TRIAX 2010 IMPACT TEST SYSTEM
SPHERICAL HEAD FORM REFERENCE PROCEDURE

GENERAL:
The Triax 2010 User Manual document details the Triax 2010 Verification Procedure in Appendix A.
When using the spherical head form the verification procedure is still required, and a special fixture is
provided with each spherical head form system to assist in establishing the head form height above the
reference mat.

USE OF FIXTURE:
This fixture consists of a quick release mechanism with a hook to allow the mechanism to be suspended
from a suitable structure, such as a Triax system tripod. Also included are two wire rope lanyards
connected by a metal ring.
WARNING: DO NOT USE THE TRIPOD TO SUPPORT THE SPHERICAL HEAD FORM DURING NORMAL
TESTING. THE IMPACT OF THE TEST ARTICLE WILL CAUSE THE TRIPOD TO FALL CAUSING DAMAGE AND
PERSONAL INJURY.
