2. Safety Instructions
Be very careful during the installation: touching live wires can cause life-threatening electroshocks.
Do not touch the device during operation as the housing heats up.
Keep this devi c e away fro m rai n and moisture.
Unplug the mains lead before o p ening the housing .

• Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the warranty and the
deal er will n ot accept respon si bility for any en suing defects or problems.
• A qualified technician should install and service this device.
• Do no t switc h the devic e on immed iatel y after it has been exposed to chang es in temper atur e. Protect the
devi ce against damage by leaving it switch ed off u n til i t has r eac h ed room temperature.
• This device falls under p rotection class II. Have a qualified person carry out the electric connection.
• Make sure that the avail able voltage does not exc eed th e voltage stated in the specifications of this manual.
• Do no t crimp the pow er cord a nd protect it against damage. Have an auth oris e d dealer replace it if
necessary.
• Disconnect the d evice from the mains to clean it or when it is not in use. Handl e the power cord by the plug
only.
• Note th at damage cause d by user modifications to the device is not covered by the w ar ranty.
• Keep the device away fro m children and unauthorised users.
3. General Guidelines
Refer to the Velle man® Servi ce and Qualit y Warranty on the last pages of this manual.
• This device is desig ned for professional use on stage, in discos, theatres, etc. The device should only be
used indoors with an alternating voltage of 230VAC / 50Hz.
• Do no t shake the dev ic e. A void brute force when in s talling or operating the device.
• Sel ec t a location where the d evic e i s protected ag ainst extreme heat (see "Technical Specifications"), dust
and moisture.
• Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually using it. Do not allow operation by
unqualified people. Any damage that may occur w ill most probably b e due to unprof essional use of the
device.
• Use the original packaging if the devi c e is to be trans po rted .
• All modi fication s of the device are forbid den for safety reason s .
• Only use the device fo r its intended purpose. All other uses may lead to short circuits, burns, electroshocks,
crash, etc. Using the devic e in an unauthorised way will void the warranty.
4. Installation
• Have the device ins talled by a qualified person, respec tin g EN 60598-2-17 and al l o t her a pplica ble norms .
• The i n s tal lation must alway s be secured with a seco ndar y attac h ment e.g. a safety cable.

• Never stand directly below the devic e wh en i t is bein g mou n ted , remov ed or serviced. Have a qu alified
technician c h eck the device once a year and once before you bring it into s ervi c e.
• Install the device in a location with few passers-by that is inaccessible to unautho rised persons.
• Overhead mounting r equires extensive experien c e: calculating workload limits, d etermining the installation
material to be used… Have the material and the devic e its el f checked reg ul arl y. Do not attempt to install
the device yourself if you lack these qualifications as improper installation may result in injuries.
• Befo r e moun ting make sure the installation area c an hold a minimum point load of 10 times the device's
weight.
• Make sure ther e is no flammable material within a 0.5 m radius of the devi c e.
• Have a qualified el ec tri ci an c ar ry out the elec tri c co n nection.
• Con nect th e devic e to th e main s with the power plug. Do not connect it to a dimming pack.
• The installation has to be approved by an expert before the devic e is taken into servic e.
How to i n stall: C hoose an approp riate installation spot. Fix e ac h br acket (at ± 15 5 0 mm apart) onto the wall or
ceiling with the included screws usi ng an appropriate screw d river. Click the fluo rescent tube into the brackets.
5. Use
Turn the device on or off with the ON/OFF button.
6. Cleaning and Maint enance
• All screws should be tigh tened and free of cor rosio n .
• The housing, visible parts, mounti ng supports and the installation location (e.g. c eiling, suspension,
trussing) should not be deformed, modified or tampered with e.g. do not drill extra holes in mounting
supports, do no t change the location of the connections.
• Moving mechanic parts must not show any signs of wear and tear.
• The electric pow er supply cables must not show any damage. H ave a q ualifi ed techni cian maintain the
device.
• Disc onn ect the device from the mains prior to maintenan c e ac tiviti es.
• Wipe the device regularly with a moist, lint-free cloth. Do not use alcohol or solvents.
• There are no us er -serviceable parts.
• Con tac t your dealer fo r sp ar e parts if ne c ess ary .

2. Veiligheidsinstructies
Wees voo r zi chtig bij de ins tallatie: raak g een kabels aan die onder stroom s taan, om dodelijke

Verzeker u ervan dat het toestel niet aang esloten is op een stroombron alvorens het te openen.

• De bes chikbare netspanning mag niet hoger zijn dan de span ning in de speci ficaties achteraan de
handleiding.
• Zorg ervoor dat het stroo ms noer ni et g ekn eld of geplooi d is en besc h er m het tegen bes chadigi ng. Laat uw
deal er zo nodig een nieuwe kabel pl aatsen .
• Trek de stek ke r uit het s topcontact vo ordat u h et toes tel rei n ig t of als u het niet g eb r ui kt. Houd de
voedi n g s k ab el altijd vast bij de stekker en ni et bij d e kabel.
• Schad e door wijzigi n g en die de geb r ui ker h eeft aangebracht aan het to es tel valt niet ond er de garan tie.
• Hou d dit toe s te l uit de buu rt van kin d er en en onbevoegden.
3. Algemene richtlijnen
Raa dpleeg de Velleman® service- en kwali teit s g aran tie achteraan deze handleiding.
• Dit toestel is ontworp en voor professio n eel g ebruik op podia, i n dis co' s , enz. U mag dit toestel en kel
binnenshuis gebruiken met een wisselspanning van 230VAC / 50 Hz.
• Schud het toestel ni et. Vermijd brute kracht tij dens de installati e of de bedieni n g van het to es tel.
• Installeer het toestel weg van extreme temperaturen (zie "Techni s che s p ecif icaties") , vocht en stof.
• Leer eers t d e fun c ties van het toestel ken n en voor u het gaat gebruiken. O nges c ho old e p er so n en mog en dit
toestel niet geb r ui ken . Meestal is beschadiging het gevol g van onp rofessioneel g ebruik van het toestel.
• Gebrui k d e oors p ron kel ijke verpakki ng wanneer u het toestel vervoert.
• Om veili gheids redenen mag u geen wijzigingen aanbrengen aan het toestel .
• Gebrui k h et to es tel en kel waarvoor het gemaakt i s . Andere toep assin g en ku nnen leiden tot kortsluitin g en,
brandwonden , el ektri s c h e schokk en, enz. De garanti e ver valt automatis ch bij ongeoorl o ofd gebru ik.
