Basic safety precautions
• This Floormate Cordless is for use on sealed hard oors only.
• Only use the Floormate Cordless indoors and keep the area you’re cleaning well lit.
• Keep ngers, hair and loose clothing from moving parts and openings whilst using the Floormate Cordless.
• It is a battery-operated appliance, the battery being charged outside the appliance.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should not play with the cleaner. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be made by children without supervision.
• Do not pull or carry by charger cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not place product on cord. Do not run appliance on cord.
• Don’t handle the charger plug or use the cleaner with wet hands.
• With brushes on , do not allow cleaner to sit in one location for an extended period of time as damage to the oor can result.
• Do not vacuum hard or sharp objects such as glass, nails, screws or coins etc.
• Don’t not vacuum plaster dust, concrete dust or any other building or vitreous material.
• Do not vacuum our, baking soda or any other powder-based carpet refresher or deodoriser.
Do’s
• Always turn o the Floormate Cordless before carrying out any maintenance or removing the battery.
• The clean water tank should only be lled with warm water (max 40°C). Filling the clean water tank with hot or boiling water may damage your machine and invalidate your warranty.
• Turn o all controls on the Floormate Cordless before disconnecting or connecting the battery.
• Use only the battery (Vax part no. BH03120ANZ) supplied by Vax. Other batteries may burst causing serious personal injury or damage.
• Use only the charger (Vax part no. BH03200ANZ) supplied by Vax.
• Only use Vax hard oor cleaning detergent. Using other solution may cause excess foaming.
• Always protect the charger cord from heated surfaces or near open ames.
• To assist in reducing drying time, be certain the area is well ventilated.
• Always make sure the lters and water tanks are tted correctly before using your the cleaner.
• Use only SAA approved 10amp extension cords. Care should be taken to arrange the extension cord as it can be a trip hazard.
• Water will drip from the brushes and underside of the cleaner after use and may puddle. Do not leave the appliance on wood or laminate ooring after use to avoid damage and ensure to soak up drips with a towel or absorbent material.
• Keep the charger and batteries in a dry place, and use them indoors only.
• Please refer to oor manufacturer’s care recommendations before use, and test your ooring by running the Floormate Cordless over a small hidden area rst, if no damage or discolouration occurs continue cleaning. Not suitable for use on water sensitive ooring or oating oorboards.
• Replace battery with Vax battery only. Use of another battery may present a risk of re or explosion.
• Do not use charger with damaged cord or plug. If appliance or charger is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors or dropped into water, take it to a Vax authorised repair agent prior to continuing use. Please keep instructions for further use.
• Do not place cleaner on stairs or furniture as it may result in injury or damage.
• Do not clean over oor electrical outlets.
• Don’t attempt to remove blockages with sharp objects as this may cause damage to your Floormate Cordless.
• Don’t use the Floormate Cordless with incorrect voltage as this may result in damage or injury to the user. The correct voltage is listed on the ratings label.
• Don’t vacuum up hot coals, cigarette butts, ash, matches or smoking hot burning items or use in an area where there may be harmful uids (chlorine, bleach, and ammonia drain cleaner).
• Don’t try to short the terminals of the battery and the charger.
• Always carry the Floormate Cordless by the handle.
• Always use the Floormate Cordless in an upright position. To prevent motor damage from dirty water, never hold the Floormate Cordless upside down or lay on its side.
• Store your Floormate Cordless in a cool, dry area. Before storing your Floormate Cordless please ensure all water/detergent tanks and lters are thoroughly clean and dry.

• Do not disassemble or heat above manufacturer’s maximum temperature limit (60° C/140°F) or incinerate.
• Replace battery with Vax battery only. Use of another battery may present a risk of re or explosion. Dispose of used battery promptly. Keep away from children.
• Do not disassemble and do not dispose of in re. Do not attempt to disassemble the battery or remove any component projecting from the battery terminals.
• The battery and charger have no user serviceable parts. Fire or injury may result.
• Prior to disposal, protect exposed terminals with heavy insulating tape to prevent shorting.
WARNING: For best performance terminals on battery, battery charger and vacuum cleaner must be clean and free from dust and dirt.
Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.

Getting started
PLEASE READ ‘LET’S TALK SAFETY’ AT THE BEGINNING BEFORE USE.
Raise handle to upright position until it clicks and locks into place.
Pull the nozzle release latch upwards and forwards to remove.
Lie your Floormate Cordless on its back. Line up the spindle on the SpinScrubTM brushes with the plate on the base of the Floormate Cordless. Push SpinScrubTM brushes rmly to lock into place.
Line up and push nozzle until clicks into place.

Do not disassemble or heat above manufacturer’s maximum temperature limit (60° C/140°F) or incinerate. Replace battery with Vax battery only. Use of another battery may present a risk of re or explosion. Dispose of used battery properly. Keep away from children. Do not disassemble and do not dispose of in re. Do not attempt to disassemble the battery or remove any component projecting from the battery terminals. The battery and charger have no user serviceable parts. Fire or injury may result. Prior to disposal, protect exposed terminals with heavy insulating tape to prevent shorting. The battery is to be disposed of safely at your local battery recycling centre.
For best performance terminals on battery, battery charger and Floormate Cordless must be clean and free from dust and dirt. Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
Charging the battery

Fit the battery onto the battery charger.
Removing the battery
Press the release button, hold base of battery charger and lift the battery to remove.
The battery charger light will turn blue when charging. If a red light appears an error has occurred, remove the battery and ret.
To check how much charge is left on the battery, press down on the battery button and see the battery life indicator.

The battery will be fully charged after 3 hours and the charger light will turn o.
IMPORTANT: The battery will need to be fully charged before rst use.
NOTE: The life expectancy of the battery will vary depending on the usage of the Floormate Cordless. If you require

Using your machine
IMPORTANT: Only use Vax hard oor cleaning detergent. Using other solution may cause excess foaming.
Excessive foaming will prevent the machine from working eectively. Using other detergents will invalidate the warranty.
Filling the clean water tank
Press the release button on the clean water/ detergent tank. Pull to remove tank.
Twist clean water/ detergent tank cap clockwise to re-t.
Twist clean water/ detergent tank cap anti­clockwise, lift to remove.
Tilt clean water/detergent tank and line up onto Floormate Cordless. Push until it clicks into place.
Using the clean water/ detergent tank cap, pour the required amount of detergent to the ll line (approx. 60ml per 1 litre of water).
Pour detergent into tank. Top up tank to ll line with warm water (Max 40˚C).
Using your machine
IMPORTANT: Please refer to oor manufacturer’s care recommendations before use, and test your ooring
by running the Floormate Cordless over a small hidden area rst. If no damage or discolouration has occurred once the area is dry, continue cleaning. Not suitable for use on water sensitive ooring or oating oorboards. Vacuum your hard oor thoroughly prior to using your Floormate Cordless.
NOTE: If you just want the brushes to spin, push scroll selector control forward one click to the central position.
Pull to open battery cover. Fit the battery into the Floormate Cordless. The battery will click into posi­tion when correctly tted.
Press the handle release pedal and pull handle backwards.
Push scroll selector control forward 2 clicks. Squeeze trigger to release clean water and detergent (WASH mode), release trigger to pick up dirty water (DRY mode).
In WASH mode, with the trigger held down to release clean water and solution, slowly move the Floormate Cordless forward to arms length. Release the trigger and pull the Floormate Cord­less backwards to pick up.
TIP
To enhance drying on the oor
surface, release the trigger and continue to move machine over the area to pick up dirty
solution.
Taking care of your machine
IMPORTANT: Remove battery before carrying out any maintenance on your machine.
NOTE: The dirty water tank has an automatic shut o to prevent the tank from overowing. If this is
activated, the Floormate Cordless will not pick up and the sound of the motor will change. The dirty water tank will need to be emptied.
Emptying the dirty water tank
Press the release button on the dirty water tank. Pull to remove tank.
Cleaning the lter
Remove dirty water tank lid from dirty water tank and lift oat.
Lift dirty water tank clips up and outward to release. Lift to remove dirty water tank lid.
Pinch lter together to remove from lid.
Empty dirty water over the sink. Rinse dirty water tank and lid under water to remove debris. Replace dirty water tank lid.
Rinse under water (max. 40˚C) to remove debris. Leave to fully dry before replacing back into your Floormate Cordless.
Tilt dirty water tank and line up onto Floormate Cordless. Push until it clicks into place.
IMPORTANT: Empty and rinse out clean and dirty water tanks and leave to air dry before replacing. Do not leave solution stored in the tanks between uses.

IMPORTANT: Remove battery before carrying out any maintenance on your machine.
Cleaning the nozzle
Pull the nozzle release latch up and forward.
Cleaning the brushes
Press both brush release buttons to unlock brush assembly.
Remove nozzle from Floormate Cordless and rinse under running water (max. 40°C).
Remove the brush assembly cover. Rinse brushes under water to remove debris (Max 40˚C).
Remove any debris from squeegee by wiping with a damp cloth.
Taking care of your machine
Cleaning terminals
Using a dry cloth or soft dusting brush remove any dust/debris from terminals on battery charger, battery and Floormate Cordless. Do not use water or any solutions on terminals, battery or charger.
Carrying and storage
To lower handle, press handle release button and fold handle to storage position.
The Floormate Cordless can be moved by lifting the carry handle on the front.

Why won’t the Floormate Cordless turn on?
Why won’t my Floormate Cordless pick up?
• Check the ‘This pack contains’ panel on the box to make sure the part is denitely included in your unit.
• Check the battery is inserted correctly into the vacuum cleaner.
• The battery may not be charged, remove and charge the battery.
• Battery may be too hot, remove and allow to cool for 30 minutes. Replace battery.
• The dirty water tank has an automatic shut o to prevent the tank from overowing. If this is activated, the machine will not pick up and the sound of the motor will change. The dirty water tank will need to be emptied. The nozzle may be blocked. Go to ‘Taking care of your machine’.
Why won’t the water/ detergent dispense?
Why won’t the battery charge?
Why is the battery charger light continually ashing?
• Clean water tank may not be locked in position.
• Clean water tank may be empty and need to be relled.
• Check the battery charger is plugged in.
• Check the battery is inserted correctly into the charger.
• The battery may not be connecting with the charger. Remove the battery and unplug charger, wait 10 seconds then retry.
• This could also indicate that the battery is fully charged and ready to use.
• Check the battery is inserted correctly into the charger.
• The battery of charger has an error. Remove the battery and unplug charger, wait 10 seconds then plug charger into socket and reinsert the battery.
• Check terminals on battery and Floormate Cordless are clean.
