7. Product Warranty
Univex warrants product against defects in materials and workmanship for a specified
period depending on product / model. Please review your owner’s manual for
established warranty periods. The warranty period begins from the date of invoice and
covers all labor and parts under the following terms and conditions.
Product must be used properly in accordance with manufacturers operating instructions.
The warranty shall be voided if the product is modified, tampered with, misused, or
subjected to abnormal working conditions.
The warranty does not cover physical damage to the surface of this product.
The warranty does not include standard routine maintenance and cleaning.
Damages incurred in transit or from installation error, accident, alteration and misuse are
not covered under warranty.
NOTE: Transit damages should be reported to the carrier immediately. Univex shall not be
liable for any consequential, compensatory, incidental, or special damages.
This warranty does not apply when the malfunction results from the use of this product in
conjunction with any non conforming accessories, products, or peripheral equipment.
Univex reserves the right to replace or repair equipment under warranty.
All requests for warranty service must be authorized by Univex Service prior to the repair.
Any repairs that are not properly authorized by Univex shall be the monetary responsibility
of the customer.
All work performed under warranty shall be performed between the hours of 8.00 a.m. and
5.00 p.m. local time, Monday through Friday Parts and products provided as a result of
warranty service may be other than new but will be in good working order.
Any replacement of parts or materials not offered or specified by Univex shall void all
warranties in their entirety.
Accessories have a 30-day replacement or repair warranty for the period beginning on
date of purchase.
All defective materials that are replaced become the property of Univex Corporation.
If service is not covered under this warranty, or if no defect or other problem is found to
exist, or if the customer elects not to repair the product after service has been dispatched,
a minimum evaluation fee will be charged.
7.1 Export Warranty:
The following terms & conditions apply to any Dealer sale of a Univex product intended for
ultimate installation outside the United States of America. The standard warranty for Univex
products does not apply to any export orders. In lieu of the standard warranty, Univex
warrants products ultimately installed outside the U.S.A. against defects in material and
workmanship for the standard warranty period for that product as found in the current
equipment price list, but in no event to exceed eighteen months from the date of shipment
from Univex.
Univex agrees to replace, F.O.B. factory, any parts proved to be defective and subject to
warranty. The warranty does not cover the cost of any special packaging, freight or labor,
such cost being the sole responsibility of the Dealer. Univex’s responsibility is solely limited to
providing the replacement parts.
Univex employs international representatives to certain regions. Any sales that will ultimately
be installed in these regions will need to go through these representatives.
