Don’t let a patch of knee-deep sand give you the slip. Tacoma’s available
electronically controlled locking rear differential distributes power evenly
to both rear wheels, providing more grip in low-traction conditions.
HOW IT WORKS
A steel sleeve actuator locks the slide gear to the ring gear, locking the
rear axles. Once locked, the rear axle can apply all of its traction to help
get your truck moving in the right direction.
