PATENTED, 2-STAGE, PRE-INTRUSION,
ELECTROMAGNETIC SHOCK SENSOR
This VS1000XR is equipped with a 2-stage, pre-intrusion, electromagnetic shock
sensor. If the vehicle is lightly tapped, the first stage sensor will cause the alarm
siren to "chirp." This feature provides a pre-intrusion warning to would-be thieves. If
a harder impact is made to the vehicle, the second stage sensor will activate the
alarm and sound the siren. .
NOTE: The alarm will not have this pre-intrusion feature if your alarm is
programmed to use current sensing.
ALARM DURATION, SIRENAND FLASHING LIGHT
If the alarm is triggered, it will sound for four 28-second cycles with a 1a-second
pause between cycles. For example, if a door opening is detected, the alarm will
automatically sound for 28 seconds. If the door has not been shut before the end of
the 28-second cycle, the alarm will continue to sound for three more cycles and then
stop sounding. During this time the lights will flash in 38-second cycles with no
pause. If any of the other sensors are triggered, or the same door is closed and then
reopened, the process will begin again.
FOUR-FUNCTION LED
The alarm brain's red LED has four useful functions:
. The RF transmitter-receiver can be tested by pressing the transmitter button. If
the alarm brain LED comes on, the transmitter-receiver is working properly.
. When in valet mode the LED will flash at intervals of 1.5 seconds on, 0.5 second
off. This alerts you to the fact that the alarm is currently off. It also gives the
appearance to would-be thieves that the alarm is armed.
. When the VS1000XR is fully armed, the LED will flash at intervals of 0.5 second
on, 1.5 seconds off, as a warning to would-be thieves that your vehicle is
protected by an alarm.
. When the VS1000XR is not armed nor in the valet mode, the LED will be off.
PASSIVE OR ACTIVE ARMING
.PASSIVE ARMING: The alarmwill automatically arm itself 15seconds
after turning off the ignitionkey and closing that lastopened door.
. ACTIVE ARMING: The alarm will only arm after pressingthe transmitter's
button#1 providedignition key is off and all doors are closed.
CHIRP DISABLE
Arming or disarming chirp confirmation can be turned off. However, the chirp disable
feature will not disable the pre-intrusion chirp and full siren blast.
. CHIRP CONFIRMATION
. NO CHIRP CONFIRMATION
PASSIVE OR MANUAL DOORLOCK SELECTION
(PASSIVE MODE ONLY)
. Auto
. Active Lock: The doorlocks will not lock unless the remote transmitter is used.
Lock: The doorlocks will lock each time the alarm rearms by itself automatically.
