This unit is NOT waterproof. DO NOT expose this unit to moisture.
DO NOT expose this unit to rain.
Do not use this product near water, for example, near a bath tub, wash bowl, kitchen sink or laundry tub, in a wet basement or near a swimming pool.
Avoid using a telephone (other than a cordless type) during an electrical storm. There may be a remote risk of electric shock from lightning.

Use only the power cord and batteries indicated in this manual. Do not dispose of batteries in a re. They may explode. Check with local codes for possible special dis­posal instructions.
Do not place the handset in any charging cradle without the battery installed and the battery cover securely in place.

Under power failure conditions this appliance may not operate. Please ensure that a separate telephone, not dependent on local power, is available for emergency use.

For telephone networks other than Telecom there may be a charge incurred for local calls if the Insert 0 feature is on. Turn Insert 0 o.
This equipment may not provide for the eective hand-over of a call to another de- vice connected to the same line.

Key Icon What it does
Dial/Speaker key
Make/Answer a call. Activates the speakerphone, if pressed during a call.
End/Power key
End a call. Press and hold to activate On/O, as described in page 17.
Navigation Key
Up/CID key
Scroll up through lists and menu options Increase the earpiece/speakerphone volume during a call. Enter the CID book, as described in page 23.
Down/Phonebook key Scroll down through lists and menu options Decrease the earpiece/speakerphone volume during a call. Enter the Phonebook, as described in page 32.
Keys Description

INT key Set up internal call to another handset. Transfer an incoming call to another handset. Set up a conference call with an external line and an
internal handset.
Redial Key Redial a number, as described in page 21. Insert a pause when pre-dialing a number.
MENU/R
Menu (Select)/R key
Enter the menu functions in standby mode. Conrm selections & actions. Performs “Flash (Recall)” function.
Cancel/Mute Key Return to the previous menu. Enter to mute during a call. Delete an incorrect character/digit.
Press and hold to turn on/o keypad lock function. Set up a conference call, as described in page 48.

LCD Icons Description
New Call: Indicates you have missed one or more calls.
O Hook: Indicates the line is engaged.
Hands-free: Indicates the handsfree function is enabled.
Battery Icon: Indicates battery charge level.
Signal Icon: Indicates whether the current signal exists or not. If the
handset is too far from the base, this icon will blink on the LCD.
Keypad Lock: This icon appears when the keypad is locked.

3. Replace the battery cover, by sliding it into place.
4. Use an AC adaptor to connect the power jack on the base to a regular indoor (240V AC) power outlet.
Charge the Battery
INSTALLING YOUR PHONE
Install the rechargeable batteries before using your phone.
Phone
#Charge handsets completely (about 15 hours) before using. To charge the hand-
set, you should place it on the base or charger. When you place the handset on the base or charger the handset automatically turns on.

Installation Instruction
1. Connect the modular ends of the AC power adaptors to the power jack of the base and charger, then plug the AC adaptors into standard AC wall outlets.
2. Connect one end of the phone line cord to the phone line jack of the base, and the other end to a standard phone wall outlet.

Doorbell/Intercom
1. Press in on the notch and slide the battery cover down and o.
2. Insert two C size alkaline batteries batteries, matching correct polarity (+, -).
3. Replace the battery cover, by sliding it into place.
Charge the Battery
#Reversing the orientation of the batteries may damage the unit. # When replacing the batteries, always use good quality C size alkaline batteries. # If you have installed the batteries, you do not need to connect the 12 V DC posi-
tive input and negative input.

Installation Instruction
1. Choose a proper location for the doorbell. Be sure to consider the average height of the visitors.
2. Place the iron mounting bracket on the wall and x it by drilling the screws.
3. Slide down the doorbell and nish the installation.
4. If you do not install two batteries, you should connect the 12 V DC Positive input and negative input. If a trigger signal is required, for an optional door lock, then connect the other two terminals.
#The silica gel plug on the rear of the doorbell is used to prevent the screws from
rusting. You should remove this plug before connecting the line. But after the con­nection, remember to cover it again.

If the handset is in power o mode, when you place the handset on the base, it auto­matically turns on. To turn the handset on or o in standby mode, follow these steps:
1. To turn on the handset when it’s o, press and hold the
key until you switch the display on. On power up, the handset will enter subscription mode and search for a registered base. The LCD display will show “Searching” and the signal icon will ash.
2. To turn o the handset, keep the
key pressed until the display disappears. If the handset is successful in nding a base, the handset will enter the standby mode, the display will show the handset number or the handset name (if you have one saved as described on page 26), signal icon, battery icon and current time. If the handset is unsuccessful in nding a base, the handset will behave ac­cording to the Out of Range condition.
Turning the Handset On/O
#When battery power is very low, if you place the handset on the base, the display
will show “......”. YOU SHOULD FULLY CHARGE THE HANDSET BEFORE USING.
