DIGITAL DEPTH GAUGE
Thank you for purchasing this Trend product which should give lasting performance if used in accordance with these instructions.
INTENDED USE
This accessory is intended to be used to set the depth of cut of a router cutter or saw blade. It can also be used to measure hole depths up to 50.8mm deep. Do not install into high vibration machines.
SAFETY
Read and understand the instruction sheet carefully
before using. This is a sensitive precision tool. Do not disassemble or drop it. Please note the magnets in the base. Store out of reach of children. Do not use as a toy or as a weapon.
PLEASE KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS IN A SAFE PLACE.

OPERATION
On/Off Button:
Short press ON/OFF to turn on, under ABS mode short press it to set zero. Long press over 3 seconds to shut off. Auto shut off function in 5 minutes.
Mm/Inch/Fraction Button:
Short press mm/inch/fraction to convert between the three modes. Under fraction mode, within 1/32” ±0.004” readout will convert the number after radix point into fraction display.
Outside radix point the display will flash “in”.
INC/ABS Button:
Short press to convert between INC mode and ABS mode. Enter INC mode at the same time to set ZERO (display will show “INC”), enter ABS mode
and the LCD will display “ABS”.
Absolute Measuring (ABS)
Short press ON/OFF to turn on, short press INC/ABS to convert to ABS mode (LCD will display ABS symbol). Short press ON/OFF to set to zero. The measuring number is now absolute number.
Relative Measuring (INC)
The gauge can convert to INC mode at any position and at the same time set to zero (display will show INC symbol). The measuring number is now the relative number.
Depth Pin
The gauge has a depth pin that can be fitted onto the end of the rule to measure hole depths. When not used the pin can be parked on the housing tabs.
Scale Rule Locking Knob
n Rotate knob clockwise
to tighten the scale rule.
n Rotate knob
anti-clockwise it to loosen the scale rule.
Battery Fitting and Replacement
n To fit or replace battery pull the tab on the top of the LCD. n Pull out the battery container. n Remove the old battery. Insert the new battery type CR2032 3v. n Ensure negative pole of the battery is uppermost. The positive pole is
on the underside of the battery.
n Push the battery container back in carefully do not tilt or twist.

TROUBLE SHOOTING

MAINTENANCE
The depth gauge has been designed to operate for a long period of time with the minimum of maintenance. Continual satisfactory operation depends upon proper tool care and regular cleaning. To guarantee the accuracy do
not drop or cause other forms of impact on the gauge.
Cleaning
n Clean with a soft cloth. Do not to use the organic solvent to clean the gauge. Take care to protect against water and corrosion. Do not disassemble.
Storage
n Return to packaging after use. Store in a dry place, temperature should between –5°C +50°C and relative humidity not over 90%.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Recycle raw materials instead of disposing as waste. Packaging should be sorted for environmental-friendly recycling.

Batteries and the Environment
This unit uses Lithium Ion (Li-Ion) batteries. When battery pack needs replacing, we recommend the following: Discharge the energy from the batteries by running the
Li-lon
batteries down completely and then remove from the tool. Li-Ion cells are recyclable: so do not throw them away with your household waste. They may end up in an incinerator or landfill, which must be avoided. Instead, take the batteries to a Trend Service Agent, your local Stockist or a local recycling station. If necessary contact your local municipality for disposal information. The collected batteries will be disposed of properly and/or used for recycling purposes.
