RELATED RECALL
Models: C-HR (NGX##, ZYX10),Yaris (MXPA10, MXPH10),
Yaris Cross (MXPB10, MXPJ##), GR Yaris (GXPA16)
Published 25 February 2022

Background

Toyota has determined that a requirement exists for the initiation of a Safety Related Recall Campaign to
be conducted in accordance with the FCAI code of practice for safety related recall campaigns affecting
a range of C-HR (NGX##, ZYX10), Yaris (MXPA10, MXPH10), Yaris Cross (MXPB10, MXPJ##),
GR Yaris (GXPA16) vehicles sold in Australia.

Problem Description

The subject vehicles are equipped with a Millimeter Wave Sensor (Radar) Sensor and a camera to detect
objects, such as another vehicle in front of the subject vehicle. The Radar Sensor used by the Pre-
Collision System (PCS) may not have been activated properly in the vehicles involved during production.
In that case, PCS would be inoperative with no warning indicator to the driver. An inoperative PCS,
without a PCS malfunction indicator, may increase the risk of a crash in certain driving situations.

Affected Vehicles

18,490 vehicles identified below are involved in the Australian market.
Note: # indicates that various characters may occupy that position. Not all vehicles in these VIN ranges,
