Installation Instructions
1. Make sure the bike is completely cool before starting
the re-pack. Make sure the bike is secure on a stand. This
proceedure may be performed on or off the bike.
2. Remove endcap bolts, endcap, washer, p-tip and spark
arrestor (if applicable).
5. Remove old packing material, may be easier with
pliers. Install new packing material, the cutout section
of the packing is the top, so that it slides under the
hanger bracket.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
We recommend that this performance part be installed by a qualied
motorcycle technician. If you have any doubts as to your ability to install this
performance part, please consult with your local motorcycle dealer. Read all
instructions rst before starting installation. Make sure the motorcycle and
exhaust system are completely cool before starting the installation. Also,
make sure the bike is secure on a centerstand or ideally a service lift during
installation. Be sure to save all stock components for possible use later.

6. Install O-ring on outlet, make sure that it goes in the
upper groove, closest to endcap.
7. Use anti-seize tape on core threads, wrap the tape to the
left or clock-wise direction.
3. Loosen M2R retaining nut with the core nut tool that came
with your original exhaust system, uses a 27mm socket.
8. Install Outlet, you may use a soft mallot with the provided
rag so that you do not damage the outlet.
4. Remove outlet, may require use of a rubber mallot if
tight, hitting the edge of the outlet in the direction of
exhaust flow. You may also use the M2R outlet removal
tool (purchased seperately part # 005-99-T175).

9. Re-install smaller sized wave-washer then thread the
core nut on, and use core nut tool with 27mm socket and
tighten to 30lb-ft torque.

11. Align P-tip so that the slant is facing up. Re-install endcap
and torx bolts, tighten in a cross pattern.
12. If your sticker badge is beaten up, you can remove it and
clean the surface using brake clean and the provided rag,
re-install the sticker as shown.
10. Re-install P-tip (with spark arrestor if applicable). Install
Larger wave-washer on top of the P-tip if you are not
using spark arrestor. There always needs to be 2 pieces
under the endcap whether it is p-tip and washer, p-tip
and spark arrestor, spark arrestor and washer, or none at
all. See Diagram.
13. Double check to make sure that all hardware is tightened.
14. Before you run the bike, clean off all fingerprints and
dirt, as any oily residue will etch the metal and become
somewhat permanent when the system gets hot. Run
the bike and enjoy. Check for gaps or leaks. After first
ride, recheck all fasteners for tightness.
