1. Introduction

void the warranty.

• Contact your dealer for spare parts if necessary.

5. Operation

Refer to the illustrations on page 2 of this manual.

• Connect the speaker set (not incl.) outputs to an input connector pair [1, 2, 3 or 4] at

the rear of the speaker selector. Use a suitable cable (not incl.) of max. 14 gauge (±2mm²). To make a connection:

• Important: always use the correct polarity – connect the positive (+, red) terminal of

the speaker to the positive connector on the speaker selector and the negative (-, black) terminal of the speaker to the negative connector of the speaker selector.

• Always connect speakers in pair (a left and right speaker) to any input connector [1, 2,

3 or 4] and use speakers with the same impedance.

• Make sure the amplifier (not incl.) is off and connect its speaker outputs to the input

connectors [D] of the speaker selector. Use a suitable cable (not incl.) of max. 14 gauge (±2mm²) and respect the polarities.

• When desired, a second speaker selector can be connected to the output connectors [E].

• Switch on the amplifier and enable the desired output speakers with the output selectors

1~4 [B] at the front of the speaker selector (push down to enabled, release to disable). Note: depending on the load, the speaker selector will heat up. Always leave at least

5cm free space on either side of the selector switch and keep the ventilation openings free from dust etc … at all times.

• When necessary, press the impedance protection circuit switch [A] to enable the internal

impedance protection circuit. This prevents that the impedance presented to the amplifier drops below 5.

1. Inleiding

Dank u voor uw aankoop! Lees deze handleiding grondig voor u het toestel in gebruik neemt. Werd het toestel beschadigd tijdens het transport, installeer het dan niet en raadpleeg uw dealer.

VDSSS4 is een luidsprekerselector voor 4 luidsprekersets. Deze selector is uitgerust met

een handbediend circuit met impedantiebeveiliging (impedantie zakt nooit onder de 5 ).

2. Veiligheidsaansluitingen

Dit symbool op het toestel of de verpakking geeft aan dat, als het na zijn levenscyclus wordt weggeworpen, dit toestel schade kan toebrengen aan het milieu. Gooi dit toestel (en eventuele batterijen) niet bij het gewone huishoudelijke afval; het moet bij een gespecialiseerd bedrijf terechtkomen voor recyclage. U moet dit toestel naar uw verdeler of naar een lokaal recyclagepunt brengen. Respecteer de plaatselijke milieuwetgeving.

Houd buiten het bereik van kinderen en onbevoegden.

Enkel voor gebruik binnenshuis.

Bescherm tegen regen, vochtigheid, stof, extreme temperaturen en opspattende vloeistoffen. Plaats geen objecten gevuld met vloeistof bovenop het toestel.

De behuizing wordt warm tijdens het gebruik.

• De garantie geldt niet voor schade door het negeren van bepaalde richtlijnen in deze

handleiding en uw dealer zal de verantwoordelijkheid afwijzen voor defecten of problemen die hier rechtstreeks verband mee houden.

• Om beschadiging te vermijden, zet u het toestel best niet aan onmiddellijk nadat het

werd blootgesteld aan temperatuurschommelingen. Wacht tot het toestel op kamertemperatuur gekomen is.

• Schade door wijzigingen die de gebruiker heeft aangebracht aan het toestel vallen niet

onder de garantie.

3. Algemene richtlijnen

• Bescherm dit toestel tegen schokken. Vermijd brute kracht tijdens de bediening.

• Leer eerst de functies van het toestel kennen voor u het gaat gebruiken. Meestal is

beschadiging het gevolg van onprofessioneel gebruik.

• Om veiligheidsredenen mag u geen wijzigingen aanbrengen.

• Gebruik het toestel enkel waarvoor het gemaakt is. Bij onoordeelkundig gebruik vervalt

de garantie.

• Bestel eventuele reserveonderdelen bij uw dealer.
