1. Introduction

To all residents of the European Union Important environmental information about this product

This symbol on the device or the package indicates that disposal of the device after its lifecycle could harm the environment. Do not dispose of the unit (or batteries) as unsorted municipal waste; it should be taken to a specialized company for recycling. This device should be returned to your distributor or to a local recycling service. Respect the local environmental rules.

2. Safety Instructions

Keep this device away from children and unauthorized users.

Indoor use only. Keep this device away from rain, moisture, splashing and dripping liquids. Never put objects filled with liquids on top of or close to the device.

DO NOT disassemble or open the cover under any circumstances. Touching live wires can cause life-threatening electroshocks. There are no user-serviceable parts inside the device. Refer to an authorized dealer for service and/or spare parts.

Always connect the device to an earthed power socket.

Caution: device heats up during use. Make sure the ventilation openings are clear at all

times. For sufficient air circulation, leave at least 1” (±2.5 cm) in front of the openings.

Place the device on a flat, heat resistant surface, do not place the device on carpets, fabrics…

Always disconnect mains power when device not in use or when servicing or maintenance activities are performed. Handle the power cord by the plug only.

Keep this device away from dust and extreme temperatures.

Protect this device from shocks and abuse. Avoid brute force when operating the device.

Do not use the device when damage to housing or cables is noticed. Do not attempt to service the device yourself but contact an authorised dealer.

3. General Guidelines

Refer to the Velleman® Service and Quality Warranty on the last pages of this manual.

 Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually using it.  All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons. Damage caused by user modifications

to the device is not covered by the warranty.

 Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in an unauthorised way will void the

warranty.

 Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the warranty and

the dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.

6. Operation

Switching the Power Supply On or Off

Always connect the device to an earthed power socket.

1. Connect the included power cord to the back of the device and plug the other end into a suitable,

earthed power socket.

2. Press the POWER button to switch on the power supply.

The device displays the last used setting. At this moment, there is no output voltage or current on the output terminals.

3. Press the POWER button to switch off the power supply.

Use as Voltage Source (CV) – Setting the Maximum Voltage

Set the voltage by turning the VOLTAGE knob. Press the VOLTAGE knob to select a digit (the digit blinks). Each press on the VOLTAGE knob makes the digit move to the right. The set value will be memorized 2 seconds after the last setting action.

Use as Constant Current Source (CC)

1. Set the maximum voltage as described above.

2. Briefly press the CURRENT knob to set the maximum current. The left digit blinks and you can now

enter your setting. Each press on the CURRENT knob makes the digit move to the right. The set value will be memorized 2 seconds after the last setting action.

3. The set current can only be delivered if voltage is present and that voltage is high enough. In this

case, the CC indicator will blink. The displayed voltage is the voltage on the load.

Connecting a Load

1. Connect the load’s positive terminal to the red + terminal of the power supply.

2. Connect the load’s negative terminal to the black – terminal of the power supply.

3. You can, by connecting + or – to the ground (GND), choose if + or – will stay at 0 V (earth

potential). Otherwise, the power output will be galvanically isolated or floating.

Locking the Panel keys

To prevent unwanted operation of the panel keys, you can lock the front panel.

1. Press and hold the VOLTAGE knob until the LOCK indicator lights up. The buttons are now locked.

2. To unlock the panel, press and hold the button until the LOCK indicator switches off.

Overcurrent Protection

The power output will be deactivated when the set current is transgressed.

1. Set the maximum current as described above.

2. Keep the CURRENT knob pressed until the OCP indicator lights.

3. Keep the CURRENT knob pressed to deactivate the OCP function.

4. When exceeding the maximum current, voltage and current will go to 00.00/0.000. Disconnect the

load and deactivate the OCP function before using the power supply again.

7. Troubleshooting

 Nothing happens when you operating the panel buttons.

The buttons are locked. Press and hold the VOLTAGE knob for about 2 seconds.

 Voltage is present (see VU meter) but there is no output current.

Faulty load. The load is not properly connected. The maximum current is set at 0.

8. Cleaning and Maintenance

 Disconnect the device from the mains prior to maintenance activities.  The power supply cables must not show any damage. Have a qualified technician maintain the

device.

 Wipe the device regularly with a moist, lint-free cloth. Do not use alcohol or solvents.  There are no user-serviceable parts, apart from the fuse. Contact your dealer for spare parts if

necessary.

 Store the device in a dry, well-ventilated, dust-free room.

Replacing the Fuse

Only replace the fuse by a fuse of the same type and rating.

1. Before replacing the fuse, unplug the mains lead.

2. Wedge the fuse holder out of its housing with a flat-head screwdriver.

3. Remove the damaged fuse from its holder and replace with the exact same type of fuse.

4. Insert the fuse holder back in its place and reconnect power.

GEBRUIKERSHANDLEIDING

1. Inleiding

Aan alle ingezetenen van de Europese Unie Belangrijke milieu-informatie betreffende dit product

Dit symbool op het toestel of de verpakking geeft aan dat, als het na zijn levenscyclus wordt weggeworpen, dit toestel schade kan toebrengen aan het milieu. Gooi dit toestel (en eventuele batterijen) niet bij het gewone huishoudelijke afval; het moet bij een gespecialiseerd bedrijf terechtkomen voor recyclage. U moet dit toestel naar uw verdeler of naar een lokaal recyclagepunt brengen. Respecteer de plaatselijke milieuwetgeving.

Hebt u vragen, contacteer dan de plaatselijke autoriteiten betreffende de verwijdering.

2. Veiligheidsinstructies

Houd dit toestel buiten het bereik van kinderen en onbevoegden.

Gebruik het toestel enkel binnenshuis. Bescherm het toestel tegen regen, vochtigheid en opspattende vloeistoffen. Plaats geen objecten gevuld met vloeistof op of naast het toestel.

Demonteer of open dit toestel NOOIT. Raak geen kabels aan die onder stroom staan, om dodelijke elektroschokken te vermijden. Er zijn geen onderdelen in het toestel die door de gebruiker gerepareerd kunnen worden. Voor onderhoud en/of reserveonderdelen, contacteer uw dealer.

Sluit het toestel steeds aan op een geaard stopcontact.

Opgelet: dit toestel wordt zeer warm tijdens het gebruik. Zorg dat de verluchtingsopeningen niet verstopt geraken. Voorzie een ruimte van minstens 1" (± 2,5 cm) tussen het toestel en elk ander object. Plaats het toestel op een effen, hittebestendig oppervlak en zet het nooit op een tapijt, kleed, ...

Trek de stekker uit het stopcontact voordat u het toestel reinigt of als u het niet gebruikt. Houd de voedingskabel altijd vast bij de stekker en niet bij de kabel.

Bescherm dit toestel tegen stof en extreme temperaturen.

Bescherm tegen schokken. Vermijd brute kracht tijdens de bediening.

Gebruik het toestel niet indien de behuizing of de bekabeling beschadigd is. Probeer in geen geval het toestel zelf te repareren maar contacteer uw dealer.

3. Algemene richtlijnen

Raadpleeg de Velleman® service- en kwaliteitsgarantie achteraan deze handleiding.

 Leer eerst de functies van het toestel kennen voor u het gaat gebruiken.  Om veiligheidsredenen mag u geen wijzigingen aan het apparaat aanbrengen. Schade door

wijzigingen die de gebruiker heeft aangebracht aan het toestel valt niet onder de garantie.

 Gebruik het toestel enkel waarvoor het gemaakt is. De garantie vervalt automatisch bij ongeoorloofd

gebruik.

 De garantie geldt niet voor schade door het negeren van bepaalde richtlijnen in deze handleiding en

uw dealer zal de verantwoordelijkheid afwijzen voor defecten of problemen die hier rechtstreeks verband mee houden.

 Bewaar deze handleiding voor verdere raadpleging.

6. Gebruik

Het toestel in- of uitschakelen

Sluit het toestel steeds aan op een geaard stopcontact.

1. Steek de stekker van de voedingskabel in een geschikt, geaard stopcontact.

2. Druk op de POWER-knop om het toestel in te schakelen.

Het toestel geeft de laatst gebruikte instelling weer. Momenteel is er geen spanning of stroom op de uitgangsaansluitingen.

3. Druk op de POWER-knop om het toestel uit te schakelen.

Gebruik als spanningsbron (CV) – Instelling van de maximumspanning

Stel de spanning in door aan de VOLTAGE-knop te draaien. Druk op de VOLTAGE-knop om een digit te selecteren (knippert); elke keer dat u de knop indrukt, schuift de aflezing 1 digit op naar rechts. De waarde wordt onthouden 2 seconden nadat u de laatste instelling ingaf.

Gebruik als constante stroombron (CC)

1. Stel de maximumspanning in zoals hierboven beschreven.

2. Druk kort op de CURRENT-knop om de maximumstroom in te geven. De linkerdigit knippert; u kunt

de waarde nu instellen. Elke keer dat u de knop indrukt, schuift de aflezing 1 digit op naar rechts. De waarde wordt onthouden 2 seconden nadat u de laatste instelling ingaf.

3. De ingestelde stroom kan enkel geleverd worden als er spanning aanwezig is en die voldoende hoog

is. In dit geval zal de CC-indicator oplichten. De afgelezen spanning is de spanning op de belasting.

Een belasting aansluiten

1. Sluit de positieve uitgangsconnector van de belasting aan op de rode + uitgangsconnector van de

voeding.

2. Sluit de negatieve aansluitconnector van de belasting aan op de zwarte – aansluitconnector van de

voeding.

3. U kunt, door + of – aan de aarde (GND) door te verbinden, kiezen of + of – op 0 V (aardpotentiaal)

staat. Doet u dit niet, dan is de voedingsuitgang galvanisch gescheiden of zwevend.

De knoppen vergrendelen

Om ongewenste bediening van de knoppen te voorkomen, kunt u deze vergrendelen.

1. Houd de VOLTAGE-knop ingedrukt totdat de LOCK-indicator oplicht. De knoppen zijn nu

vergrendeld.

2. Om de knoppen te ontgrendelen, houd de knop opnieuw ingedrukt totdat de LOCK-indicator niet

meer brandt.

Overstroombeveiliging

Bij het overschrijden van de ingestelde stroom schakelt de voedingsuitgang af.

1. Stel de maximumstroom in zoals hierboven beschreven.

2. Druk langdurig op de CURRENT-knop tot de OCP-indicator oplicht.

3. Druk opnieuw langdurig op de CURRENT-knop om de OCP-functie uit te schakelen.

4. Bij het overschrijden van de maximumstroom, zullen spanning en stroom naar 00.00/0.000 gaan.

Koppel de belasting los en schakel de OCP-functie uit alvorens de voeding verder te kunnen gebruiken.

7. Probleemoplossing

 Er gebeurt niets bij het bedienen van de knoppen.

De knoppen zijn vergrendeld. Houd de VOLTAGE-knop gedurende 2 seconden ingedrukt.

 De spanning is aanwezig (zie vu-meter) maar er is geen uitgangsstroom.

De belasting is defect. De belasting is slecht aangesloten. De maximumstroom is op 0 ingesteld.

8. Reiniging en onderhoud

 Trek de stekker uit het stopcontact voor u aan onderhoudswerkzaamheden begint.  De voedingskabels mogen niet beschadigd zijn. Laat het toestel onderhouden door een geschoolde

technicus.

 Maak het toestel geregeld schoon met een vochtige, niet pluizende doek. Gebruik geen alcohol of

oplosmiddelen.

 Er zijn geen onderdelen in het toestel die door de gebruiker gerepareerd kunnen worden, behalve de

zekering. Bestel eventuele reserveonderdelen bij uw plaatselijke dealer.

 Bewaar het toestel op een droge, goed geventileerde, stofvrije ruimte.

De zekering vervangen

Vervang een gesprongen zekering enkel door een zekering van hetzelfde type.

1. Ontkoppel het toestel van de netspanning voor u de zekering vervangt.

2. Maak de zekeringhouder los met behulp van een schroevendraaier met platte kop.

3. Verwijder de oude zekering en vervang door een zekering van hetzelfde type.

4. Plaats de zekeringhouder terug in het toestel en schakel de stroom weer in.

MODE D'EMPLOI

1. Introduction

l’appareil en question. Renvoyer l'appareil à votre fournisseur ou à un service de recyclage local. Il convient de respecter la réglementation locale relative à la protection de l’environnement.

Nous vous remercions de votre achat ; Lire attentivement le présent mode d'emploi avant la mise en service de l’appareil. Si l'appareil a été endommagé pendant le transport, ne pas l’installer et consulter votre revendeur.

2. Consignes de sécurité

Garder l'appareil hors de la portée des enfants et des personnes non autorisées.

Utiliser cet appareil uniquement à l'intérieur. Protéger cet appareil de la pluie, de

l’humidité et des projections d’eau. Ne jamais placer d’objets contenant du liquide sur ou près de l’appareil.

NE JAMAIS désassembler ni ouvrir le boîtier. Toucher un câble sous tension peut causer

des électrochocs mortels. Il n’y a aucune pièce réparable par l’utilisateur. Commander des pièces de rechange éventuelles chez votre revendeur.

Toujours brancher l'appareil sur une prise de courant avec mise à la terre.

Attention : l'appareil chauffe pendant l’usage. Veiller à ce que les fentes de ventilation ne

soient pas bloquées. Laisser une distance de minimum 2,5 cm entre l’appareil et tout autre objet. Placer l'appareil sur une surface plane, résistante à la chaleur. Ne pas le placer sur un tapis, tissu, etc.

Toujours déconnecter l’appareil s’il n’est pas utilisé et avant le nettoyage ou l'entretien. Tirer sur la fiche pour débrancher l'appareil ; non pas sur le câble.

Protéger contre la poussière et les températures extrêmes.

Protéger l’appareil des chocs et de l'abus. Traiter l'appareil avec circonspection pendant l’opération.

Ne pas utiliser l'appareil si le boîtier ou le câblage sont endommagés. Ne pas essayer de réparer l'appareil soi-même, contacter votre revendeur.

3. Directives générales

Se référer à la garantie de service et de qualité Velleman® en fin de ce mode d'emploi.

 Se familiariser avec le fonctionnement de l'appareil avant de l'utiliser.  Toute modification est interdite pour des raisons de sécurité. Les dommages occasionnés par des

modifications par le client ne tombent pas sous la garantie.

 N’utiliser l'appareil qu’à sa fonction prévue. Un usage impropre annule d'office la garantie.  La garantie ne s’applique pas aux dommages survenus en négligeant certaines directives de ce mode

d'emploi et votre revendeur déclinera toute responsabilité pour les problèmes et les défauts qui en résultent.

 Garder ce mode d'emploi pour toute référence ultérieure.

6. Emploi

Allumer ou éteindre l'appareil

Toujours brancher l'appareil sur une prise de courant avec mise à la terre.

1. Connecter le câble d'alimentation (incl.) à l'arrière de l'appareil et brancher l'autre extrémité sur une

prise de courant appropriée avec mise à la terre.

2. Appuyer sur le bouton POWER pour allumer l'appareil.

L'appareil affiche le dernier réglage utilisé. En ce moment, il n'y a pas de tension ni de courant sur les connecteurs de sortie.

3. Appuyer sur le bouton POWER pour éteindre l'appareil.

Utiliser comme source de tension continue (C.V.) - Régler la tension maximale

Régler la tension en tournant le bouton VOLTAGE. Enfoncer le bouton VOLTAGE pour sélectionner un chiffre (le chiffre clignote). A chaque appui sur le bouton VOLTAGE, le chiffre se déplace vers la droite. La valeur réglée est mémorisée 2 secondes après le dernier réglage.
