1. Before You Start

System Requirements

Computer with network adapter installed

Ÿ
ŸCat.5e or Cat.6 network cable
ŸThe surface must support at least 245g for the Switch
ŸThe power outlet should be within 1.82 m (6 ft) of the switch
ŸVisually inspect the DC power jack to make sure that it is securely

connected to the power adapter

ŸMake sure that there is proper heat dissipation from and adequate

ventilation around the Switch

ŸDo not place heavy objects on the switch

2. How to Install

1. Connect the Power Adapter to the TEG-S8g and then to a power outlet.

2. Connect a Cat.5e or Cat.6 RJ-45 network cable from the computer to an
available Ethernet port on the TEG-S8g.

Power

ŸGreen: Power is on
ŸNot Illuminated: Power is off

Link/ACT

ŸGreen (Solid): Link to another device
ŸGreen (Blinking): Activity is occurring from the link
ŸNot Illuminated: Nothing is detected on the port

Speed

ŸGreen: Connection to the port is 2000Mbps (Full)
ŸAmber: Connection to the port is 100/200Mbps (Half/Full)
ŸNot Illuminated: Connection to the port is 10/20Mbps (Half/Full) or nothing

is detected on the port
