USB Port Inspection
1. Before program installation, please check the USB port for proper installation.
2. Go to “Start menu - Control Panel – System applet – click on Hardware button Device Manager tab”.
3. Check if there is “Universal Serial Bus Controllers” line in the device controller list.
4. It will be displayed as “General Serial Bus Controllers” or “Universal Serial Bus
Controllers” depending on the PC environment.
5. The USB port cannot be used if there is no such “Universal Serial Bus Controllers”.
In such a case, please ask the vendor of your PC for its service before installation.
Driver Installation (for Windows® 98 SE)
• Before installation, please disconnect other USB products connected to the USB
port.
• Do not connect the product to your PC until complete installation of the application
and driver. If you have already connected the product to your PC, please disconnect
it before proceeding.
1. Place the supplied CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive of your PC.
2. The Auto-run will launch the installation screen.
3. If the installation program does not start automatically, double-click “setup.exe” in
the CD.

4. Follow the installation screen instructions and reboot after completion of the
installation.
5. For Windows ME / 2000 and XP, just insert the Digi Pocket Player directly to the
USB port and the system will self detect and install.
6. Windows will alert that the device is ready for use and launch Windows Explorer to
transfer your Music files over to the Digi Pocket Player.
7. For files management, follow standard Windows operating procedures for Windows
Explorer.
Formatting
1. Formatting the Digi Pocket Player, all of the files and folders on the device will be
deleted.
2. Go to Windows Explorer, Digi Pocket Player will automatically recognized as a
"Removable Disk" and you can format it directly.
3. In Windows Explorer, right-click on the removable disk and select Format from the
popup menu, as shown below.
4. Select "FAT" as the file system. If you select "FAT32" to format the device, the
device’s memory information will be displayed incorrectly. In such case, please reformat the device using FAT.
5. After formatting is complete, click "Close" to exit the Format window.
6. Remove the Digital Player and reboot
7. Re-connect to the computer once Windows restarts.

Inserting a Battery
1. Open the cover on the right side of the product by pushing it to the arrow direction
and pull open.
2. Insert the battery into the compartment according to the direction inscribed on the
back and push the cover shut.

Music File Playing
1. Turn on the product and press the “uI” button to play MP3 music.
2. Press the button one more time to pause.
3. To select a song you want to play, use the “uuI” or “Itt” dial control to move to the
song in the list (must aware of the list sequence as displayed in Windows Explorer)
and press the playback button.
4. To stop, press the “Stop” button that is also the dial but instead of rotating, press the
dial inwards.
5. To play another song while a song is playing, turn the “uuI” or “Itt” dial and the
selection will either jump in front or back of the song list.
6. By pressing the “+” or “-” button the volume will increase or decrease respectively.
Section Repeat (REPEAT A-B)
1. Press the “A-B” button on the front to mark the repeat start point while a song or
voice message is playing.
2. Press the “A-B” button again to mark the last point of the file to repeat.
3. The Playback will automatically start the Re.
Hold Function (HOLD)
1. This function is used to prevent other functions from operating while the product is
running.
2. Slide the “HOLD” switch at the bottom of the Digital Player towards the arrow
direction. All the functions are now locked.
3. To unlock, slide the HOLD switch back.
Installation check
1. To confirm that Windows had detected and install the Digi Pocket Player correctly,
go to Control Panel – System applet – Hardware button – Device Manager tab.
2. Check under the Disk Drive and USB Controller device list. Refer to below for the
Device name.

Remove Digi Pocket Player
1. To remove the Digi Pocket Player after file transfer operation, please right click on
the Notification area’s “Safely Remove Hardware” applet.
2. Then select the USB Mass Storage Device and click on OK button. Windows will
then prompt at the Notification area that it is now safe to remove, then unplug the
Digi Pocket Player.
3. If Windows did not respond, reboot the system with the Digi Pocket Player attached.
Re-try the safe removal again.

Troubleshooting Tips
• Please check the followings first if the product does not work properly.

Check if the “HOLD” switch on the lower end of the
product is locked.
Turn the “HOLD” switch to the original direction.
Check if the extension is “MP3”.
This product can play only the “MP3” files.
Check the polarity of the battery.
Check the remained capacity of the battery.
Remove the battery from the product, connect the
product to a PC using a USB cable and power it on.
When you power the product on, “READY” sign will
appear on the LCD.
In this status, refer to the Formatting Procedure of this
manual.
Remove the battery from the product and reinsert it.
If not detected normally, click the right button of the
mouse to delete it.
After deletion, click “hardware change search” icon in
the upper end to newly install the device.
When it is normally installed, the yellow exclamation
mark in the front will disappear.
Check “Control Board _System (System Registration
Information) _Device Controller and see if there is
“USB Controller (General Series Bus Controller,
Universal Series Bus Controller).
If you do not have the above devices in your PC, you

cannot use a USB port. In this case, you have to so set
the bios (CMOS) environment that you can use a USB
