaatselijke milieuwetgeving.
Hebt u vragen, contacteer dan de plaatselijke autoriteiten betreffend de verwijdering.
Dank u voor uw aankoop! Lees deze handleiding grondig voor u het toestel in gebruik neemt. Werd het toestel
beschadigd tijdens het transport, installeer het dan niet en raadpleeg uw dealer.
2. Veiligheidsinstructies
Het gasreservoir van de GASIRON2 mag niet in contact komen met alcohol of vloeistoffen die alcohol
bevatten.
Gebruik geen water om de soldeerbout af te koelen; dit kan het toestel ernstig beschadigen.
Houd het toestel buiten het bereik van kinderen of onbevoegden.
Gebruik de GASIRON2 niet wanneer deze beschadigd is of als er gas lekt.
Laat het gas stabiliseren voor u het gaat gebruiken na een bijvulbeurt.
Vul de soldeerbout niet in de ruimte waarin u hem zal gebruiken of in ruimtes met ontstekingsbronnen.
Leg een brandende GASIRON2 nooit ergens neer.
Knoei niet met het toestel; iedere wijziging kan een mogelijk gevaar inhouden.
Let erop dat u de bijvulbusjes of het gasreservoir van de GASIRON2 niet verwarmt of verbrandt.
Werk enkel in een goed geventileerde ruimte en houd uw werkplaats netjes en vrij van brandbare en vette
materialen.
Draag altijd een veiligheidsbril en veiligheidshandschoenen wanneer u met de GASIRON2 werkt.
WAARSCHUWING: de vlam is niet goed zichtbaar in zonlicht.
Richt de vlam niet naar mensen of dieren.
Behandel de GASIRON2 zoals u ieder ander fijn werktuig zou behandelen. Laat het niet vallen en behandel
het met zorg.
Berg het toestel niet op in ruimtes waar het warmer kan worden dan 40 °C (104 °F).
Waarschuwing! Dit gereedschap moet in de houder geplaatst worden indien het niet gebruikt wordt; laat
het niet onbeheerd achter wanneer het ingeschakeld is.

6. Montage
Laat de GASIRON2 altijd afkoelen voor u onderdelen verwijdert of toevoegt.
Houd een brandende of gloeiende GASIRON2 uit de buurt van brandbare materialen en andere mensen!
De soldeerkop (#1 tot 4) kan eraf geschroefd worden door de bevestigingsring (#4) in tegenwijzerzin te
draaien.
Wanneer u werkt met de soldeerkop, verzeker u er dan van dan deze stevig vast zit en dat de luchtuitlaat
(#2) bovenaan zit; als deze onderaan zit kan het oppervlak onder wat u wilt solderen, beschadigd worden.
De soldeerpunt zelf (#1) kan ook worden verwijderd door deze er gewoon af te schroeven.
7. Gebruik
7.1 Soldeerbout
1. Zorg ervoor dat de luchtuitlaat (#2) naar boven gericht is.
2. Zet de aan/uit schakelaar (#6) op ON om het gas te laten ontsnappen.
3. Trek de soldeerkop naar voren tot u tot u de straalpijp (#10) kunt zien door de ontstekingsopening (#3).
Steek vervolgens het gas in brand door een open vlam bij de ontstekingsopening te brengen.
4. Laat de soldeerkop los; de vlam zal in de kop verdwijnen en daar warmte ontwikkelen.
5. Zet de aan/uit schakelaar (#6) op OFF om de soldeerbout te doven.
7.2 Gasbrander
1. Schroef de soldeerkop (#1 tot 4) van het toestel.
2. Zet de aan/uit schakelaar (#6) op ON om het gas te laten ontsnappen en breng een open vlam bij de
straalpijp(#10).
3. Zet de aan/uit schakelaar (#6) op OFF om de GASIRON2 te doven.
7.3 Heteluchtblazer
Schroef de soldeerpunt (#1) van de soldeerbout door hem in tegenwijzerzin te draaien. Aansteken en doven
gebeurt zoals bij de soldeerbout (§4a).
7.4 Regeling vlam / warmte
Regel het gasvolume door middel van de gasregelaar (#7). Draai de regelaar naar + of - om de gastoevoer
respectievelijk te laten toe- en afnemen.
7.5 Gasreservoir bijvullen
1. Verzeker u ervan dat de aan/uit schakelaar (#6) op OFF staat en dat de GASIRON2 volledig afgekoeld is.
2. Vul het apparaat bij in een goed geventileerde ruimte en uit de buurt van ontstekingsbronnen en andere
mensen. Rook niet terwijl u de gassoldeerbout bijvult.
3. Enkel bijvullen met butaangas.
4. Houd de GASIRON2 ondersteboven, steek de teut van van het busje butaangas in het bijvulventiel (#9) en
druk het busje naar beneden om het gas te laten overvloeien in het reservoir van de soleerbout.
5. Verwijder het busje uit het ventiel wanneer het reservoir vol is.
