CARS3500S – REGULATED SWITCHING MODE CAR ADAPTER 70W

1. Introduction

Thank you for buying the CARS3500S! It is designed to convert an 11-16Vdc input (car plug) to a 15-24Vdc output,
as required by most current notebook computers. It features overload and short circuit protection to avoid damage.

2. Voltage, Polarity, Fuse

! The importer will not be held responsible for damaged or lost software or damage to a connected device.
Before connecting a device you should make sure that both the voltage and polarity are correct. Do not
change either voltage or polarity during operation. Contact your local dealer when in doubt.

Voltage: 7 voltages are available: 15, 16, 18, 19, 20Vdc for a maximum consumption of 3.5A, and 22, 24Vdc for 2.9A
max. Check what the required voltage is and select it on the CARS3500S.

Polarity: the CARS3500S comes with 6 different adapter plugs.
Select the one you need and connect it to the cable end.
The plugs can only be connected so as to obtain a positive tip voltage. This is the most
common type of voltage supply connection for notebook computers.

Fuse: the power input is equipped with a 15A car fuse (order code AFU15).

3. Caution

1. For 12Vdc car use only!

2. Always double check voltage and polarity before using a device in order to avoid damage.

3. Do not use this adapter with an appliance that requires more than 70W.

4. Do not attempt to open this device as it will void the warranty.

5. Remove the CARS3500S from the cigar lighter plug when it is not being used.

6. Always switch the connected device off before disconnecting the CARS3500S.

7. Always start the car engine before plugging in the adaptor.

1. Inleiding

dit toestel schade kan toebrengen aan het milieu.

Gooi dit toestel (en eventuele batterijen) niet bij het gewone huishoudelijke afval; het moet bij een
gespecialiseerd bedrijf terechtkomen voor recyclage.
U moet dit toestel naar uw verdeler of naar een lokaal recyclagepunt brengen.

Dank u voor uw aankoop! De CARS3500S is ontworpen om een 11-16Vdc ingangsspanning (autoplug) om te zetten
naar een 15-24Vdc uitgangsspanning, waar de meest gangbare notebook computers op werken. Het beschikt over
een beveiliging tegen overbelasting en kortsluiting om schade te voorkomen.

2. Spanning en polariteit

! De invoerder kan niet aansprakelijk worden gesteld voor beschadiging of verlies van software of
aangesloten toestellen. Voor u een toestel aansluit, moet u nagaan of de gebruikte polariteit en de spanning
correct zijn. Tijdens gebruik mag u noch de spanning, noch de polariteit wijzigen. Neem in geval van twijfel
contact op met uw plaatselijke verdeler.

Spanning: u kunt kiezen tussen 7 spanningen: 15, 16, 18, 19, 20Vdc voor een verbruik van 3.5A max, en 22, 24Vdc
voor 2.9A max. Controleer welke de spanning is die u nodig heeft en selecteer deze op de CARS3500S.

Polariteit: de CARS3500S wordt geleverd met 6 verschillende verloopstekkers. Selecteer de stekker die u nodig
heeft en sluit hem aan op de kabelconnector. De stekkers kunnen slechts zo aangesloten worden dat u een
verbinding met positieve tip krijgt (zie figuur blz.1). Dit is de meest gebruikelijke voedingsaansluiting voor notebook
computers.

Zekering: de voedingsingang is uitgerust met een 15A autozekering (bestelcode AFU15).

3. Let op!

1. Enkel voor gebruik op een 12Vdc sigarenaansteker!

2. Controleer altijd zorgvuldig de spanning en polariteit voor u een toestel aansluit om schade te voorkomen.

3. Gebruik deze adapter niet met toestellen die meer verbruiken dan 70W.

4. De garantie vervalt wanneer u het toestel probeert te openen.

5. Haal de CARS3500S uit de sigarenaansteker wanneer hij niet wordt gebruikt.

6. Zet altijd het aangesloten toestel uit voor u de CARS3500S loskoppelt.

7. Start de motor van uw wagen altijd vóór u de adapter aansluit.
