Use Instructions for your Planter:
Place the planter on flat ground or surface.
Special consideration for planters crafted from magnesium oxide or poly resin material:
• It is best if planter is not left in standing water or snow for long periods of time. Standing water or
snow may cause damage to the base of your planter.
• During extreme winter conditions, we recommend moving your planter to a sheltered dry location
to help prevent damage to your planter.
Care Instructions for your Planter:
We recommend cleaning the planter before using it. New planters may often have residue from
production.
Any time you are putting new soil into a planter, it is best to clean the planter first.
Items you need:
Planter (Magnesium Oxide Material) – water, wash cloth
Planter (Poly Resin Material) – water, wash cloth
Planter (Metal) – Water, mild soap (optional), soft brush or wash cloth, and dry cloth (to dry after
washing)
Planter (Wood) – water, wash cloth. Special note for wood planters: Treat the wood periodically
with water-based protectant. This will help extend the life of your wood garden bed.
What you need to do:
1. Empty your planter of any dirt and dead plant material
2. Rinse the planter with a hose to remove dirt sticking to the sides
3. Wipe clean!
Depending on the planter material, the only task really needed to clean a planter or garden bed planter
is water and a soft wash cloth or soft brush. Let the planter dry before planting anything in it.
By cleaning your planter regularly, you will not only extend the life of the planter, but also allow for
healthy plants to grow. You will enjoy the results for many seasons to come.
