Operation

Note: Not all USB devices function well when connected to the additional downstream ports on the KVM switch (the ports adjacent to the keyboard and mouse console ports). The drivers for some USB devices must be un-initialized before the device is disconnected. Failure to do so may result in a system crash. Switching computers with the Port Selection Switch is equivalent to disconnecting the device. Therefore, if you are experiencing problems when switching ports, be sure that you un-initialize the drivers for these USB devices before switching.
Manual Port Selection
Each port has a corresponding port selection button on the front panel. Press the Port Selection button on the front panel to connect to the desired unit.
Auto Scan Mode
Automatically switches among the attached computers at regular intervals (3 or 15 seconds). Lets you monitor the activity of each PC without having to switch the ports yourself. Press the Auto Scan button on the front panel to invoke Auto Scan Mode. The Auto Scan LED flashes to indicate that the Auto Scan Mode is enabled. To turn Auto Scan Mode Off, press the Auto Scan button again. The Auto Scan LED will stop flashing when Auto Scan Mode is no longer in effect.
