1. Insert the Driver CD-ROM into your CD-ROM Drive. The prompt will

show up on top right corner, tap it to start the autorun.

2. Click Run Autorun.exe

3. Click Install Driver

4. Click Yes to setup driver.

MAC Installation

MAC 10.6 - 10.10 Installation

1. Insert the Driver CD-ROM into your CD-ROM Drive. Double-click the

CD and navigate to the directory of \Driver\OSX . Double-click on
TU3-ETG.dmg

2. The installation virtual drive will showed up on desktop. Double- click

and open the drive.

4. Click Continue to install the driver.

5. Select the destination and then click on Continue.

3. Double-clickTU3-ETG_v2.2.0.pkg to launch the installer

6. Authorize driver installation by entering your user name and

password, then click Install Software

7. Confirm the system restart message. Click Continue Installation

8. Waiting while driver is installing

9. Driver is successfully installed. Click Restart to restart your system.

10. Connect TU3-ETG to your MAC’s USB port. Checking the installation

by clicking Apple logo > System Preferences > Network. Click “+”
to add a new network card.

11. Choose “AX88179 USB3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet” Interface and enter

the Service Name for easy identification.

12. Click Apply to apply the change. You’ll see TU3-ETG network card is

installed correctly.

MAC 10.6 - 10.10 Uninstallation

The driver CD comes with an uninstall utility. Insert the Driver CD- ROM
into your CD-ROM Drive. Double-click the CD and navigate to the
directory of \Driver\OSX . You will find TU3-ETG_Uninstall_V140.
Double click if you want to uninstall TU3-ETG driver.

The uninstaller will bring Terminal app out and remover the driver. Enter
your password and then close this window when the job is done.

Linux Installation

Installation

TU3-ETG driver for Linux comes with source code. You have to build and
install the driver on you particular Linux environment. To build the driver,
open your terminal and find Linux driver source file in CD-ROM under
\Driver\Linux directory

Files for make and install:

ax88179_178a.c AX88179_178A Linux driver main file
axix.h AX88179_178A Linux driver header file
Makefile AX88179_178A driver make file

Execute the following command to compile the driver:

user@host# sudo make

ax88179_178a.ko kernel driver will be created in same directory.

Execute following command to install the driver into your Linux:

user@host# sudo make install

Limited Warranty

TRENDnet warrants its products against defects in material and workmanship,
under normal use and service, for the following lengths of time from the date of
purchase.

• TU3-ETG – 2 Years Warranty
If a product does not operate as warranted during the applicable warranty period,

TRENDnet shall reserve the right, at its expense, to repair or replace the defective
product or part and deliver an equivalent product or part to the customer. The
repair/replacement unit’s warranty continues from the original date of purchase.
All products that are replaced become the property of TRENDnet. Replacement
products may be new or reconditioned. TRENDnet does not issue refunds or
credit. Please contact the point-of purchase for their return policies.

TRENDnet shall not be responsible for any software, firmware, information, or
memory data of customer contained in, stored on, or integrated with any
products returned to TRENDnet pursuant to any warranty.

There are no user serviceable parts inside the product. Do not remove or attempt
to service the product by any unauthorized service center. This warranty is
voided if (i) the product has been modified or repaired by any unauthorized
service center, (ii) the product was subject to accident, abuse, or improper use
(iii) the product was subject to conditions more severe than those specified in the
manual.

Warranty service may be obtained by contacting TRENDnet within the applicable
warranty period and providing a copy of the dated proof of the purchase. Upon
proper submission of required documentation a Return Material Authorization
(RMA) number will be issued. An RMA number is required in order to initiate
warranty service support for all TRENDnet products. Products that are sent to
TRENDnet for RMA service must have the RMA number marked on the outside of
return packages and sent to TRENDnet prepaid, insured and packaged
appropriately for safe shipment. Customers shipping from outside of the USA and
Canada are responsible for return shipping fees. Customers shipping from
outside of the USA are responsible for custom charges, including but not limited
to, duty, tax, and other fees.

WARRANTIES EXCLUSIVE: IF THE TRENDNET PRODUCT DOES NOT OPERATE

AS WARRANTED ABOVE, THE CUSTOMER’S SOLE REMEDY SHALL BE, AT
TRENDNET’S OPTION, REPAIR OR REPLACE. THE FOREGOING WARRANTIES

AND REMEDIES ARE EXCLUSIVE AND ARE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES,

EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, EITHER IN FACT OR BY OPERATION OF LAW,
