1. Read Instruction Manual carefully and follow installation instructions.

2. Ensure that the water inlet is opened first. Then open the outlet pipe
and allow water to flow out from outlet pipe and then switch the power
supply ON.

3. Please be sure to close the water inlet tap only after switching the
power supply OFF.

4. Even after following the above, if the red indicator does not glow,
please contact our service centre immediately.

5. To have longer life of heating element, ensure the water hardness
should not be more than 100TDS

6. Periodic service of water heater by authorized Usha Service Centre is
strongly recommended.

THERMOSTAT AND THERMAL CUTOUT :

Your instant water heater is provided with Capillary type thermostat and
Disc Thermal Cut-out.The device cuts off electricity supply when
temperature rises above 85 degrees.

FUSIBLE PLUG:

There is a fusible plug provided in the water heater which melts if the
temperature of the water heater exceeds the safety limits due to any
reason. In addition, melting of the fusible plug drains the hot water while
simultaneously drawing in cold water thereby allowing the water
temperature to reach a safety level. Contact the service centre
immediately.

PRESSURE RELEASE VALVE:

The instant water heater is provided with a pressure release valve to
release excess pressure inside the tank in case it crosses the specified
limit as per ISI norms.

ISI MARK:

This Water Heaters are ISI approved.

1. Your Usha Instant Water Heater is made of non-corrosive ABS plastic
body, copper heating element and SS tank along with safety devices
like thermostat, thermal cut out, fusible plug, pressure release valve.

2. Water enters into the inner tank through the inlet pipe at a normal
working pressure.

3. When the tank is full, the water will flow through the outlet. Switch the
power supply ON. The green lamp will light up.

4. Water flow can be controlled to control the water temperature. With a
greater rate of flow, the temperature of the water drawn is lower and
vice versa.

INSTALLATION GUIDELINES SAFETY FEATURES

Place the installation template (provided with this manual) in a vertical

position on the wall wherever you need to fix the water heater on the
wall.

Taking reference from the markings on this template, drill suitable holes

in the wall.

Plug these holes with wooden or plastic pegs (rawl plugs) and fix the

screws very firmly into them.

Provide an electric power supply connection to the unit using a D.P

switch, properly earthed.

Please ensure that the pressure in the water heater is less than the

rated pressure. If it is more than rated pressure, install pressure
reducing valve at the inlet.

Check for water line blockages. Ensure proper water flow.

Connect the inlet of the unit to the incoming water supply line with only

flexible tubing.

The cold and hot water pipes should not be directly connected to the

heater unit – flexible connector tubes are required to prevent damage
to the unit when tightening the couplings with a wrench.

Ensure flow of water from outlet before connecting electric power

supply to the appliance.

Do not use excessive force while tightening inlet and outlet couplings.

This may cause serious damage to the water heater. Use cross
spanner for tightening.

Do not tamper with the Pressure Release Valve settings.

It is strongly recommended to use ELCB.

Check supply voltage at the place of installation.

No extension cord to be used.

Ensure all couplings/joints are leak-proof.

Check the water heater operation for one complete cycle i.e. one cycle

of Thermostat operation, i.e. Cut-off and cut-in.

Usha Instant Water Heater carries warranty of 2 years (24 months) for all
safety devices and 10 years against tank leakage from the date of
purchase.

THIS WARRANTY WILL BE GOVERNED BY THE TERMS AND
CONDITIONS AS MENTIONED BELOW:

The warranty is valid only when:

• The product has been installed, used and maintained in accordance
with the instruction manual.

• The sale receipt or duly filled and stamped warranty card (by
authorized representative of USHA Company showroom, or USHA
distributor, or USHA retailer, or USHA vendor or Usha Channel
Partner) is presented at the time of the complaint.

• The product has not been opened or tempered with by any
unauthorized person.

LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS AND DAMAGES:

• The Company shall not be liable for any loss or damage
arising/resulting from indirect or consequential loss or damages.

• The Company aggregate liability in respect of all claims under the
warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the Product
or at Company’s option, replacement of the Product with like or
similar Product.

• The Company excludes all other warranties, conditions, terms,
representations and undertakings whether express or implied.

• Parts of the product repaired or replaced under the terms of this
warranty are warranted only for the remaining period of the original
warranty period.

• Surface coating, plastic / glass parts, Bakelite parts, rubber / nylon
parts and normal wear and tear of parts shall not be covered under
this warranty. All such parts shall be repaired / replaced on costs +
taxes basis.

• Only authorized service centres of Usha shall repair the said product.

• It shall be the absolute discretion of the company to affect the repairs
or replacement of parts whether at the site of installation or at any
authorized service centre.

• The customer is requested to preserve the original invoice for
necessary verification and produce the same, as and when required.

5. The heating element heats up the water to a predefined temperature.
At this point, the Green light will turn OFF and thermostat automatically
switches OFF the power supply to the unit. As the temperature of water
inside the tank drops the thermostat again switches ON the power to
the heater and the Green light will turn ON. This process continues till
you switch OFF the main power supply to the heater after usage.

6. In the rare case of the thermostat failing to operate, the thermal cut out
operates at 85 degree Celsius and switches OFF the power supply.
The Red lamp will light up in case of this event contact nearest
authorized service centre or customer care centre.

WARRANTY CARD

TERMS OF WARRANTY

THE WARRANTY WILL BE VOID IN CASE OF THE FOLLOWING

EVENTS:

This warranty is valid only when the failure of the product does not arise

due to use for any unintended purpose. A defective product/part will be
repaired within the warranty period provided it is properly packed. The
Company price will be charged for worn out or broken parts not covered
under warranty. The claims for missing parts should be notified within 30
days from the date of purchase of the product or within such time frame
as the Company may deem fit, exceeding which the claim shall stand
denied.

• If the product is not used as per the instructions given in the User
Manual supplied with the product.

• If any repair work carried out by a person other than Usha’s
Authorized Service Centres.

• If any Spare Part used other than recommended Original Usha
Spares.

• If any damage is caused by accident, mishandling, tampering with
installation, improper electric circuit outside the product or on
account of incorrect power supply other than required 230V AC, 50
Hz.

• If the serial no. of the product or any part thereof is deleted, defaced,
damaged, altered, obliterated or tampered with or removal for any
reason whatsoever.

• If the product is used for commercial purpose(s).

• If the warranty card is not completely filled and signed on the
purchase of the product.

The above warranty is applicable only in INDIA.

The courts at Delhi shall have sole and exclusive jurisdiction in relation
to any matters and dispute arising under this warranty.

This Instant Water Heater is warranted for two years against all
manufacturing defects from the date of sale. In the event of any
complaint, please contact your nearest Company Service Centre or call
at our Toll Free no: 1800-1033-111

This Warranty is valid only when:

1. The Instant Water Heater has not been opened or tempered with, by
any unauthorized person.

2. The warranty card or cash memo duly signed by the authorized
dealer are presented with the complaint.

3. The Instant Water Heater has been installed, used and maintained in
accordance with the instruction manual.

This Warranty does not apply for:

1. Damages due to chipping, peeling, plating and denting.

2. Breakage or damage to components made out of Bakelite, Urea,
ABS, SAN and such plastic, materials, rubber parts and cord.

3. Normal wear and tear of parts.

4. Damage resulting from accidents, mishandling or negligence on part
of the customer. Liability for consequential loss or damage is neither
accepted nor implied.
