CONSEJOS E INSTRUCCIONES DE USO

•Lea detenidamente estas instrucciones y guárdelas para posibles consultas en el futuro!

•Conecte el aparato a una toma eléctrica cuya tensión coincida con la indicada en la placa de características.

•Para más protección, se aconseja la instalación en el circuito eléctrico del baño de un disyuntor diferencial (RCD) con una corriente operativa residual no superior a 30 mA. Para más información, póngase en contacto con un electricista.

•Tanto al enchufar como desenchufar el aparato, el interruptor de encendido / apagado (ON/OFF) debe estar apagado.

•NO INTRODUZCA EL APARATO EN AGUA O CUALQUIER OTRO LIQUIDO.

•PRECAUCIÓN: No utilice este aparato

•Tras utilizar la plancha de pelo, déjela enfriar para evitar quemarse los dedos.

•No la utilice con el cabello mojado.

•No la utilice con pelucas o extensiones.

REVESTIMIENTO CERÁMICO

Las placas calefactoras tienen un revestimiento cerámico. Esto hace que tengan una superficie suave y uniforme. Las ventajas de este revestimiento cerámico son:

-Mejora el deslizamiento por los cabellos.

-Las placas se calientan con mucha rapidez y mantienen una temperatura constante adecuada para cada peinado.

FUNCIONAMIENTO

Coloque la plancha sobre una superficie plana y resistente al calor, y enchúfela.

Para encender la unidad, mantenga presionado el interruptor de encendido / apagado (ON/OFF) durante por lo menos 2 segundos (Fig. 2).

La temperatura estándar del aparato es de 130ºC, «Ready» parpadeará mientras no se haya alcanzado la temperatura. Tan pronto como se alcance la temperatura, «Ready» dejará de parpadear (Fig. 3). Ahora puede comenzar a alisar su cabello.

Cuando haya finalizado de alisar su cabello, apague el aparato usando el interruptor de encendido / apagado (ON/OFF), desconéctelo y deje que el aparato se enfríe antes de guardarlo.

CONFIGURACIÓN DE LA TEMPERATURA

Al pulsar el botón ▲ o ▼ usted puede cambiar la temperatura estándar en pasos de 10ºC desde 130 a 230ºC. La temperatura actual se indicará a través de un número en la pantalla LCD (Fig. 4). Si la temperatura baja momentáneamente durante el uso, el aparato se calentará nuevamente (Parpadeará «Ready»).

Al pulsar el botón ▲ y mantenerlo presionado durante 2 segundos, la configuración actual pasará a la configuración más alta (Fig. 5).

NOTA: Si usted apaga el aparato y lo enciende nuevamente, la temperatura quedará configurada de manera predeterminada en 130ºC.

FUNCIÓN DE ALISADO

Los tratamientos con calor sólo deben realizarse sobre cabellos sanos. No son aconsejables para cabellos frágiles o si han sufrido recientemente una decoloración que haya podido debilitarlos.

Utilice la plancha sólo con cabello seco. Desbloquee las placas, deslice el botón (Fig. 1).

Una vez la plancha de pelo ha alcanzado la temperatura configurada, divida el cabello en mechones, seleccione un mechón de cabello y colóquela entre las placas. Sujete las placas cerradas durante unos segundos, la placa flotante puede ayudar a que el cabello entre completamente en contacto con la placa, tirando hacia abajo, desde la raíz hacia las puntas, con un único movimiento regular y manteniendo el mechón recto para evitar que se ondule el cabello. En melenas largas o medias será necesario repetir el proceso dos o tres veces (Fig. 6).

Cuando cuente con la ayuda de otra persona, la amplia superficie de apoyo le ayudará a mantener las placas cerradas.

Repita el proceso con el resto de los cabellos, trabajando mechón a mechón.

NOTA: Nunca deje el aparato en un mismo lugar durante más de 2 segundos.

FUNCIÓN DE BLOQUEO

Pulse el botón ▼ y manténgalo presionado durante 2 segundos para que la unidad pase al modo de bloqueo, entonces el botón ▲ o ▼ quedará bloqueado y el símbolo de bloqueo aparecerá en la pantalla LCD (Fig. 7). Esta función puede ayudarlo a bloquear la configuración cuando lo desee.

Después pulse el botón ▼y manténgalo presionado durante 2 segundos para liberar. El botón ▲ o ▼ se reactivará y el símbolo de bloqueo desaparecerá de la pantalla LCD.

NOTA: La función de bloqueo no influirá el interruptor de encendido / apagado (ON/OFF).

APAGADO AUTOMÁTICO

Esta plancha de pelo incluye una función de seguridad de apagado automático. Después de aproximadamente 60 minutos, el aparato se apaga de manera automática.

Para reactivar el aparato, usted puede:

-Apáguelo y enciéndalo de nuevo con el interruptor de ENCENDIDO/APAGADO (ON/OFF).

-Desenchufe el aparato y vuelva a enchufarlo.

IONIZACIÓN

Esta plancha de pelo contiene un generador de iones. Los iones son partículas con carga eléctrica natural.

La función de ionización reduce la estática de su cabello, para hacerlo más lacio, suave y brillante.

El generador de iones podrá usarse con cualquier configuración de calor cuando la unidad esté encendid (Fig. 8).

MANTENIMIENTO Y LIMPIEZA

Una vez haya finalizado, apague el aparato y déjelo enfriar.

Antes de limpiarla, compruebe que la plancha esté completamente fría. Limpie la carcasa exterior con un paño seco. Las placas pueden limpiarse con un paño ligeramente humedecido para eliminar los restos de los productos de peluquería.

No introduzca este aparato en agua. No utilice una limpiadora a presión.

Utilice el botón de Bloqueo / Desbloqueo para cerrar las dos placas. No guarde el aparato hasta que se haya enfriado.

ADVERTENCIAS DE DEPOSICIÓN / ELIMINACIÓN:

El usuario es el responsable de llevar el aparato a un centro de desecho de residuos especiales al finalizar su vida útil. De lo contrario, podrá ser sancionado en virtud de los reglamentos de desecho de residuos vigentes. ADVICE AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

•Please carefully read, follow and retain the operating instructions!

•Only connect the appliance to the voltage stated on the rating plate.

•For additional protection, the installation of a residual current device (RCD) having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA is advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask an electrician for further information.

•The ON/OFF switch must be switched off when plugging the appliance in or unplugging it.

•NEVER IMMERSE THE APPLIANCE INTO WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.

•WARNING: Do not use the appliance near

water.

• WARNING: Do not use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing water.

•When the appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since the proximity of water presents a hazard even when the appliance is switched off.

•Do not handle the appliance if your hands or feet are wet.

•Do not operate the appliance with the cable still coiled.

•This appliance is not intended for use by persons

(including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

•ATTENTION: Children, persons insensitive to heat or persons with a reduced sensitivity to heat may not realize when too much heat directed towards their skin. This may cause burns.

•Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

•Never unplug it by tugging on the mains cable.

•Before cleaning the appliance, make sure that the appliance is unplugged.

•Do not switch the appliance on if the power cord or plug is damaged or if you suspect that the appliance is not working correctly.

•The cable must not be replaced by the user. Cable repairs and replacements must be carried out exclusively by an Authorized Technical Service Centre.

•The ceramic heating plates stay hot during use, so avoid touching them and avoid any skin contact.

•After using the hair straightener, let it cool down to avoid burning your fingers.

•Do not use if hair is wet.

•Do not use on fake hair.

CERAMIC COATING

The heating plates have a ceramic coating. This produces a smooth, even surface. The advantages of this coating are:

-It improves the sliding action across the hair.

-The plates heat up much faster and stay at a constant temperature suitable for hairstyling.

OPERATION

Place the hair straightener on a flat, heat-resistant surface and plug it in.

To switch the power, hold down the ON/OFF switch at least 2 seconds (Fig. 2).

The standard temperature of the appliance is 130°C, “Ready” is flashing when the temperature is not ready. As soon as the set temperature is reached, “Ready” stops flashing (Fig. 3). You can now start straightening your hair.

When you have finished straightening your hair, switch the appliance off by using the ON/OFF switch, unplug it and let the appliance to cool down before storing.

SETTING THE TEMPERATURE

By pressing ▲ or ▼ button you can change the standard temperature in 10°C steps from 130-230°C. The current temperature is indicated by the numeral on the LCD (Fig. 4). If the temperature falls momentarily during use, the appliance will heat back up again (“Ready” flashes).

When pressing ▲button and hold it for 2 seconds, the present setting will be jumped to the highest setting (Fig. 5). NOTE: If you switch the appliance off and then on again, the temperature defaults to 130°C.

STRAIGHTENING FUNCTION

Heat treatment should only be applied to healthy hair. It is not recommended for weak hair or hair that has been recently bleached, as this may have weakened it.

Use the hair straightener only on dry hair.

Unlock both heating plates, set slide button (Fig. 1). Once the hair straightener has reached the set temperature, divide the hair into strands, select one strand of hair and place it between the plates. Hold the plates closed for a few seconds, floating plate can help the hair full contact with the plate, pulling downward from the roots to the tip, in a single even movement the strand of hair should be kept straight when doing this to prevent it from becoming wavy. It may be necessary to repeat this procedure two or three times on mediumlength or long hair (Fig. 6).

When somebody else is helping you with the straightening, the wide support area will help them to keep the plates closed.

Repeat the process with the rest of the hair, working strand by strand.

NOTE: Never leave in one place longer than 2 seconds.

KEY LOCK FUNCTION

Press ▼ button and hold it for 2 seconds to put into the key lock mode, then ▲ or ▼button will be locked and the LCD will appear a lock symbol (Fig. 7). This function can help you to lock the setting as you want.

Then press ▼ button and hold it for 2 seconds to release. The ▲ or ▼button will be re-active and the lock symbol will be disappeared on the LCD.

NOTE: Key lock function will not influence the ON/OFF switch.

AUTOMATIC SWITCH OFF

This hair straightener has an automatic switch off safety feature. After approx. 60 minutes the appliance automatically switches off completely.

To reactivate the appliance, you can:

-Switch it off and on again with the ON/OFF switch.

-Unplug the appliance and plug it again.

IONIZATION

This hair straightener contains an ion generator. Ions are naturally occurring electrically charged particles. The ionizing feature reduces static in your hair, which helps to make it sleeker, softer and shinier.

The ion generator can be used with any heat setting when the appliance is switched (Fig. 8).

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

Once you have finished, switch off the appliance, unplug it and let it cool down.

Make sure that the plates are completely cold before cleaning the appliance. Wipe the outer casing down with a dry cloth. The plates can be cleaned with a slightly dampened cloth to remove the remains of any hairdressing products.

Never immerse the appliance into water. Do not use a steam cleaner.

Use the Lock/Unlock to close two plates. Do not store the appliance away if it is still hot.

ADVICE ON DISPOSAL:

Our goods come in optimised packaging. This basically consists in using non-contaminating materials which should be handed over to the local

waste disposal service as secondary raw materials.

This product complies with EU Directive 2002/96/EC. The crossed wheelie bin symbol shown on the appliance indicates

that when it comes to dispose the product it must not be included in the household refuse. It must be taken to a special refuse collection point for electric and electronic appliances or returned to the distributor when purchasing a similar appliance. Under current refuse disposal regulations, users who fail to take discarded appliances to special refuse collection points may be penalised. Correct disposal of discarded appliances means that they can be recycled and processed ecologically, helping the environment and allowing materials used in the product to be reused. For more information on available waste disposal schemes contact your local refuse service or the shop where the product was purchased. Manufacturers and importers are responsible for ecological recycling, processing and disposal of products, whether directly or via a public system.

Your local town council can provide you with information about how to dispose of obsolete appliances.
