Designed for 2U rack and other mounting options
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS. This manual contains information concerning the proper installation and use of Tripp Lite’s Power Distribution Units (PDUs). SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
Do not connect your PDU to an ungrounded outlet. Do not use it with extension cords or adapters that eliminate its connection to ground. Your PDU is designed for indoor use only. Install it away from heat emitting devices such as radiators and heat registers. Do not install where excessive moisture or other conductive contaminants are present. Never install electrical wiring during a lightning storm.
CAUTION! Outlets are divided into 240V AC and 120V AC types. A total load of 24 amps can be drawn from the PDU6K. Do not exceed this current rating when connecting equipment to the PDU6K. If you have any questions, call Tripp Lite Customer Support at (773) 869-1234.
Congratulations! Your PDU6K power distribution unit will add a wide range of electrical outlets to select Tripp Lite SmartOnline UPS Systems and SmartPro UPS Systems. The PDU6K is equipped with a NEMA L14-30P plug that should only be connected to the NEMA L-14-30R receptacle on the rear of your UPS.
A variety of installation options are available for the PDU6K including 2U rackmount, wall, underconsole and more. Put four rackmount screws through star washers and the unit’s mounting clip as shown (A) and attach to end panel using the predrilled holes.
Note: The user must determine the fitness of and supply rackmount screws, bolts or cage nuts required to hold the unit in place before installation on the desired surface.
