Video Splitter

NOTE: Follow these installation and operating procedures to
ensure correct performance and to prevent damage to this unit
or to its connected devices.
Introduction
The Video Splitter is a signal booster and splitter that takes video input from a single source and directs it to
multiple video outputs for monitors using analog signals. It extends the distance a signal is sent to about 210 ft.
Features:
• One video input to multiple video outputs

• Suitable for SVGA, VGA, and Multisync monitors
• Daisy-chain multiple units to increase the number of outputs
• Supports 350MHz bandwidth
IMPORTANT NOTE: This unit is not designed for CGA, EGA or MONOCHROME type monitors or
any monitor using a digital video signal.

Installation
Stand-Alone Installation:
1. Connect the PC's video output port to the Video Splitter's “Video In” port using an HDDB15 Male/Female
Monitor Extension Cable (Tripp Lite # P500-006, P500-025, P500-050, P500-100 or P510-006).
2. Connect the Video Splitter's “Video Out” ports to the input of your monitors either by using the existing
cable on the monitor or by using an HDDB15 Male/Male Monitor Cable (Tripp Lite # P502-006, P502-025
or P512-006).
3. Connect the provided power supply to the Video Splitter and turn on the unit. Your Video Splitter is ready
to go.

Use ONLY the 9V DC adapter that is supplied with this unit.

Multiple Unit Installation:
1. Connect the “Video Out” port from the first Video Splitter to the “Video In” port of the next unit in the chain.
Use a standard VGA HDDB15 Male/Female Cable (Tripp Lite # P500-006, P500-025, P500-050, P500-100
or P510-006).
2. Connect the power supplies to the Video Splitters and turn the power switch on.
3. Repeat steps 1-2 to connect more Video Splitters to the chain.
NOTE: Signal degradations may occur in Video Splitters toward the end of the chain. This is the only
limitation on how many units can be chained together.
Lifetime Warranty
TRIPP LITE warrants its products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for life. TRIPP LITE's obligation under this warranty is limited to repairing or replacing (at its sole option) any such defective products. To obtain service under this warranty, you must obtain a Returned
Material Authorization (RMA) number from TRIPP LITE or an authorized TRIPP LITE service center. Products must be returned to TRIPP LITE or
an authorized TRIPP LITE service center with transportation charges prepaid and must be accompanied by a brief description of the problem encountered and proof of date and place of purchase. This warranty does not apply to equipment, which has been damaged by accident, negligence or misapplication or has been altered or modified in any way.
EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HEREIN, TRIPPLITE MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITYAND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Some states do not permit limitation or exclusion of implied warranties; therefore, the aforesaid limitation(s) or exclusion(s) may not apply to the purchaser.
EXCEPT AS PROVIDED ABOVE, IN NO EVENT WILL TRIPP LITE BE LIABLE FOR DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF THIS PRODUCT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH
DAMAGE. Specifically, TRIPP LITE is not liable for any costs, such as lost profits or revenue, loss of equipment, loss of use of equipment, loss of
software, loss of data, costs of substitutes, claims by third parties, or otherwise.
