• It is a battery-operated appliance, the battery being
charged outside the appliance.
• Only use the vacuum cleaner indoors and keep the
area you’re cleaning well lit.

(including children) with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge unless they have been given supervision

Don’ts
8 Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle,
close a door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges
or corners. Do not place product on cord. Do not run
appliance on cord.
8 Don’t handle the charger plug or use the vacuum
cleaner with wet hands.
8 Don’t attempt to remove blockages with sharp objects
as this may cause damage to the vacuum cleaner.
8 Don’t try to short the terminals of the battery and
the charger.
8 Don’t use the vacuum cleaner with incorrect voltage as
this may result in damage or injury to the user.

8 Don’t vacuum up hot coals, cigarette butts, ash, matches
or smoking hot burning items or use in an area where
there may be harmful uids (chlorine, bleach, and
ammonia drain cleaner).
8 Do not vacuum hard or sharp objects such as glass,
nails, screws or coins etc.
8 Don’t not vacuum plaster dust, concrete dust or any
other building or vitreous material.
8 Do not vacuum our, baking soda or any other
powder-based carpet refresher or deodoriser.

disconnecting or connecting the battery.

Replace battery with Vax battery only. Use of another

3 Always protect the charger cord from heated surfaces
or near open ames.
3 Use only SAA approved 10amp extension cords, non-
approved extension cords may overheat. Care should
be taken to arrange the extension cord as it can be a
trip hazard.
3 Always carry the vacuum cleaner by the handle.

Fire or injury may result.
Prior to disposal, protect exposed terminals with heavy
insulating tape to prevent shorting.

Getting started with your LithiumLifeTM battery:

be clean and free from dust and dirt.

Charging the battery
Fit the battery onto the battery charger. The battery charger light will turn blue when charging. If a red light appears an error
has occurred, remove the battery and re-t. Once the battery is fully charged the charger light will turn o.
Removing the battery from charger
Press the release button on the battery, hold the base of battery charger and lift the battery to remove.
The battery can remain on the battery charger once fully charged.
TIP
NOTE: The life expectancy of the battery will vary depending on the usage of the handheld cleaner.

CAUTION: Always switch o the handheld cleaner and remove the battery before carrying out any maintenance
or troubleshooting.
Hold the battery securely
and press the release button
on the top of the battery.
Emptying the dirt container
Press the dirt container
release button.
Don’t over ll the dirt container to avoid blocking the air ow through the handheld cleaner.
Lift to remove dirt
container lid.
Lift separator tabs on
either side of dirt
container. Lift to
remove separator.

CAUTION: For best cleaning results lters require cleaning every 4-6 uses or as needed.
Do not use your handheld cleaner without the lter in place.

What to do if it goes wrong

Why does my

have no power?
Why won’t the
handheld cleaner
pick up?
• Check the battery is inserted correctly into the handheld vacuum cleaner.
Go to ‘Getting started’.
• Check the handheld has been correctly tted into the main body.
Go to ‘Getting started’.
• The battery may not be charged, remove and charge battery.
• Check terminals on battery and handheld cleaner are clean.
Go to ‘Lets talk technical’.
• Battery might be too hot, remove and allow to cool for 30 minutes.
Replace battery.
• The Motor Protection Sensor may have been activated. If this has happened,
switch o the handheld cleaner. Remove and empty the dirt container and
check for blockages. Clean the lters and allow the handheld cleaner to cool
for approximately 1 hour (if you have washed the lters you will need to wait
24 hours for the lters to fully dry before putting them back into the handheld
cleaner).
• Empty the dirt container and clean lters. Go to ‘Taking care of your machine’.
• There may be a blockage in the handheld cleaner. Check , the nozzle of
handheld, separator, shroud and tool for blockages.
• The separator has not been tted correctly. Go to ‘Taking care
of your machine’.

and unplug charger, wait 10 seconds then retry.
• The battery is fully charged and the charger light has turned o.
• The battery has not been fully charged. Go to ‘Getting started’.
• Check the battery is inserted correctly into the charger.
• The battery or charger has an error. Remove the battery and unplug charger,
wait 10 seconds then plug charger into the mains and re-insert the battery.
• Check terminals on battery and handheld cleaner are clean.
Go to ‘Lets talk technical’.
CAUTION: To reduce the risk of personal injury, remove the battery before performing maintenance
/troubleshooting checks.
