ROM*, USB port, and NMEA compatible navigation software. The 3
rd
party mapping/navigation
softwaremay haveits ownsystem requirements,pleasecheck with softwa
revendor for details.

GETTING STARTED
These areonlyafew simple stepsthatyouneed tofollowbeforeusingyour
USB
GPSreceiver:
InstalltheUSB driver andonto your laptop from theincluded CD

ROMor downloadthe files fromourweb

Plug-intheGPSreceiverintoyour laptop.
NOTE:
From within your mapping, or navigation software (including the supplied GPS Information utility), you will
needtomanuallyconfiguretheselection
of theCOM porttowhatwas assigned tothe GPSreceiver so thatproper
communication between the GPS receiver and mapping program can occur. Most all software requires that you
manuallyconfiguretheCOMport setting for anyGPSdevice youuse.
IMPORTANT
:1.Youmust changethe default rate setting of your mapping softwareto 4800if this is not
currently set as such
otherwiseGPSdatacannot bereceived.
