Vaisala LAP®-3000 and optional RASS for mesoscale observations.
Lower Atmosphere Wind Profiler for your needs
The Vaisala LAP®-3000 is a Doppler beam swinging wind proler that reliably provides continuous and frequent proles of horizontal wind speed and direction and vertical velocity up to 3 km above ground level (agl). An extended antenna aperture option improves the proler performance by narrowing beam width, increasing gain and reducing side lobes of the antenna array.
When an optional Radio Acoustic Sounding System (RASS) is added to the Vaisala LAP virtual temperature proles up to 1.5 km agl. These altitudes are maximum values and will change dramatically depending on atmospheric conditions, proler conguration, installation location and surrounding environment. The LAP ates fully unattended and provides

Software that suits yours application
The Vaisala LAP®-3000 wind proler control and signal processing software, LAP-XM multi-core processor in the Windows operating system. LAP-XM user dened conguration of the sampling parameters, signal processing and quality control algorithms, and multiple congurable data output formats, to provide customers location and application specic proler operation.
Up to one-year of wind and/or virtual temperature data may be stored on the radar processor. Averaged time series, spectra, and moments data can also be archived.
The Vaisala LAP developed under a Cooperative
