This vacuum cleaner is intended for household use only and NOT for commercial or industrial use.
READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS APPLIANCE
• It is a battery-operated appliance, the battery being charged inside the appliance.
• Only use the vacuum cleaner indoors and keep the area you’re cleaning well lit.
• Keep ngers, hair and loose clothing from moving parts and openings whilst using the vacuum cleaner.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. 3 Always protect the charger cord from heated surfaces

3 Use only SAA approved 10amp extension cords,
non-approved extension cords may overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the extension cord as it can be a trip hazard.
3 Always carry the vacuum cleaner by the handle.
3 Store your vacuum cleaner in a cool, dry area.

Assembling your 2-in-1 vacuum cleaner
Getting started
Line up oorhead with main body, push rmly into place.
Line up handle with main body and lower into place.
Charging your 2-in-1 vacuum cleaner
NOTE: Charging will be required before rst use. Initial charge requires 10 hours.
Plug the charger into the back of the docking station and plug into mains.
Slide the vacuum onto the docking station. The LED indicator on the handheld On/O button will initially turn green, then illuminate red to indicate that it is in place and charging.
Insert screw into back of the handle and tighten with a cross head screwdriver until handle is secured into place.
Once fully charged (8-10) hours LED indicator on the handheld On/O button will illuminate green and turn o to power saving mode.
When the vacuum needs recharging the LED indicator on the handheld On/O button will ash red and the machine will cut out.

Operating as an upright vacuum cleaner
NOTE: Do not use brushbar on hard oors as it may cause damage.
Unplug the charger from the mains and remove the vacuum from the docking station.
Press the ON button on the handle to turn the machine on.
Place foot on the oorhead and pull the handle backwards to recline the machine.
To select between fast and slow suction press the suction controller button.
The brushbar will not rotate when the vacuum cleaner is in the upright position.
TIP
Operating as a handheld vacuum cleaner
Using your machine
Press the handheld release button. Lift to remove the handheld from the main body.
For a more detailed clean, line up and push the 2-in-1 connector into the handheld nozzle, then push and attach the 2-in-1 tool securely onto the connector.
Press the On/O button to switch the handheld o. Pull and remove the 2-in-1 tool and connector from the nozzle. Line up and return handheld into main body.
Press the On/O button to switch the handheld on.
Always take extra care when cleaning stairs. Always switch the handheld o before connecting or disconnecting the accessories and before returning the handheld to the main body.

Emptying the dirt container
CAUTION: Always switch o the vacuum cleaner before carrying out any maintenance or troubleshooting.
Press the handheld release button. Lift to remove the handheld from the main body.
Squeeze tabs to remove lter, lter frame and separator.
Press the dirt container release button to remove the dirt container.
Hold dirt container over a bin allowing dirt/debris to fall out.
Don’t over ll the dirt container. Replace the lters every 6 months, depending on level of use. Severely discoloured and damaged lters need to be replaced.

Cleaning the lter
CAUTION: Always switch o the vacuum cleaner before carrying out any maintenance or troubleshooting. Do not use your vacuum cleaner without the lters in place.
Press the handheld release button. Lift to remove the handheld from the main body.
Tap lter, lter frame and separator over a bin to remove any dirt and debris. Do not wash lter frame or separator.
Press the dirt container release button to remove the dirt container.
Pull foam lter from underneath of lter frame. Wash foam lter under running water (max 40’C). Do not use detergent.
Squeeze tabs to remove lter, lter frame and separator.
Leave for at least 24 hours or until fully dry before replacing into the machine.
For best cleaning result lters require cleaning every 4-6 uses or as needed.

Cleaning the terminals
CAUTION: Always switch o the vacuum cleaner before carrying out any maintenance or troubleshooting. Do not use your vacuum cleaner without the lters in place.
Using a dry cloth or soft dusting brush remove any dust or debris from terminals in vacuum, on handheld and on docking station.
For best performance terminals in vacuum, on handheld
CAUTION
Battery Maintenance
• Never short-circuit the battery, i.e. never touch both poles simultaneously, especially with metal objects.
• Never dismantle the battery.
• Never expose the battery to high temperatures.
• Improper handling can lead to liquid leaking from the battery. This can cause skin irritations. Avoid any contact with the uid.
• Do not replace the battery with a battery of a dierent type.
• If it becomes necessary to replace the battery, contact the Vax Careline on AU: 1300 361 505 / NZ: 0800 800 900 to determine the location of your nearest authorised service agent.

Clearing blockages
Press the handheld release button. Lift to remove the handheld from the main body.
Press the oorhead release button and pull oorhead to remove.
Remove any blockage from the main body.

Cleaning blockage for the brushbar
If the brushbar has been obstructed, the motor protection sensor may have been activated. Clear any obstruction from the brushbar, stand the machine onto the docking station and wait 30 minutes for the vacuum cleaner to reset itself.
Using a pair of scissors remove any threads or hair caught around the brushbar.
Changing the brushbar
Turn the lock release to unlock the oorhead cover. Lift and remove oorhead cover.
Remove brush bar by lifting side of brushbar not connected to the spindle rst.
Replace the brushbar. Fitting the spindle side rst, line up and push the brushbar into the spindle. Push the other side of the brushbar back into the oorhead and ret the oorhead cover.

SolutionProblem
• Check the machine is fully charged. Go to ‘Using your machine’.
• Check the charger is plugged into the mains and correctly connected to the docking station. Go to ‘Getting started’.
• Check the handheld has been correctly tted into the main body.
• Check terminals on vacuum, handheld and docking station are clean. Go to ‘Let’s talk technical’.
• If the brushbar has been obstructed, the Motor Protection Sensor may have been activated. Clear any obstruction from the brushbar. Wait 30 minutes for the vacuum cleaner to reset itself.
• Check the vacuum is connected correctly to the docking station. Go to ‘Getting started’.
• Check terminals on vacuum, handheld and docking station are clean. Go to ‘Let’s talk technical’.
• Check charger and docking station for damage. If damaged please contact our Customer Care Line on: AU: 1300 361 505 / NZ: 0800 800 900 Monday-Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm
• Check the charger is plugged into the mains and correctly connected to the docking station. Go to ‘Getting started’.
• Empty the dirt container and clean lters. Go to the ‘Taking care of your machine’ page.
• There may be a blockage in the vacuum cleaner. Go to ‘Clearing blockages’.
• The brushbar may not be turning. Go to ‘My brushbar isn’t turning?’ below.
• Low suction has been selected, increase to high suction. Go to ‘Using your machine’.

Why is the LED light Continually ashing?
• If the brushbar has been obstructed, the Motor Protection Sensor may have been activated. Clear any obstruction from the brushbar. Wait 30 minutes for the vacuum cleaner to reset itself.
• The brushbar may be blocked. Go to the ‘Let’s talk technical’ page.
• The Red light will ash when the vacuum needs recharging. Go to ‘Getting started’.
