Layout
Before installing the Vantec 2-Port SuperSpeed USB 3.0 PCI-e Host Card, please see the photo below highlighting the availabl e USB 3.0 ports of the card.
Note: Make sure to connect a SATA power to P3 as additional power is required to function.
Hardware Installation
1. Turn off and unplug the power cable from the back of the

computer as well as any other attached devices.
2. Remove the cover to access the internal hardware of the computer (refer to the manufacture of the computer system/case documentation for more details).
3. Locate a free PCI Express slot and remove the metal cover plate on the rear of the computer case. (2-Port PCI-e SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Host Card will fit and work with any PCI Express slot whether it be a x1, x4, x8, x16 slot. Performance may vary with each slot.)
4. When installing the 2-Port PCI-e SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Host Card, make sure to fasten the bracket as documented in your manufacture’s documentation.
5. Be sure to connect the SATA power connector from the power supply to the card as it does require additional power to function properly.
6. Place the case cover back onto the computer.
7. Reattach the power and other devices back to the computer.
Driver Installation
1. When you are booting up the computer for the first time with
the new hardware installed, Windows will display the 'Found

New Hardware Wizard'.
2. Cancel the automatic driver installation and run the
Setup.exe located on the Driver CD.
Note: Setup.exe can also be found and downloaded from our website at www.vantecusa.com
3. Run installer setup.exe on Driver CD “X:\UGT-PC302\” to
have the latest driver for 32/64bit Windows. (where X is the drive path for your CD-ROM drive)
4. When installation of the driver is complete, please reboot
the system as prompted to complete the driver installation.
Note: When drivers have been successfully installed, you may check if installation was successful within the Device Manager where “NEC Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller” will be shown.

Warranty
The 2-Port SuperSpeed USB 3.0 PCI-e Host Card comes with a 1 year limited warranty (90 day parts). If your unit becomes defective within that time frame, please go to
www.vantecusa.com
exchange or repair. Cosmetic defects and missing parts are not covered under this warranty. Please check the contents of the unit to make sure you received all parts. Also, check for any cosmetic flaws. If any parts are missing or if there are cosmetic defects, please contact the retailer from which you purchased the unit immediately and ask for a replacement.
