4. Remove the 10mm cap screw where the muffler assembly fastens to the left side rear foot peg bracket.
5. Carefully slide the muffler assembly rearward until it is free of its mounts. Do not remove the muffler yet as the O2 sensor is still attached. With the muffler held in place under the bike use a 22mm open end wrench and unscrew and remove the O2 sensor. Now you can completely remove the muffler assembly. Do not remove the header pipes.
6. Install the supplied hanger bracket using the 10mm bolt
7. provided with the kit, reusing the stock 10mm washer. Secure the bracket to the bike using the same hole that the original muffler bolted to. Be sure to apply a thread locking substance (i.e. Loctite) to the bolt. Do not tighten completely yet.
8. Hold the new connector pipe roughly in place and thread the O2 sensor completely in and tighten. Be sure to coat the threads of the sensor with the included packet of hi-temp anti-seize. Do not over tightened the O2 sensor, refer to the BMW shop manual for proper torque specification.
9. Slide the furnished T-bolt clamp over the pipe and install the pipe onto (overlap the two pipes) the headers securing it with the clamp. Do not tighten completely yet.
10. Place a bead of the hi-temp sealant on the outside edge of the s-bend that goes into the cansiter. Slide the TBR canister onto the end of the S-bend pipe. Wipe off the excess sealant that will squeeze out.
11. Align the canister clamp with the hanger bracket being sure to locate both tabs to the outside of the hanger bracket. Secure it with the supplied 8mm bolt, nut and washers (ref. illustration). It may be necessary to twist the canister, clamp and/or connector pipe to properly align everything. Be sure to point the tip of the canister away from the rear tire.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
We recommend that this performance part be installed by a qualied
motorcycle technician. If you have any doubts as to your ability to install this performance part, please consult with your local motorcycle dealer. Read all
instructions rst before starting installation. Make sure the motorcycle and exhaust system are completely cool before starting the installation. Also, make sure the bike is secure on a center stand or ideally a service lift during installation. Be sure to save all stock components for possible use later.
12. Make sure everything is aligned and tighten all hardware. Affix the connector springs to the muffler.
13. Before you run the bike, clean off all fingerprints and dirt, as any oily residue will etch the metal and become somewhat permanent when the system gets hot. Run the bike and enjoy. It is normal for some white smoke to appear the first time you start the bike. This is packing/manufacturing oil from inside the pipe burning off. Check for gaps or leaks. If you find a leak, a little high temperature silicon sealant should fix it. After 50 to 100 miles, recheck all fasteners for tightness.
